Hey everyone, it's me (well duh.. but still.) This LP has been doing really well to my surprise and I really, really appreciate everyone's feedback including the compliments!! (So thank you guys for that of course.) Just to show how grateful I am to you all, I came up with a new feature to do every time I post a new chapter. I call it the "Katawa Spotlight."

How it works is that at the end of every chapter, there are of course the usual questions being asked based on that LP post but after it comes the special feature... you get to directly ask any one of the characters a question and they will reply right back to you!

Everyone asks one question toward a character, and that character (me using my editing skills) will have that character answer you while being in character (well, for the most part.) So for example, say you ask Hanako a question.. asking, "What is your favorite movie?" (You can be far more creative or personal, but this is an example.) She shall reply back to you in the next LP when it's posted along with everyone else's question being answered. 2 people can ask the same character something too so it's not just one on one stuff you know?

If you have any questions about this, please do ask. Heck, right now since I am feeling up to it feel free to ask the Katawa characters something now and they'll reply back to you before I do the next chapter! How does that sound? :}

Ok, interesting new feature, I think I'll ask Hisao something.
So, Hisao... What the hell am I and why do I make you're decisions for you? I mean I'm obviously not looking out for you're interests since you died by the end of act one, but I mean are you crazy? Am I a voice in you're head? Why in the name of hell would you listen to me?

What made me fall in love with the game: I'd say the first time I started playing and got to meet a certain tea-addicted character.
Favorite girl: Lilly, hands down.
Questions: None really.

I'm hoping you do the entire game justice, and don't give up when you get to Shizune's route. It's... not so good.

That was pretty damn enjoyable, tho i do admit i liked the previous ones a tad bit more. It got a little bit too crazy when the Dragonborn helmet came to play. But still, it was good.
Tho i really do not have anything remotely funny and/or interesting to ask any of the characters, so, yeah. Sorry about that. Maybe something will pop to mind later.

A new chapter, some new image-slaughtering shenanigans. Heh, you're getting so good at this, I'm having a hard time discerning some of the text edits. Although this may be due to not having played the actual thing yet (I want to wrap up my current Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance -> Radiant Dawn playthrough before I get started on other games). Sometime this week...

As always, keep 'em coming.

Book club for sure, possibly some sort of cooking club. Do they have a fencing club? If so, then that.

I thought we were asking questions from Hisao's perspective. So I was more asking what she was doing in Hisao's room (refering to earlier in the LP). I feel a bit embarresed about that, I apologize for the confusion.

Oh, sorry if I didn't make it really clear how this rolls out. Pretty much I am the 'interviewer' while you guys ask the questions thus the characters directly interact with me (and you guys). Also, I can easily answer your question about why Hanako was in Hisao's room:

Though it was a joke, Hanako was being a perv. She was holding onto Hisao's undies and thinking about him, wanting to be close to him without him noticing (aka stalker). Hope that explains it!! ^_^

Spotted this LP, never really followed one before, but this one is pretty funny, so I thought I'd make my reader status known.

- What's your name (or preferred name?)
Name's Freddie, but I prefer Jedoro online.
- What made you fall in love with Katawa Shoujo?
It made me feel. Pretty much 24/7, my mood is quite literally "meh," so it was nice to have something actually make me feel different.
- Who's your favorite girl (or character) in the game?
I'm gonna have to go with Shizune. She and (or because of) Misha go out of their way to meet the new kid and try to make him feel at home, which would help me a lot because I'm not great at socializing. And of the two, I find Shizune's overall personality much more bearable than Misha's. Emi squeezes in between them to take second favorite, though.
- Do you have any questions about this Let's Play specifically?
Not really, no.

If I had Hisao's heart condition, I'd go with something involving running, whether it's track or cross-country. Something that works my heart is the best way to make it stronger so I can live a more normal life, and I wouldn't mind the whole dancing-with-Death aspect of it.

So basically, something that was made harder by whatever disability I had.

That was actually pretty good. I mean, better than I expected. From my experience, it's hard to write for other people's characters. Still, there's something that's a bit off, y'know? Something that makes it a bit obvious that the original authors didn't write it. You did a good job, though it wan't perfect. However, no one's asking for perfection and it was pretty damn entertaining, anyway.

Do you intend to do more? I hope you do. This one was a lot of fun to read, and they'll only get better over time. I'm just sorry that I have no questions to ask. :(

How awful would I be to just end it here after giving you guys that? No way would I pull off such a low move like that especially seeing how many are happy with what I did. Also please don't feel bad, even if no one has any questions to ask I still have Let's Play Chapters to do and they'll get better each time, plus some jokes are already planned out! :}

Yeah I do apologize if I didn't suit their characters 100% (that and spelling errors, grammar, and misuse of words. Darn my lack of picking those up fast enough.) but I shall keep trying and improving thanks to your guy's feedback! :} So thank you for the honesty.

Fair enough though you make it sound as though you actually are someone or something, other than the audience, which is intriguing and given that I finally managed to get to act three of one of the arcs I am a little anxious to find out find out what you represent to the story, though I'm guessing that question can only be answered by finishing more than one arc, anyway I only though of that question after seeing the only ending I've gotten and realizing how many important decisions Hisao made on his own, so it kinda made me curious to see what people thought the player represents represent, since you don't exactly control him and you don't seem to serve as his conscience either, whatever maybe I'm reading too much into it.

And Mr. Caramel, I would like to say that the amount of work that you're putting into this is a little concerning, I mean it's greatly appreciated but as Mr. TopazFusion said just take it more calmly, we really don't mind if they don't come out this often, so if you're feeling tired or it's eating up a lot of you're time just relax and take a break, I'm pretty sure you don't have to do it in one sitting, so just take it easy, after all it's meant to be in good fun, right? So just relax and take it easy, ok?

Friends romans cohorts anti-feminists fellow Escapist members, I am in despair.

I've made no secret of my original reason for trying this VN, that being Hanako, and that my first playthrough did not yield her unto me. Rather, it was Emi whom I romanced analysed ended up with, and to my surprise enjoyed that story greatly.

Subsequently I followed Shizune's path and then Hanako's. Tonight I finished Rin's, but something struck me; something I feel strangely about.
I'm not feeling them anymore.
Emi's story was heartwarming and moving, and actually caused me to re-evaluate my priorities. For a time, anyway; looking into it it didn't seem feasible to do it properly, and if you're not going to do it properly why do it at all, and then the cold weather kicked in but I digress.

I'm worried that, in my fear of making the wrong choices, I'm just glazing over what's actually happening just to see if it goes badly. And that's terrible.

But I can't be the only person who feels like that, can I?
People have been using terms like soul-crushing to describe Rin's path but I felt it was interesting yes, but... *shrugs*

Don't misunderstand me, I'm enjoying the stories greatly, but their impact seems to be massively lessened since the first time Emi barreled into my chest. And this worries me.

I don't expect this is a post that can really be replied to, but I felt I had to post it regardless.

I confess: A while back I was sceptical about Caramel Frappe being heralded The Escapist's 'Nicest Member'. I was concerned that it was merely a musing of his friends to up his forum ante. Now, now I know that I was wrong. Whomever counselled the results of that competition must of had been anonymous forum members, the same anonymous posters that have felt the warmth and dedication Ryan brings to this community. Even knowing nothing about him save for his work ethic and sense of humour, I feel like I am obligated to be on a first-name basis with him. Ryan spent one hour yesterday answering a question that took me one minute to type. I know I am in no position to authorize any changes, but I feel the need to say this: You get an Escapist promotion. Your new hours are 9 to 5, with an extended two hour lunch.
