has anyone finished Modern Warfare 2 on veteran? My cousin and I have both done it and thought it was rather easy compared to past cod's. What are your thoughts on the campaign and the difficulty of it?

I'm most of the way through on Veteran difficulty.
sooo much easier than certain parts of CoD 2 and WaW.

Veteran was so much easier than the others.

The only trouble i had was if i got to a checkpoint and started in a difficult spot, which meant that if i died i started off in a terrible spot again.

The simple removal of "holyfuckingnadespam" made it exponentially easier.

And the removal of ferris wheels!

Also, anyone know how to access the steam achievements tied to MW2? I keep receiving them but I don't know how to check what I have/don't have :(

i have done it on the PC version and thought it was fairly easy for a seasond gamer but quite challenging for a casual gamer (my buddy....Wii owner)

I've not finished it yet on veteran but a, about 3 quarters of the way through and am finding it very easy, I completed 3 of the levels without dying once, so it's defiantly easier than the last one.

As mentioned the removal of grenade rain is the reason its easier, althoughthats not to say there arent hard parts, the mission in the sub base with he time limit stopped me, been playing online since I got to it. I like the change of balance in the game, its posible o get through just on skill now, not only by memorising enemy spawns. spec ops is where the challenge is, juggernauts anyone?

The removal of grenade spam and infinite respawn did make it easier and cheapen the experience. Veteran should be something with weight behind, something that only real gamers who are willing to grit their teeth and go through near impossible situations should be able to beat. Now you can do by hiding in a box for most of the game while you're fellow squad mates finish it for you.

I've been playin' through it. I've only beaten the first four levels and endgame so far though, but I can barely find a difference between veteran and hardened.

Yeah it's piss easy on veteran, Spec Ops is where the diffuculty is now.

OT: Its the only COD ive beaten on veteran (Made it upto level 6 on WaW, but seriously fuck that game). The hard parts where the Sub Base (2 minutes to get past THAT many guards, a chopper and an APC? Fuck You!)Getting to the Evac Zone on Loose Ends (Seriously a platoon firing at the back and then another one at the front? Fuck You More!) and the last part of the Oil Rig with the smoke screen(They didnt even have Thermal Fucking Scopes! FUCK YOU AGAIN!)
After that it was easy. Spec Ops is a Cock Fiend though, 14 starts left...

I played through first time on Veteran, but couldn't get past "Loose Ends" so I continued on regular after that.

I got the full 1000gamerscore on it yesterday however. I did do it alot quicker on veteran than CoD4, but I might just be more experienced since then.
