Tunnels: Legion | |
Actually lemme make it cleared steps to end game with everyone surviving For team setup i went with Just follow these steps and your crew will survive
Now ima replay it with renegade see how that works for me lol
awww you guys make me into an awful guy =( i usually play paragon i had nearly max for it. i put tali in the vent..poor thing got shot in tha face later.... dlc guy got smashed.. i hated him so much....
Grunt died due to a misunderstanding on my part, so I re-loaded an earlier save and changed it. My everyone-wins yayay happy team was.. Tunnels: Legion With me most of the time was my trusted team of Jack and Miranda.. Off topic: First playthrough - Paragon Vanguard (Charge is terrible on higher difficulties, unless you're fighting.. umm.. no. It's bad.) Edit: Why the hell did I TYPE so much. D:
Tunnels: Mordin --- KIA I was expecting Mordin to day, I only picked him because I considered him a worthy sacrifice (come on, Salarians don't live that long, and he was old) Miranda's death really surprised me, it happened after all the fighting was done, when the final boss dies and shit starts exploding, she died from some rubble falling on her or some shit. On a side note, did anyone else thing the end game boss was possibly the stupidest thing they could have chosen to do? A Human shaped Reaper? WTF is the point? Is it even a ship? A massive human shaped flying ship? How does that make any sense? WTF Bioware. Playing through age now, forced myself to play as a male the first time, because I've always coinsidered that to be how the story was intended, but the woman is a much better voice actor, so looking forward to that (And for some 1 on 1 time with kelly). The ending also kind of annoyed me, It's a Renegade move to keep intact a station full of tech that might prevent the extinction of all civilization in the Galaxy? My character was almost pure Paragon except for that, and I fail to see the logic there. Okay, so giving the Illusive Man exclusive access to super tech might not be the best call, but then where's the option to flip him off and turn it over to the Alliance? Or the Council? Bah. My women (Sentinel) is going to carry on with her Renegade ways from ME1, so time to have some fun.
I used as follows Everyone was loyal except Zaheed as crew was abducted during his mission Overall lost Thane,Zaheed, and Jack Purchased all ship upgrades (armor, shields, and guns) and followed paragon path for most of game
All upgrades. Everyone loyal but Miranda (was loyal, but didn't like me siding with Jack when it came to the morality of her treatment by Cerberus, not enough paragon or renegade score to talk her out of her funk) Garrus was first specialist, in the tunnel. Damn he was stupid when he was standing right in the middle of the closing doors once he got out. Deserved to get shot, because he should have known better than to stay out in the open. The only cure for stupidity is a bullet to the head. Still, he will be missed. Second death: Samara. Died bleeding on my arms after leading the second team. Good thing too, knights with a mission from above do not good leaders make and are nothing but trouble. She might have turned on me the moment her Code allowed for it (all that jazz about killing any unlawful individuals and all that jazz). Jack, as the όber-biotic she was designed to be held the field up just fine, her conviction and belief to my cause giving her the final push to survive the strain and even thrive under it. She will be a great asset to me in the future: doesn't care about morals, is extremely powerful and sees me as something akin to a big sis she never had. As long as I stay opposed to Cerberus and look out for her, she will never turn on me. Jacob (my fem-Shepard lover) led the rescued crew (what was left of them anyways) back to the Normandy. Could not let him die, with insider information and utter loyalty mixed with love he is too important for my plans to thwart the Cerberus in the future. Doesn't have much of a brain in his head, but he's a nice distraction and one of the few people left in the galaxy competent enough to watch my six. Miranda, the whiny brainwashed spy she was got to lead the rear-guard team on their heroic last stand. As per With everyone else loyal to me and Jack and Thane standing beside me, I had no reasons of self-preservation to not blow up the station. Which I did with a smile on my face. When the Me and my loyal crew in our most advanced and upgraded spaceship in Citadel Space will enjoy watching you crash and burn. So long, sucker. Now, I'll need to find a way to talk that genius Salarian into curing Thane. My personal assassin will have the work cut out for him in the future and I can't allow him to die within a few years from something as mundane as a disease, not when I have the one who practically created the current form of Genophage on my team. Grunt, in his utter predictability and simplicity will not care one way or another what happens to his people. The only possible problem I foresee is EDI, but perhaps Legion and I can come to an agreement...
Fully upp'ed Normandy V2, went straight after them, Legion, Thane and Tali died for me. Did all the loyalty missions, but Tali lost loyalty after I let Legion send data to the Geth Loyals, and Jack lost loyalty after I sided with Miranda after blowing up the old facility. Tunnels: Legion (Loyal, died) Sheppard Survived, saved the station, but cut off the Illusive man later, pissing him off somewhat.
My Normandy was armed and protected up to the tits so no-one died there. Tunnels: Legion - Survived Squad Leader: Garrus - Survived Escort - Zaheed - Dead and i didnt give a shit he was a useless character and his loyalty mission was bollocks. Why was he the only one that you HAD to be a renegade to complete? I chose him cos i thought id have to pick him at some point, least he died away from my give-a-crap radar. Bubble: Samara - Survived, i figured she would Hold the Line: Grunt - dead, the bastards he was awesome! How can a pure krogan die? Final fight: Miranda & Legion - Survived BOOYAA! Mordin died somehow as well but i have no idea when, but i didnt care either. Total K/D - 3 dead, 1 of those i liked.
No one died, because I'm awesome that way.
Nope, Shepard can only die if every other member of your team dies.
Just beat the game and here's how it happened: Vent/Tech:Tali (survived) Only member of the Normandy crew to survive was Dr. Chakwas (didn't go right after them because I needed the minerals & such to fully upgrade the squad, Normandy & weapons), destroyed the whole collector base and told the Illusive Man where to shove it. (Miranda did as well. I started to cheer for here then and there.) Stayed loyal to Kaidan, and after I save the galaxy again, I find that all my fish have died. *sigh* Guess I can't do everything.
Tunnel/Vent thing - Jacob - KIA During the first segment, I had Morbin and Legion with me. 2nd I had Morbin and Thane. 3rd (final) Morbin and Garrus. I kept the station intact.
Tunnels: Legion First Fire Team: Miranda Escort crew back to Normandy: Mordin Swarm Protection: Samara Second Fire Team: Garrus I had Mordin and Jack at the first section, Miranda and Tali during the swarms, then Miranda and Jacob at the final battle.
Fully upgraded the ship, everyone was loyal, and everyone survived :D Tunnels: Legion - he can hack anything First fire team leader: Miranda - she lead the team that rebuilt me, so I figured she knew what she was doing. Escorting Normandy Crew: Mordin - he was a doctor, seemed like the best choice to escort a crew that just woke up from stasis. Second fire team leader: Miranda - she did well the first time with no one dying, why change it. Holding the Line: Zaeed, Grunt, Samara, Jack, Jacob, Miranda, Garrus, Legion Final fight - Tali and Thane (my favorite characters) My Shepard survived. I played as a Paragon Soldier. Oh, and all the Normandy Crew survived.
Fully upgraded ship and a completely loyal crew Tunnels - Tali Everyone survived... yay!
I'm seeing a few of the posts here and thinking what the hell xD Either way, i made it through with everyone intact. Went through the suicide mission the second everyone was abducted Tunnels: Tali (Loyal, romanced) Reasonings: Tali is a bloody genius prodigy tech expert, and i slept with her. Overall, she'll want more, so she'll try to survive and has the know-how to do so Garrus: the whole 10 person squad story if you recall, he knows how to lead and is trustworthy. Jack didn't want to follow Miranda, so really the only viable option. Same judgment for the 2nd leader. Jacob: He's a people person, need i say more? Samara: 1000 years of biotics experience, better than an unstable psycho and a test tube baby. (no offence to either, love em) Thane and Mordin: The warp attack works wonders on barriers, while mordin can torch anything in a shield. Totally lethal against anything collector, not to mention both can bring very high damage with their respective skills. Mordin could one-hit the harbinger once his barrier was down. My Shepherd was a perfect paragon with enough points to talk jack/miranda and legion/tali out of their squabbles. I had a fully upgraded ship as well as decent equipment. I was an infiltrator with the Widow Anti-Material rifle as well. Needless to say, everything but my team died. ^^ Destroyed the collector base.
Fully upgraded ship, all loyalty missions done, all squad members acquired. I didn't immediately go through the Omega 4 Relay which resulted in me not rescuing the entire crew, mainly Kelly. I got Dr. Chakwas and a few others. In the end I blew up the whole base instead of salvaging it. I figured the Reapers would figure out a way to use it if it was kept intact.
I'd think Zaeed would be risky. He doesn't genuinely care about the crew, as such i chose Jacob. He kicks ass, and he cares. For the most part though, bout what i did ^^
I finished all the loyalty missions before going after my crewmates, so Kelly got melted. :( Tunnels - Legion Only Jack died defending the doorway, even though I did her loyalty mission she became disloyal after a fight with Miranda (that I couldn't resolve despite having 90% freaking paragon) Told the Illusive Man to go screw himself. Messing with reaper technology is just asking for it to be reactivated and bring about the galactic apocalypse.
I just beat the game again. Everyone was loyal however even though I had almost 100% paragon I was unable to convince Jack and Miranda to stop fighting. Pissed off Jack and lost her loyalty. I was able to convince Tali and Legion though which is weird. Despite this Jack and everyone else still survived in the end. I never gave Jack an important role to fill, which is probably why she lived.
I'm also quite annoyed that the team disagreed with me saving the base, it was a completely logical step in a war like that, if all life can be killed by the technology can be saved, why not? Why couldn't I just choose to give the scans to the Alliance or Council rather then Cerberus? Also, I didn't like working for Cerberus, I missed working for the council and reporting into them, being a Spectre and stuff. Anyway, everyone lived for me, Legion went tunnels, bother Fire Teams were lead by garrus, I had Tali with me the whole time, and swapped between Mordin and then Garrus for the final fight and Jack protected me from the swarm. I told the crew they were on their own and Chakwis and everyone died(I was full renegade anyway).
So its bad to keep the tech? That sucks since it seemed like it would help you fight the reapers. (I'm just sad since the Illusive man was so kewl)
Actually, if you looked on Iios you'll notice that Protheans have cuttlefish heads and so do Reapers. The Collecters were harvesting humans to make a Human-Reaper Thing, sdo my guess is they harvest the species they want to create more Reapers and some/other species are "Repurposed" AKA Collecrs being Protheans and Keepers being some alien species that was "Repurposed".
I got loyalty with all my team mates and all ship upgrades (so nobody died getting to the station). I had legion go through the vents to disable the doors. Garrus led the other team whilst Miranda, Jacob and I shot up the station. We all make it to a door and close it off. We find the crew and I send Jacob to escort them back (he and the crew make it). I had Garrus hold the line with the rest of the team while me, Miranda, Tali and Samara (whom held up the shield) make it through the swarms. We encounter the human-reaper thing and we destroy it. I then tell the Illusive Man to fuck off and I blow up the station. Everyone makes it out alive.
I think the idea is to choose characters that are good for their roles. I only lost Jacob, because I put him in the tunnels. I should have heeded the warning when Miranda said to send a tech expert, but I hadn't really caught on and sent Jacob because he volunteered, and awesome as he was, I was less connected to him than any of the other characters. Not to say I wasn't sad when he died. I was going to go back and redo it, but I'll just save it for my second playthrough.
My Legion died in the tunnels, he was Loyal also D:
Tunnels: Legion First Fire Team: Zaeed Escort crew back to Normandy: Jacob Swarm Protection: Samara Second Fire Team: Garrus I kept Grunt and Thane with me, they worked well in the Blur trailer, and even better in-game. But Legion died, and I almost cried, he was my absolute favorite.
You don't need to be renegade to gain Zaeed's loyalty, I am NEVER renegade and he is loyal to me, if you go against him and save the workers his nemesis gets away but he is loyal and cleary respects you! (just info for next time you play.... :-) )
Tunnels Tali. Alive. Also, after the final fight, my female Shepard slid down the falling platform and caught Grunt with one hand. Grunt! She has to be the universe's strongest human.
That's a actually a pretty good theory/explanation, although it doesn't do much to change the wtf factor of a giant human shaped spaceship.
Tunnels: Legio, figured a geth would be the best for Techy Team: Tali and Garrus with Miranda leading the way for the other Swarm: Jack, figured a hyped up Biotic would be better then most Second Team: Tali and Mordin, they both seemed the least likely to hold out seeing as they were techies. Boss Battle took a while, but nothin bad. Everyone makes it out alive and Tali has a mild Fever after sexing it up with me. . . . some crew died though because I accidentally pressed NO when I was going to the relay, even though I immediately went back and pressed YES. Poor Poor Kelly and Gabby, MEH about Rupert. Every time I walk over to the Galaxy map I expect someone to tell me I have Unread messages, I look over and sigh, same with going down to Engineering to my Tali, no more witty comments by the Scot Man. . . he just sits there sulking. . .
It's almost 6:30am and there is a great deal of text left unread, but we would just like to suggest this, RE: tunnels;

SPOILERS! LOOK AWAY IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED!
I had just beat ME2 last night, and everyone on my team survived and kicked some major collector ass in the process. Did anyone else have the same luck or did they lose some squad members or their own lives?
If you survived what was the combo you use when you were asked to choose team and scout leaders? Did you upgrade the Normandy to its fullest?
I had bought all the upgrades the Normandy could get, plus I didn't do any missions other than going to do the suicide mission after my crew was abducted by the collectors, which I hear can be very crucial if you want to save them.
For me it was this.
Tunnels: Legion
First Fire Team: Miranda
Escort crew back to Normandy: Jack
Swarm Protection: Samara
Second Fire Team: Garrus
I had Tali and Grunt with me the entire time.
Everyone in my team was loyal.
Also if you failed or people died please share what went wrong and what choices you think lead to failure and/or death.
So if anyone wants a flawless victory, that's what I did. Still I'm not sure if that would work every time. It could have just been luck.
