The console ARPG versions of Baldurs Gate. I was PISSED.
Not much all the music games can do to really change it up from each other. Guitar Hero was first so any other music game officially copies it. Rockband offered the first full band play which Guitar Hero had to copy in order to sell as much but I keep my love for Guitar Hero since I've been with it since its first installment. The original music game.
I was a buyer of guitar hero I, but then I switched to rock band because I like to stay with the original developers, not just a game title.
Band Hero is Guitar Hero with more emo/pop/pop-punk songs. Seriously, that's it.
Band Hero seems a lot more interesting than GH5, to be fair.
what about parrapa the rapper? that came before guitar hero
Brütal Legend was mostly an RTS but marketed as a god of war/open world kind of game. I still had tons of fun with it though.
to me Guitar Hero has sold out. just look at all the releases for this year ><, i started with Guitar Hero and i got to number three, but as soon as rock band came out i stayed with them ever since. not that Guitar Hero is a bad game i just want all the music to work for all games. and buying selected songs for just for one game?! no thanks! Rock Band you got my vote.
God of War, Heavenly Sword, and X Blades.... ....nuff said..
Hm... Touche. I guess the Guitar Hero series was the first that I heard about. And I'd say the one that made a solid name for the current style of music games.
Umm... wolverine was made in 1974 and god of war wasn't released until 2005, so I don't understand how you can be a clone of something that doesn't exist yet...
Apparently this time around the drums wont break. And also, Guitar Hero is no longer doing the whole band thing, that's why Band Hero exists.
Okaaayy...you think about where we are and get back to me when the penny drops.
Ninety Nine Nights = Dynasty Warriors + God Of War Final Fantasy XII = Ragnarok Online + JRPG - Multiplayer Uncharted: Croft's Fortune...Or wait, is that Nathan Drake: Tomb Raider? I forget. =P (Okay, so I keed; I just wanted to do the joke...)
Um, wow... I think some reality checking is in order.
Band Hero = Guitar Hero with gayer songs.
After looking around my local Gamestop a few days ago, I noticed a thing for pre-ordering Band Hero...now it may just be me...but wasn't this:

...essentially Band Hero. Guitar: check, Drums: check, Microphone: check, list of songs: check. ...
As anyone else noticed such things...such as some games that they have noticed that are essentially or pretty damn close to being some other game?
