A fairly random question I must admit.

Nope, I never liked it. I can't remember why, however. I think I just found it annoying.

Fo' shizzle my nizzle!
Shit acting is shit but somehow just makes it awesome!

Edit: Also the fillers annoyed the shit out of me comstantly.

DBZ Is the most kick-ass show ever

Just look at my avatar...

You know, it occasionally had a goofy charm, but the show was mostly a mixture of drawn-out action scenes and terribly formulaic plot. Personally, I liked Dragonball's childish, kung-fu fantasy setting better than DBZ's "mature", power-fantasy sci-fi.

Well, it was one of the earliest animes I've watched, and I think it set some trends rolling, good or bad. These include the following:
1) just when the hero is beat up, he gets a second wind, powers up, and ends up stronger than his enemy.
2) speed is denoted by nobody seeing the person move.
3) the enemy has at least one more powerful form than the one he/she's in.
4) explosions and massive destruction of land and property.

It is goofy, yes, and every other story arc is a rehash of the first, but if you watched this when you were young, before you knew any better, chances are you were the kid arguing with his friends whether vegeto can beat gogeta in a brawlfest. It is like a B movie that you felt good watching when you were young because everything impressed you back then.

i love it. both the anime and the books. i only lack book 3, which i have read, but besides 3 i got them all lying around in my closet.

I dont see how you cant love it tbh.

its just so awesome

I watched it a few times back when it was on toonami, but I never got into it because it would be 5 episodes of two guys yelling at each other, powering up, leading up to a 10 minute fight.

I AM PICOLLO!

dbz is still good, but if you mention the GT series im going to have to kill you
its nothin personal, just honour an duty

I never really got into it when I was younger, but now i've decided to give it a chance and am watching Dragonball Kai (which is just the original series re-done and stuff with no fillers and better pacing to follow the manga more closely) and i'm really enjoying it.

I love dragon ball Z as a kid it was the one thing i looked forward to after school and even now i like playing there games as silly as they are there is still a nice feeling of going super saiyan.

Nope, dont watch much cartoons.

I loved it as a kid. Because of DBZ i learned Lithuanian language (they showed it on Lithuanian TV channel). I don't care about much now, but i would like to see some of the best series right now.

Fuck yes! Dragon Ball Z is the shit, to put it nicely. I grew up on that show when I was younger. I remember waking up early before school to watch it in the morning and then talking about it at school with friends. Such an awesome show.

Lol <3 That avatar =P
And oh yeah OT. I love DragonballZ

Dragonball Z was awesome, although I admit I did like Dragon Ball slightly more, I think. Still, I'm getting into Dragon Ball Kai now, and it's still amazing.

That would have been my answer.

Nope, never liked it, although the 9000 meme was great now and then.

IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAND!!!111!einz!!11!!1

Dragonball Z was shit.

Regular Dragonball is where it's at.

The manga was okay, but the anime was much worse.

I think everybody did at some point. Assuming the US series started around the time they were 8-10. Which was the case for me. Now I can see that it's pretty much at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to anime.

no no no and no.

DBZ is cool. I remember those early mornings watching Cheez TV before school.

Yes, well upto Freeza. After that it was clear Toriyama didn't want to continue but the manga company wanted more money. Super Saiyajin 2 and 3? ugh...

I loved the anime when I was younger, then I was in Heaven when they started releasing the manga in Poland. But because I had to go on vacations after the first Frieza chapter, I lost the track and didn't bother buying.

But Dragon Ball Kai is even better. Looks nicer, fights are a LOT shorter. Hell, they were over with Raditz so fast, I was really surprised.

It was good until I got older, it jumped around too much, one fight between two people would last 3-8 episodes because it kept showing other people in other places.

I lost faith in it when I saw one of the episodes involving the spirit bomb.

"Previously on Dragonball Z" - Goku "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
"Next time on Dragonball Z" - Goku "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!"

You see my point?

I used to love it when I was like 14 years old, but I got over it.

sums it up pretty nicely. Thanks dudes for saving me the effort of writing it myself :D

Liked it when I was younger, but I just lost interest as I grew into my teens. If I go back and watch it now, I'll probably get a few giggles from it.

I love DBZ

Loved it and never missed an episode when it was being shown on TV

Granted there were some dull bits (Garlic Jr, the end of the Buu saga and the fact that they had just introduced Trunks then they went back to episode 1 to give the manga more time)

It had it's up's and down's but I enjoyed it.

i've never watched it and whenever i see it on tv or a game of it become totally confused :P

It's good it focuses on what it is....

buff dudes screaming and beating the shit outta each other.

I some times dont like anime stray away from what it is (ie Naruto)
