I'm curious... What's the best deal you've ever got in gaming? For me it happened today... I bought an arcade 360 for $200 and got a $100 walmart giftcard with my purchase which I sold to my aunt for cash... So $100 for a $200 new system...

Best deal in gaming...I'd say...when GTA: San Andreas came out I asked my mum to go into town and buy it whilst I was at school. We did a deal at one of my local game shops where to trade in several PS2 games and got it for about £7 (roughly $11.50) but we also had a bunch of money-off vouchers so I ended up getting it for about 50p (roughly 83 cents).

Zee Orange Box. For standard price - mind you - but all components are so awesome it's worth every penny.

And still is horrendously underpriced.

Is that where they both come in the same case? I bought those two when I got my Xbox cos it got me a free controller with it.

I think mine was the Orange Box for 25 Canadian dollars seeing as I had none of games it included I got 5 games for 5 bucks.

A PS2, Devil May Cry 3, the entire Jak series, and the entire Ratchet and Clank series for $30.

I got the C&C 3 expansion pack for 7 kroner (norwegian currency), that's slightly less than 1 euro. Haven't played it much though...

SSX Tricky for 10 SEK ( little more than 1 dollar).

I got all of the Fallout 3 DLC for free, because when I came in to get my waranty (the disc had pooped out), they gave me the Game of the Year Edition instead.

I also got Banjo: Nuts & Bolts for five dollars, and Mass Effect for ten.

Broke 360 arcade for a new 360 arcade.

Month later......... RROD! So I took it back to Bestbuy with the warranty when I got there the lady at the Customer Service counter told me that they did not have any 360 arcades left, so I asked could I get something else instead. She couldn't get the manager or the department supervisor so she decided that it would be best to offer me a new PS3 for my RROD 360 arcade. I don't know how that worked or what happen or what kind of warranty I had but I got a 100% free PS3 that day.

Good deal in my opinion but in all honesty I hope I didn't get her into trouble or anything, she really tried to help me.

TF2 for 2.50? That had to be one of the better deals of recent memory.

as temting as it is to say Viewtiful Joe for like $3, I traded it in after like two days with it, so I'll have to go with either hulk: ultimate destruction from a close-out sale which was about $8, or the Orange Box for $20 if I had bought it a little earlier.

I found a copy of ICO for 5$. Thats an insane deal if you look at how much it usually goes for online.

I got 2x GTS250's for $130 after rebates a while back. newer version of the Nvidia 9800GTX+

Baldur's Gate 4 in 1 Boxset for £15.

I realise a lot of the other deals mentioned have been much, much cheaper than that, but let's put things in perspective here. For £15 I got:

Baldur's Gate.
Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast.
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn.
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal.

All taken together, that adds up to somewhere in the region of 500 hours of gameplay.

Beat that.

Clerk accidentally keyed in £2.49 instead of £24.99 for Gran Turismo 4. I kept schtum and left swiftly.

I think the best deal I've gotten was Dark Sector. I got it for about $12 when it was on offer. Original price (which it jumped back to not much later) was $100. Second best deal would probably be Prey for $7.

Not for a game, but game related. Before I got fired from Best Buy, we got anything in the store for 10% above cost. As you may know, computer cables are ridiculously marked up. Cables that retail for $30 I was getting for $1.50.

Well, I got the newly released Radeon 5770 for 110 Great Britain Pounds ^^
