After the recent wave of monumental failure after monumental failure (not to mention the spike up in pricing) I think anyone with half a functional brain that wants their money's worth has long since abandoned the purchase of this crap.

That said, a lot of people who did so started looking at replacements for their previous warfare-based shooter of preference. I did too. And then I stumbled across this beauty.

Be still my beating heart... This looks bigger and better than MWII ever did. I never took a good look at Battlefield games simply because... I didn't. No reason, I was just "busy" with other warfare shooters.

Thus I'm ever so glad IW decided to shoot themselves repeatedly in both feet with a shotgun, since it made me discover this.

I feel like I'm back in high school. Was enamored over a girl that wasn't that big a deal, but I had such a crush on her I couldn't look at any other. Then she became a complete bitch, I saw her for what she was, and with that I discovered a much prettier and smarter girl who had been looking at me all along.

In short, anyone else kicking MWII to the curb in favor of Bad Company 2?

I'll be being both eventually. Seeing as I don't have LIVE the changes to the 360 version won't affect me. I missed out on the first Bad Company but played the demo often. BC 2 looks pretty good.

I wasn't even that interested in MWII to begin with, but BC2 has peaked my interest now. I'll probably pick it up, if my economy allows it.

To be honest, I quite likes BF:BC on xbox but something that really gets me is the perspective. There's something just wrong about the way you see your gun and how the visuals look at the prehipheral. Thus I prefer other shooters when playing for long stretches.

Being screwed out of your money isn't just pc based, i'm being asked to fork over £55 if i want to buy this which i increasingly don't, according to a conversion website thats $91. lame.

For me, it's the single player game that makes CoD so great. The first Bad Company had a terrible single-player experience - here's hoping they fix that.

It is for PS3, Xbox360 and the PC. Unlike IW, however, DICE has reassured it's fanbase that they will not forsake them .

Totally a buy for me.

See, I think there's a good chance that the developers of the game knows more about building the multiplayer parts, than any random interweb whinger.

Just saw some MP footage and it looks really good. Theres a PS3 MP beta so i'll check that out when released. Theres plenty of time between MW2 and this for me to enjoy both.

That's what happens to PC gamers. They always get screwed. Turning my back on the PC was the best decision I've ever made.

I noticed that too... the gun seems very far to the right or something, it's a little disorienting.

Still looks like good fun though.

I wasn't planning to get MW2, even before I heard about the decision to cut support for dedicated servers. Knowing that now, and how screwed us Aussies will be with matchmaking just makes me feel that much more justified in my decision.

Expectable. Bad Company is better in multiplayer because DICE people have much,much more experience with it than IW.

I'm tired of ranting about IW having fucked us PC users over, I'm just pushing MW2 to the back of the shelf right now; definitely not buying it. BC2 looks really promising actually, might look into it and spent my game money on it, depends. At any rate, fuck MW2

Probably... I have BF1942 Collectors Edition or whatever it was, but never really played it much, but this thing looks awesome... Depending on how much money and time I have when it comes out, I might buy it...

PC gamers don't need MW2. We have Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2, shattered horizons and this!

I played the demo of BF:Bad Company and was not impressed since it takes like 4-5 seconds to stab myself in the chest to heal and all the walls were swiss cheese in like 5 seconds while I tried to get cover.

What is with all the Modern Warfare 2 hate? It could be another WWII shooter...Reality sucks?

Battlefield is a different kind of shooter. It's more vehicle and tactics based, whereas the CoD series is a very twitch type of shooter.

Also, all this Modern Warfare boycott business is funny. It'll still be more popular than Christianity and will sell more copies than an automatic blowjob machine.

Yes, I read every post. And yes, you are a braindead fuckskulls for buying MW2. I for one never had any plans whatsoever to buy MW2 even before the upcoming price hyke to $90 USD. I doubt I'll get BF: BC2 either but only because a crippling lack of interest in the entire FPS genre.

Braindead fuckskulls, a little harsh, no? After all, it isn't $90 USD everywhere, and it seems like a lot of people in the places where the price was hiked (UK I believe?) aren't even getting it right away, and will wait for the price to drop.

Also, I got Bad Company, which is a fun game in multi-player. Unfortunately, MW surpasses it in single-player by a lot, but the multi-player is very fun. I imagine Bad Company 2 will be even better.
