So so beat the main story to Borderlands(ps3), and was wondering on people's reactions.

1) I was happy when Commander Steele died but was hopping for some type of battle with her so I could kill her myself.
2) I was unhappy about not getting into the vault. Like seriously I play the entire game and I don't get into the vault.

The game was fun but the ending was a huge let down. How does everybody else feel about it?

I liked the ending.

You're trying to find a vault. That's your entire goal in the game. The moment you reach that vault you kill some inter-galactic evil God but you can't enter the damn vault and get the goodies. Now how stupid is that?

Either there's a sequel or GearBox was like, hey, you know how that game was fun? Yeah, well here's the ending! *gets into a helicopter and flies away while we are yelling at our Televisions because of the ending*

Makes sense that you can't get in, as the vault contained a giant vagina-faced-cthulu, but i thought i'd at LEAST get some good stuff from killing it.

Also, that it'd be more of a challenge.

Ya i really didn't understand the ending at all. The entire fucking point to the game was to get all the sweet loot inside the vault and then we never see the inside of it? It felt really cheap to me. I expected at least a legendary weapon or two...

Use spoiler modifiers >.<

I liked it because it was so unexpected, you never get that in games anymore, normally everyone lives happily ever after and in this case technically you did just not as richly.

REALLY? I'm amazed noone else saw it coming.

Yeah, I were kind of dissapointed at the ending... I was hoping for at least one worthwhile item at the end. The boss wasn't much of a challenge either...

Slightly dissapointing. But I've seen worse.
I would have liked some nice shiny loot for my troubles (more so after the game deleted itself half way through), but I didn't really expect that we'd actually get in the vault or get any of the stuff inside.

I would have liked the characters to have been expanded on a little bit more at the end. (Unless I missed something there)

When the big monster blob exits the vault i was like Really they did that, it was lame and so cliche. And what the door only opens for 200 years and then only stays open for like 5 minutes. The ending felt as if the game dev got tired of working and wrapped up the game ASAP.

In all fairness, the end let's you punch out the equivilent of Cthulhu (I come from the DOOM tradition of gamers where satisfaction can in fact be had by kicking the arse of some eldritch abomination) so I was pretty damn pleased with the ending.

it doesnt even move, YOU CAN HIDE BEHIND ITS OWN TENTACLES!
overall though, the game was not a MW-esque story-based one, just a RPS, and it works

i know, ap art from uprgades, all the characters just merge into an arm that shoots
i would have liked a bit of back story
