Muckraker Posts: 332 Joined: 25 May 2009 | Oh damn I'm going to have to say Halo. Though specifically I mean the first one so it doesn't really help in the search for a new game. For 360 itself I'll go with Mass Effect (though I'm hoping that'll be left in the dust as soon as Dragon Age: Origins comes out). |

Very, VERY BIG explosions. I'd have to say the campaign for MGS3 would be my favorite, I mean god damn that's a fun game, and the soundtrack's groovy as hell |

I probably wouldn't get it if you're after story, after the first game it can get a bit convoluted, but the actual gameplay is completely solid and incredibly fun. Especially if you like playing co-op. |

i do like playing co-op, only recently played through gears 2 with my girlfriend's brother and i do find it fun to go through stories with someone else so i'll put that in the maybe pile so to speak. |

Absolutely this. |
Paperboy Posts: 40 Joined: 28 Sep 2009 | Bioshock has to be my favorite storyline so far, purely because of the fact that it can really drag me in. |

Why besides 7? And thats just asking for a flame war btw. |
Muckraker Posts: 245 Joined: 7 May 2008 | mass effect there some more but those are the ones that come to mind for me anyway |
Copy Clerk Posts: 84 Joined: 23 Jul 2008 | System Shock 2. I love that game so much, when I'd finished it I got that same feeling I get when I finish a great book. It was over, and I wouldn't be going back. For a while... Also, ICO. I know it's virtually plotless, but it was such a wonderful world to be in. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 929 Joined: 19 Apr 2009 | Mass Effect - the level of immersion is ridiculous, you grow attached to the characters and care for them, the game pulls you in and doesn't let go, not to mention the gameplay itself keeps you on your toes all the time, you never know, what's going to happen next. GTA IV - pretty much the same thing, except you get annoying calls from your cousin. Call of Duty 4 - never let's up, constant action and variety of missions. You sympathize with the characters and want to see what happens next. Too bad it's pretty short. |

Because I just didn't like it. All the people that worship 7 can go to hell it wasn't a hallowed piece of holy plastic it was a step into unknown territory for FF. |

Well in that case I highly recommend it. I'm a sucker for co-op and it really doesnt get any better than the Halo games. |

OK fair enough. I liked all of the final fantasy games so far. I've only played up to 10 though I didn't play X-2 because I heard from a friend it was crap and I never played 11 because I think it was online. The ones i've played are great though. 7 Will always be my favourate one though because it's the one that got me into the franchise |

X-2...bad??? That is a load of rubbish. No one liked it because it was too girly. I, however, looked past the large amount of females in the main story and found what was an engaging, fantastically told story and one hell of a fluid combat system. X-2's combat system was my favorite next to VIII. It was quick, clean, no-one was fixed to one spot which was nice, fafing around in the menus meant you would get shafted by the fiends you were fighting and, of course, I still had my lovely sweet random battles....*reminisces* Squeenix bring back random fighting...please...? |
