How did you handle Notoriety in Assassins Creed 2?

Everything I did was completely quiet. I had no need to rectify it.		15.4% (4)
Lower it? Hell no! I want to fight all those guards.		11.5% (3)
I had to bribe the occaisonal herald, you know. Double kills and Gunshots.		11.5% (3)
I removed it when I got notorious, but I couldn't be bothered fetching a poster every time I acted.		23.1% (6)
With air leaps, double kills, double air kills, and, you know, fighting, I had a hard time keeping up.		7.7% (2)
I'd wait until those corrupt officials came out, and slip 'em the old "hidden blade" if you catch my drift.		23.1% (6)

I've had the game for a while now, and I wondered how people handled Notoriety.
I'm on my first play through, and I've yet to use anything but the hidden blades (and variants) and my bare hands to dispatch targets.

For those of you with different tastes, how did you react to the notoriety system?

I would often let it slip by me if I wasn't being careful, resulting in an annoying bout of notoriety. I just enjoyed fighting in that game too much, so I had to keep an eye out for anything to reduce my continuously building notoriety at all times.

I made it a point to kill as many guards as I possibly could. Fuck discrepancy, I'm gonna kill as many I can with my bare hands.

I usually did things quietly but i would slip someone a note if it got too high

If it got to bad I just tore down some posters or bribed a herald.

I would just tear down any near by posters on my way to a mission, and after one or two I'd be fine. On rare ocassions,(like missions ending up as total blood bathes) I'd bribe a harold, tear down a poster and be done.

Anyway, I do that, so no one has to die, and I don't have to spend my hard earned cash.

After using the AFK trick and reinvesting into the Villa, i had deep pockets so i'd just bribe a herald.

Meh, i OCD so it would bug we when it was even 10% so i would grab a nearby poster and save money, never really found many officals to off with a well-placed blade but i use to not waste money on the hearlds and i would use that saved money to upgrade my villia for some of those o'so luish achivements i really love

I just go crazy, start large fights in the streets, and when I get bored with constant fighting I go bribe some heralds.

The process then starts again

I pretty much ran around the city and killed everything (including some unfortunate civilians who didn't know how to MOVE, BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY).

Venice has an unlimited supply of guards, apparently. .-.

I'm moving sneakily past guards on rooftops and I'll tear down posters when my notoriety gets too high.

I mostly managed to avoid being noticed, but I've torn down more than a few posters.
