Im just going to tell you one thing: DO NOT GET ELITE. Trust me. This is coming from a COD fan (although admittedly, I hate MW3). Its down 50% of the time and when its not, its still not functioning properly. The maps you get suck. Not worth it. I havent heard a single person say Elite is worth it, even the biggest COD fanboys are not renewing their subscriptions. If you get it, you will regret it. | |
You could do what other CoD fans are doing and go back to playing MW2 again. They are practically the same game anyway, only without the elite bullshit. | |

Haha well I did it anyway, but the features were an afterthought. I just play often and wanted to make sure I got all the maps without paying periodically like I did for MW2 and BO. I'll say now I actually like all the new maps and Overwatch is a nice change of pace for the usual. Though I will say this now since I experienced it that the features are not worth it and in my opinion should be considered an unreliable bonus to prepaying for your map packs. That said, now I have a new bone to pick. Like why isn't there an integrated playlist for those who have purchased Elite, it would definitely make people shut up a bit more. Seeing as they decided to execute Moshpit from the normal playlist (really, WTF were you guys thinking) and its Elite equivalent only has elite maps in rotation it leaves a somewhat bitter taste in the mouth of CODs hardcore fan base. These guys really need to give valve a call and ask them how they managed to make TF2 fans pay constantly for content without managing to piss them off. | |

I beg to differ. While I appreciate it and do enjoy a game from time to time its actually my least favorite mode just ahead of ffa and tdm. I prefer objective based game modes. Not to mention trying to play HC KC makes me want to rip my hair out. | |
Well, I find everything that has been done to CoD after WaW a slap to the face. I didn't even like WaW, but it was the last true CoD game. CoD 4 was the last good one. I'll wouldn't get Elite, the only reason I have mw3 is I got it for Christmas. | |

Meh... what ever happened to good FPS multiplayer modes, like the ones in Timeplitters!Flame Tag and Virus Tag were genuis, and Gladiatow was fun too! Add an extra layer of variety to the game! | |
Ya know what, we all have different things we like about the game. I think that's what makes the CoD series great. That there is so much content that you have to like at least 1 if not all their features. I'm just wondering what the future holds for the franchise. Obviously it will always be a shooter following in the steps of games like counter strike otherwise it just wouldn't be COD. But you really have to wonder what's next since they covered WW2, vietnam/cold war and WW3 already. Future Ops seems like a logical answer but that brings questionable technology into the series. | |
Elite is bad, im glad I didnt buy it as all my cousin does is rage at it for not working or just providing you with shit maps. Stick to camp confirmed, team campmatch or camp the flag. Much more "fun" to be had there I must admit. | |

Mw2 was the last cod game I payed religiously (tenth prestige in cod4, waw, and mw2), and IW got rid of regular mosh pit but kept hardcore mosh pit after one of their first multiplayer updates. WTF? I loved mosh pit. Perfect for when guys would party up and they cant agree on a specific gamemode. | |
It's quite a pleasant thing to realize that a game often stereo-typed as being "the bland go-to-easy-to-pick-up-and-play fps" actually has something for quite a variety of players and games that offer a different experience that will be perceived differently by the player. | |

Valve's "fan service" is releasing variants of Half-Life 2 with different textures and dialogue and covering it up with mod tools and retarded things like "Hat Trade". | |
I'm not saying it's a bad game mode, because it really isn't. I just don't like it, that's all. It doesn't fit my play style and on some maps it promotes too many shotgun rushers. And I don't think it belongs in Ground War. Bigger teams combined with really not very big maps and small FOV always seems to lead to games were doing well just depends on luck. | |
This is not true. They are very different games and MW2 is miles better. I cannot stress how much better it is. Its like no damn comparison. Even in an unpatched state MW2 is the better game. Put alteriw on top of that and you have a semi decent COD multiplayer title released after 2006... | |
I find what pisses me off the most is not the game itself but the playstyle of the retarded teammates I usually find myself getting stuck with. 9/10 I float to the top of the game list and end up having to use stealthier classes while the rest of my team runs blindly into a spot full of campers. I will say this about MW3, something I noticed yesterday. The range of weapons I'm good with is pretty limited when I compare it to Black Ops where I could use just about every gun and still dominate. | |
So I just turned on my Xbox expecting to make some kids across the country throw their controllers into their TVs and I find that the only game mode I played (mosh pit) is gone. I start searching the game mode list frantically only to find its alternative in the Elite playlist. Considering I haven't bought Elite yet (and was seriously debating whether I should or not) I was pretty pissed.
What ever happened to fan service like we get from companies like Valve. This was such a low blow by developers.
