With talking to people about my gaming habits. After platinuming and forgetting completely about Skyrim I went back to Demons Souls and been playing it pretty much non stop. Now my problem is I have a high level. I went online and asked for help on a forum so I can change my character and world tendency. Now I HATE the whole "Casual/Hardcore" gamer titles that pricks seem to put on others. Apparently I'm "A casual player" because I'm a high level...Are we really so shallow that we will put these titles one people because they play the game hours a day and they find 1 aspect fun?
I find that instead of the casual/hardcore labelling, an arse/friendly system works. Despite my many play hours on various games across various genres, I still associate more with the person that enjoys gaming every so often, to the one that's as into games as me but is a prick about it. I'd try asking a different forum, this one seems to keep it's arse population to an unusual minimum.
If you're a high level, nobody is going to be able to help you anyway.
Most people will level their characters to SL 120-125 for PvP, anything higher than that and you're going to really struggle finding someone online.
Talking about gaming habits is one thing i attempt to refrain from, even among my friends. They, (like the majority of the internet it seems) are on the anti-JRPG bandwagon. So anytime i play anything Japanese i get derided for "wasting my time"
So i don't say anything to them about what i am playing, unless it is also what they are playing. Dark Souls was safe for a while.
