Poll: How would you react to the Call Of Duty fanchise being cancelled suddenly? Pages 1 2 3 4 5 NEXT
Probably wouldn't care and go back to playing COD4 :3 A lot of people on here would be glad it's gone
/thread in the first response?! ... for my own opinion I can't actually add anything, other than to echo: I couldn't care less even if my life depended on it. Though, of course, there'd be riots in the streets in all likelihood, with the number of weeaboos who need their fix of run-around-shooting with whatever gun's handy, if only to affirm their self-perceived superiority over other mid-teen dicks with newfound vocabulary and mic.
I would shrug the shrug to end all shrugs. Oh, and then I would make some sarcastic comment about checking the pulses of Activision's executives.
I would pull my eyes away from the TV, say "Hmm, sucks for the fans I suppose." then go right the fuck back to The Witcher 2 EE :)
I would wonder what the fuck happened to the executives at activision. Nobody short of a mentally retarded five year old would be dumb enough to cancel a game as popular as Call of Duty, and even that is debatable.
Wonder why the cancelled it, then laugh at all those 1337 QuICKSc0000pers and montager makers.
complete and utter indifference well ok mabye Id be a little happy...
I would take note of it, because there's no way that news wouldn't be far reaching on the internet, but other than that nothing.
I'd be kind of displeased since what little I played (Call of Duty 1, Modern Warfare 1 and 2) was really fun (SP only). Then I'd move on with my life.
I had a falling out with that franchise after black ops and so i really don't care what happens.
Went for "oh well". I'd be a little disappointed as I generally enjoyed both the single and multi-player parts, even if they went necessarily the best. Although I get the feeling most of the people here will go for the "Woo! Dance on it's grave" option if it's there.
Idk jimmies | |
I'd sit and ponder which shooter franchise Activision was going to milk next with the same formula.
How the hell? I mean stuff like this doesn't just happen, so I would be pretty confused.
I would be very confused. About as confused as I would be if Apple announced they were getting out of the electronics business to start a chain of doughnut shops.
meh, its been going downhill for a while and i wasnt planning on buying the next one and hopefully treyarch will be able to make a good FPS game. They are a kick ass developer but are being raped in the face by activision and forced to milk the cod franchise every 2 years...and still manage to make good FPS games (WAW and Blops were awesome), i want to see what it can do freed from call of duty
Good riddance as far as I'm concerned. They have milked that franchise so much that the udders are bone dry. Anything more will be just a half-assed phoned in carbon copy of its older siblings that sadly will sell millions of copies.
I wonder what bland military shooter will take it's place? Unless people aren't interested it that anymore, I wonder what other kind of game will takes it's place? I don't like the series so I'd be glad if people moved on to something else. Except the CoD kiddies, they need to stay away from all that is good.
I probably wouldn't react. I've never played a CoD game, and nor have I had any particular desire to.
With a resounding "meh". It would be far more shocking if Nintendo announced it wasn't going to re-release Zelda for the billionth time.
I demand a "meh" option, in fact all polls everywhere should have "meh" as a choice
But I would be a little surprised that they canceled Shitty Franchise That Prints Money #5.
i would praise the lord, sacrifice a goat in the name of satan and appease the greek and roman deities
It would make November a much more interesting month, that's for sure.
I would smile and say "Everything went according to plan..." Then cackle with glee.
I would not care. COD has not been interesting to me since 4, so not that big of a loss in my book. I would then stop and wonder who would be the next king of the FPS... It will be a hell of a scramble to try and reclaim COD's empty thrown, and certainly interesting to see.
I wouldn't care... because I don't play COD.
I'm reporting you OP that poll is giving me the finger! :p I wouldn't really care too much, but I'd be on the happier side, certainly.
I would be a little upset. I enjoy playing CoD for an hour or so every couple of days. It's just an easy way to relax, without having to think much to experience plenty of pretty explosions.
I'd feel more or less ambivalent. I'd be a a bit sad for people who still play and enjoy the games, but I've never actually tried them. On the other hand, maybe the good folks who work on them can work on applying themselves toward a new franchise or IP?
Wouldn't really care. Even though Call of Duty 4 was in my eyes Great, I really loved the campain. But then th series became a cash grab :/
I miss read the titale I thought call of duty of cancelled, biggest disappointment of the day.
Laughing my ass off was not an option, so I'll go with good riddance. I don't hate the game but I want something new, and as long as the old keep's selling nothing new is as likely to happen.
i stopped caring about fps like call of duty a while back

The most poular game ever at the moment.......if it died, how would you react?
