Just like the title says, whats your PC case

This, but with more stickers.

Hey, as long as I get reddit and can run TF2 and Fallout, Im a happy sponge.

That's awesome

This-

My case, I got it on sale on Cyber Monday a few years ago. It's a monster of a case but I doubt I'll have to buy a new one until they next decide on a new form factor.

It used to be a $4,000 Notebook, but it kept burning up so they replaced it with a $4,000 desktop 3 years later. I basically got a complete upgrade for free.

Still... never buy Alienware.

Taking it from me, this goes for everything from computers, to girls, to cars.
Just because they are pretty doesn't mean they are a good thing to have.

Gotta judge on what is inside before you make a buy. Alienware likes to use manufactured parts. I literally had a part burning out once a month and flat out had my notebook replaced 3 times before I got that desktop.

Though the desktop is great why in the world would you buy a desktop?

See my avatar.

It looks meh, but that big ass fan at the front actually does a lot to help cooling. The inside of my PC is like the South Pole. I swear I opened it once and a penguin ran out.

Another pleasant side effect is that all that dust that gets swept in is immediately swept out again. I ordered this case a year ago and I havent had to clean my fans once since I got it. Not a spec of dust clogging anything up.

See, I could go for the dual monitor set up, but it would mean getting a pair of speakers that are as small as yours, which I cannot deal with. I need my massive, taller-than-my-screen speakers that can actually throw my monitor off the desk if I turn up the bass.

Zack Alklazaris:

Because desktop computers are more powerful, at the expense of portability. To me, there is no point of owning a laptop because I don't intend to travel anywhere and still require a computer.

Haha! Yeah, I know what you mean. Problem is - it's an apartment. Although I'm using the Logitech X540 5.1 system now, but for most of my gaming it's on my Sennheiser PC350 headset.

You don't understand, I love desktops, but I wouldn't never buy a factory built one. I would build it myself.

Believe me my old alienware notebook

Was powerful enough to run Bioshock with full graphics and Crysis on medium. (I got it in 06). It weighed 12lbs and had a battery life of 45 minutes lol. But as long as I could find an outlet I could play anything anywhere. Sitting in the college lunch area playing Half Life Episode 2 as everyone else is playing little physics flash games on their little macbooks was awesome.

My computer case.

Not flashy, but it gets the job done.

I've got 2. My older system for older games and programs that both me and my sister use is set in NZXT Tempest Evo

And my beast PC that only I have access to is in SilverStone Temjin TJ07b

Luckily my neighbors are bros. As long as I dont start listening to fartstep at 2 in the morning they are ok with load music.

As for headsets, man, I really do wish I could get used to them, but I cant. I just feel uncomfortable sitting at my desk with a headset on.

Mine is this:

It looks okay and its fan filters are actually a huge pain in the ass to clean, but it has fantastic airflow as far as I'm concerned.

I want to see more pics of your built PCs, not just empty cases!

Especially yours. I really like the TJ07B.

I have the same headset, I actually really like it. The microphone is suspiciously good as well.

Yeah I really love them, best sound I've ever heard in a headset personally. Are you running a sound card?

I don't think the high quality mic is that suspicious, these things are like $250 regular price lol.

EDIT: We have the same case as well - Antec 900 II

It it literally just a block box with some silver bits on it.
Also some of the front panels have been removed (Not purposefully though)

ha! same as mine but smaller, I leave the freaking thumb screws out on the filters and just pull them out when I need to clean them.

I like to keep is simple:

No LEDs or flashing lights, but it's got plenty of space and the fans are silent. I can leave it on 24-7 without noticing a sound.

Yeah, I have an older creative x-fi. I want a new motherboard with a third PCI Express slot so I could get an asus xonar which has a built in pre-amp. This should drive the cans a bit better, but they do sound really good.

IMO most headsets and headphones just have WAY too high a bass response. Sennheiser seems to understand in most of their headphones and ear buds that "good bass" isn't necessarily "more bass".

Sorry, but I don't like a lot of the cases in this thread as they look a bit tacky... especially with the cheap plastic, noisy fans and blazing LEDs. No offence intended, just my opinion.

Err, because they're better in every aspect bar portability?

Point of View Alulite.

Not sure if the 250mm fan is good or bad for airflow but it looks pretty cool when it's lit up in blue. It takes up a lot of space inside the case though which is a little annoying.

The filters are much less of a pain to clean than using compressed air throughout the entire case. I've only had my case cleaned using a compressed air machine once so far and it's clean as hell. Filters every month and a half at most.

For myself the reason the filters are so difficult is because I have a LOT of wiring I put behind the motherboard tray. The right side panel (you need to take off both to get at the filters, as far as I remember) is like a case of spring snakes when I open it and wires pop out everywhere.

So it's not so much, for myself, that cleaning the filters is hard; it's putting that damn right side panel back on :P

I basically have the fake version of that, all the usb slots are at the bottom, there is no silver on the bottom and of course no alienware heads and LED's.

Other than that, it is exactly the same but all handpicked parts in it.

Mine-

This one's mine

Decent airflow, can take quite a beating, and the carrying handle is incredibly useful. Few years old now, all the components just get switched out inside the case.

Well it looks like a plain old metal box, only interesting stuff is what I did extra:
- all wires that can be are run through the back panel are
- extended hard drive rack so all drives can be suspended on surgical tubing (the noise difference is amazing)
- bottom of HDD rack cut out for a perfectly placed intake fan, plus filters and all that
- both CPU and GPU fans replaced for bigger ones that can run slower/quieter with the same effect
- all fan bolts replaced with custom made silicone bushings, removes residual vibration noise
- and I have a fan/temperature/power usage control thingy (not sure what you call those), made that modular so the control panel can be taken out of the case and put anywhere close to hand

Also had a case with water cooling, then lent that PC to my sis as a backup... took her whole two weeks before it all went to hell.

I use a vacuum to clean our the fan cages.

Just buy an Alienware case online, no one has to know.

That looks like my friend's home-made PC... except on his, the side you have open is closed, and the other side of his is see-through. Same blue lighting though...
