I'm currently using a Liquid Sniper that does 403 damage and 200% Criticals, and 98% accuracy. I'm just wondering if there's any better rifles than that that people have found, and where. I'm level 34 right now, and have had that rifle since level 23. I have yet to find a better one.

Mine does 503 damage causes fire damage x4 with high elemental chance has 25 bullets in the clip and has about 3.7 fire rate. It is the bees knees.

PS. I'm a level 50

Not found a decent sniper yet but a machinegun with 99.3 accuracy, no recoil and a 2,3x scope counts as one in my opinion. 105 damage, 4x explosions, high elemental chance, rof of 12 and magazine of 81 doesn't hurt either.

Yeah I've heard that the red text in some of the unique guns means something... like it adds an extra effect....

The volcano is also super accurate, you can even no-scope effectively with it.

Add maxed Gun Crazy to a masher and you've got a 40% chance to hit twice with each shot. With higher end ones that's be around 200x14 damage, with 70-80 accuracy. And a scope.

Jesus, I thought I was playing obsessively. I'm level 28 right now, and I haven't found anything that even came close to yours, but to be honest, I don't even use sniper rifles. I much prefer scoped revolvers for long range combat.

The highest straight up damage (With no elemental effects) sniper rifle I have found is a purple Jakobs at 1047 damage, with 95.7% accuracy.

Cyclops, it has something like 10x zoom when used. Also the bullets are said to travel instantly - no need to lead targets.

There's also one called the Invader? Regardless the gun I'm thinking of shoots like a masher. 5 rounds instantly with a tight spread - all 5 bullets hit most of the time.

I'm lvl 32 on my 4th charecter (Siren) I have a revolver that recharges ammo at 50+

My real pride and joy?

A 2 shot 4 corrosive revolver, that does 472 dammage, and +80 reload speed and 97 accuracy. It out powers my 545 dammage Jakobs sniper easily.

Fucking Hand cannon. No scope though, but I use the crosshair then tap right click and fire tactic, so it's just as accurate :)

Sweet... revolvers kick ass in BL. Mordecai is the only char I have yet to do a playthrough with, would you reccomend a gunslinger build?

I haven't really found any superweapons yet. My Lilith has a Hellfire SMG with insane damage but the fire rate is slow, I think its only 4.5. Still my first choice for most enemies though.

A Gunslinger/Bloodwing build is probably one of the highest DPS builds in the game. A maxed Bloodwing is ridiculous, especially alongside a Masher. Saying that though, i'd avoid maxing the pigeon, it does kind of turn things into easy mode, even in playthrough 2. Maybe try mixing Gunslinger and Sniper, you'll have close-long range completely covered and there'll still be some challenge in the game.

All "Volcano" means on a sniper rifle is that it has a guaranteed Fire proc (x4, "Pele demands a sacrifice! in red text"). It's not a unique weapon, and will have randomised stats like any other.

It's not necessarily going to be the "best" fire proc sniper rifle. I've been using an LB7 Liquid Wrath with a x3 fire proc that was better than both of the Volcano snipers I've found.

The Volcano snipers i've found have all been orange, meaning they're legendary. Yes, they have randomised stats, but they will always have x4 fire with the 'Pele demands a sacrifice' red text. Damage, accuracy etc. will change, obviously.

I do find it odd, that even with the harsh level system in Borderlands that some of my best weapons I got when I was many levels lower, and I've just help on to them.

Even more confusing is that the coloured "rarity" system means nothing most of the time.
