Well for me it was, make the strangest and ugliest son of a bitch in the character creation. Then brief suprise at a blacked out sex scene. I did enjoy Mass Effect though, and apparently DA:O is brilliant.
Go and buy Mass Effect. EDIT: Oh and you talk. You talk a lot.
i think mass effect is better than DA:O
Third Person Shooter Role Playing Game is the best way to describe it. Setting is 'Space Opera'. It's more Bioware. It's good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The 'Karma' meter isn't so much a Good Vs. Evil as 'Good Cop' Vs. 'Ruthless Cop'. You're still doing good even if you are a bit of a dick along the way.
Well there's these ancient giant metal fairground teddy bear-grabbing claws that enjoy killing the entire universe, and as usual people with American accents talk a lot, shoot stuff and save the day. This may be a slightly abridged version.
Mass Effect: Guns, cover, abilities to throw people/debuff, customization, and talents.
If you want a very brief summary; Somewhat clunky gunplay, but this is improved with the powers wheel for biotic/tech using characters. Quite a bit of talking, and also quite a bit of action. While it can be frustrating to explore a new planet, this is entirely optional. The conversation wheels are good, as are the Paragon/Renegade choices and the effect they have on what type of person your character is. I, personally, loved this game despite its few flaws.
you know, wikipedia is a good resource for these things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_effect and hey, theres even a section titled "Plot". wow, thats convenient.
Well pc or xbox? TL;Dr | |
Space marine. Marine hero...till sequal marine will be made bad guy. Lather rinse repeat.
lots o'talkin lots o'walkin lots o'killin its an epic game and has a great story.
You forgot: Aliens with American accents good.
When I played it--I thought it was going to be a shooter--but there was a lot of tedious dialog--too much dialog. I got bored and stopped playing. And the vehicle section--the unending frustration.
American Accent? You know, I'm in the US...we have so many what would be the norm? But I digress. Now New yorkers...they got accents but you try and pretend to pull one off they notice and they will beat you down. English speaking Aliens good?
Hey, not all the aliens are bad. Just the ones that don't agree to sign up to Commander Shepard's Galactic Genocide Campaign as soon as they meet him.
If you like Dragon Age: Origins than you will like this game. The combat is more gun focused, obviously, but it still plays pretty well and the story is the same on all difficulties so if you do have trouble than you can just take it down to easy.
It's basically a crappy version of the gears of war with a deep story and RPG elements.
Play it... I swear thought the way those info terminals would spew out talking.... I swear to god after like 5 minutes of text of leading up to the secret of the universe, right before it told me the anwser it was gonna Rick Roll me.
Indeed... English speaking aliens is a better description. Though any 'neutral' accent sounds foreign to a foreign national. For example... I don't have a strong colloquial accent from my area but you would know I'm Irish from listening to me. Just not which part of the country. So although many Americans have a neutral accent relative to the folks in the south or New Yowak, they would probably sound distinctly American to my ears!
I liked the original Mass Effect and plan on buying the second (when the price goes down). The story is far better than the gameplay (in my opinion), but it's still a good game combat-wise. Oh, and...
Not a plot summary. I mean like gameplay and all that jazz.
I liked Dragon Age: Origins, will I like this game? Do you talk more then you kill things? What's the setting like?
Thanks for the info you may/may not give me. :D
