Naughty dog is working on a new game The last of us and they have released a photo of a hand
sculpted model of one of the monsters, a woman infected with a parasitic fungus. Take a look for yourself WARNING this photo is not for the

Looks very good, and very much in the style of Amnesia. Also just looked up the fungus Cordyceps, turns out it's a real thing that really does that to bugs. I'm scared now.

I'm very much looking forward to this. Primarily because the zombie subgenre is starting to get a little overcrowded, and I'm eager to see whether naughty dog are able to add something new, or at least something awesome. They've yet to let me down with their other IP's....

Anybody else strongly reminded of feet? It's different...ish...like if a zombie got stomped on a whole bunch...and spliced with a giant foot. It's pretty cool looking and I look forward to other monster-models.

No worse than the not zombies head's splitting apart in RE4.

your actually going to be fighting humans more often acording to gameinformer. these creatures might come out at night although that last part is just my theory.

Yeah, that's pretty nasty, but from your build up I was expecting something a lot worse.

There's also a disease that infects caterpillars that's essentially a zombie plague :D

It slowly eats them up from the inside, while using the motor part of the brain to make the caterpillar single mindedly climb up a tree, where it then dies, and the corrosive effects make its remains smear along the branches and drip down below, which infects more caterpillars and the cycle continues.

Be interesting if a sample of that gets taken into a genetic engineering lab...

You'd think, with the woman being infected with the Cordyceps fungus, that they would've thought about this disease of yours...

I don't think it sees i think its blind

Makes me a bit nauseous just looking at it. Means it's a good monster, being actually unsettling instead of just odd-looking. I bet they cough out spores too.

I dunno, I think the game looks kinda lame so far. I didn't particularly enjoy the combat in Uncharted or Uncharted 2 so I don't really have high hopes for this.

Well that is a shocker. But I'd still do it. Hardcore.
