The year is almost over, and there have been many high profile releases. Out of the games that have come out so far, who do you think should win game of the year?

My vote is between assassins creed II and Borderlands. I haven't beat AC2 yet, but I'm having alot of fun playing it, and Borderlands is amazing, especially for LAN party's.

Hmm that's a toughy. So many good ones. I don't think I can pick just one XD
But did Castle Crashers come out this year or last year, as that's going to be high on my list

well chances are its going to end up being mw2 for some stupid reason (Im biased) butId like it to be dragon age or... hmmm what other really good game have I gotten this year... oh yeah l4d2 I suppose

Batman:AA clearly xD

Dragon Age for best RPG, because it basically is the only High Profile one that isn't a JRPG xD

To be honest, I'd probably say Assassin's Creed 2, because not only am I enjoying it a lot, but I really appreciate the absolutely colossal amount of effort and production value that went into that game. I also like the franchise's concept/story. If anything, it's a creative/original idea and it feels very fresh compared to other stuff we've seen in the past years.

Although this is biased because I've never played many of the other games that came out this year.

AC2, DA:O, Prototype/iNfamous MW2 and L4D2 strictly for the hype they recieved

Its not about who will win, everybody knows thats gonna be MW2, its about there personal opinion.

If we go by metacritic scores, then Uncharted 2 and Street Fighter IV should perhaps be considered most worthy. And even though I thoroughly enjoyed those games, neither would be my top pick. Not that Cryostasis would be my pick either.

Uncharted 2 for me without a doubt in my mind. Very easy contest.

Modern Warfare 2. I don't care if you agree or not, it's my personal opinion.

im gonna say Uncharted 2, but i still have not played Dragon Age. I think alot of reviewers will say Uncharted 2 as well, got alot of perfect scores.

My only 2009 game is MoWa 2, so I'm just going with that.

We all know it's going to be MW2, but the RPG nerd in me seriously holds out for Dragon Age: Origins, as it's one of those games I can't take out of my console for longer than 20 minutes or so before wanting to delve right back into Ferelden.

I've played some good games this year but I'm going to definitely give it to Assassin's Creed 2. I rented it expecting to play through it but I liked it so much that I bought it even though I was almost done with the story. I felt like it was just so good that I ought to own it.

The production value and the effort that clearly went into the game is just impressive. Plus there's just so much to do and find!

Assassin's Creed 2 or Dragon Age: Origins will be GOTY if the gaming industry and gaming society has any justice in it.

My personal Game of the Year is definitely Dragon Age: Origins. I'm having multiple orgasms playing it. Thought I'd let you know. When I got it, I spent four days playing it for 12 hours a day, until I finished it. After I had finished, I ate some food, had a smoke, and rolled a new character.

I think a lot of magazines will give MW2 the glory.

Speaking of Cryostasis, I've got that installed on the laptop but haven't played it yet. It pretty good? Seemed like it would be.

As for my game of the year man I can never say. I don't even know what I played the first part of the year.

It's a draw between inFAMOUS and Batman Akrham Asylum with Uncharted 2 and MW2 as runners up.

MW2 just didn't do it, Borderlands was way too easy even in co-op. Need to buy AC2 but i'm not that into single player games.

L4D2 has given the most fun in LAN play wish there were less people online with it as it lags bad due to traffic.

This is a tough one, But Modern Warfare 2 so far. Excellent campaign and excellent online.

Nothing, nothing can even compare to the Campaign and multiplayer that that game has. Most games have one or the other, but this game has both, and they are both done better than every other game out there.

No you've got it all wrong, the games are completely different, the only thing they kept from the old game is the way you move around the city, even the assassinations are completely different.

Assassin's Creed (being able to play it in French has been so sweet so far, plus the game has been really fun too).

I haven't played Uncharted 2, but from what I've read/heard from friends it should probably be on that list.

I still think Batman AA should win it.
