Infamous Scribbler  Posts: 638 Joined: 26 Mar 2008     | Depends some games are easier to find, Borderlands trailers (earlier releases) had DJ Champion - No heaven, which caused me to look for his entire album (Chill em all) and i've enjoyed it, and the open song "aint no rest for the wicked" by caged elephant lead me to their album, Boom Boom Rocket caused me to look for that OST, need for speed underground led me to BT (crystal method was reinforced tho), some anime's have done the same as well, Samurai Champloo led me to Nujabes/Shing02, Ghost in the Shell to Yoko, they were all easy finds. Outside of that, some are difficult to find, like SF4's opening Exile's "the next door" but that song has had some different incarnations making it difficult to even get ahold of a decent version that isn't stacked to the left of my ear. Typically the best methods were, look on youtube for the song/artist and use wikipedia, then possibly use torrents or programs to rip the mp3 off youtube. |

Ya thats true aside from torrents and I having a bad relationship and its not so much of getting the specific mp3 but the specific mp3 without all of the foreground advertisement and so on. But regardless its at least something to do on a slow night |

The music throughout that trailer you linked to can be found in the opening cinematic...dunno what you're talking about. :S Unless we're thinking of different things. |

I think we are. The song playing in the opening cinematic of SFIV is The Next Door by EXILE. The song playing in the background of the trailer is a mix of Ryu's theme and The "Volcanic Rim" stage. |

Actually, no we're not. There's sort of two opening cinematics...watch the whole thing until the SF4 splash screen, and the Ryu/Volcano mix should show up. It also comes up occasionally in-game...seems to happen in Survival/Time Trial during the final stage. EDIT: Try this video. Your mix happens at 1:37. |

When I watch game trailers one thing that usually catches my attention is the incredible background music or song. Often the first thing I do is go looking for said song but unfortunately it always ends up being some remix or something made by the game company and the exact version they use is unattainable. My resent examples would have to be Halo ODST the live action trailer and Mass Effect 2.
Is this just me or are there others who are saddened by not being able to get this music and if so what game or whatever was it from?
