I don't know if this is really flame bait given that everyone is talking about games they thought were really good and that they liked therefore I can't really understand a spark and debate, maybe this will be one of those threads that brings the internets together. |

Actually, what I think there should be, is a sequel GOTY, and an original games GOTY. So the hyped up and anticipated games can duke it out, while giving original games a shot at greatness. |

Press Junketeer Posts: 358 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | I'm on a long list which I can't fully decide on: Uncharted 2, Dragon Age, Batman, and possibly AC2, too bad AC2 for PC isn't showing up til next year :( Dragon Age so far is placing 3rd on that list, but I suspect that it may climb to #1 since Bioware games get better the farther you get into it, and I've had all of 4 hours of play in that game. But I will bet you that MW2 will win. Even the PC version will win the PC GotY somehow. The press will point to something like the awesome single player (all 5 hours of it) and the great multiplayer (all 18 players of it). |

We're getting towards the end of what has been a frankly "interesting" year for games with some titles being grand dissapointments, some meeting expectation and some being much better than believed.
I was interested in seeing what people judge to be their game of the year (you can include titles that are due for release before January ofc) and i thought i'd start by saying i think my game of the year is Batman: Arkham Asylum.
I have had many joyous hours playing through the story mode and doing the challenges and i have nearly always found a novel way to do every fight and it's that variance that i think makes it such a strong title.
