I think I'm finally over ME3 now...

I haven't bought the game myself yet and I'll think I'll wait to see how this "clarified" end turns out... or at least until all the DLC is sorted in to one easily purchased bundle.

Wait, they're already releasing the extended DLC? Did they even fix the face-import thing first?

Not sure what you mean? They said they would be "clarifying" the ending in some free DLC over the summer months, and I expect them to be adding more paid DLC as well at some point, since it seems to be the thing to do these days. That's what I'm waiting for.

I don't know what the story is with the face-import bug.

Oh, you're waiting on different bundle, gotcha. The only definite DLC I'd heard about was the Extended Cut stuff, but I guess I hadn't really kept up with their intended release schedule.

You are clearly not over it, seeing as you feel the need to make ANOTHER thread about it.
Because we need more. So many goddamn more threads. I haven't played the game yet, (I will, dispite hearing all the rage over the supposed horrible ending), so prehaps I'm wrong, and we should be rushing to the internet to rage over the ending, but I don't think so. Complaining to Bioware about the ending was stupid. And making threads saying you feel betrayed and wounded by the ending, and need all this time to get over it is stupid.

/Rant over. But still.

I was disapointed too but didn't make a big stink like most did.

I usually do 3 playthroughs in that game, 2 full ones, one pure renegade and one pure paragon, then a neutral speed run. I have all 3 files saved right before the last 2 missions so that when they release whatever the hell it is they're releasing that will make the ending better then I can pop it in and go.

I havent actually touched the game since early April because once I got 52/52 achievements I just stopped, even multiplayer lost its appeal. Not trading it in though incase future DLCs come out.

I got over it the moment they announced the extended cut. It's an amazing game, and it'll never have an amazing ending, but at least it'll have one, now. That's all I wanted.

Except it is not changing the ending, it will merely elaborate the old ones.
You can polish a turd but it will still be shit y'know.

I like this idea, if the extended DLC turns out to be crap, instead of sending Bioware 400 cupckaes, why don't we send them a few polished turds? Maybe that'll get the point across this time lol

yes the ending sucked, and yes there are rumours of a free DLC ending that was planned since december when the endings were leaked but i dont mind. I thank Bioware for what they gave me

its annoying how some people have sworn off ME/Bioware...granted I understand their reasons and its their right..but I feel its unfair for those at bioware who DID do a good job and didnt go all george Lucas

People are angry and rightfully so because, although casey hudson was the one who totally fucked the ending personally, the rest of the team didn't stand up and so no to him.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'm over the anger, and I've just stopped caring about the series in general. I've been replaying Assassin's Creed. :)

liek I said..how can you do that?

I... don't know. After all the time and energy and emotional investment I put into it, I really was furious at how terrible I felt the ending was, to the point that I was ranting and raving. But after the anger and feelings of betrayal burned away, I realized I'd stopped caring. Which also infuriates me, because I loved Mass Effect 1 and felt that the second game, while not as good, was still a great game. And I did like the third game. I liked it a lot! Probably the second best in the series. But it's like, those last ten minutes, showing that the creators who had once invested so much time and energy into making this series didn't seem to really care about it anymore, were so bad they dragged everything else down. To think that eighty plus hours of gameplay and decisions led to... that. Just... that. It killed the whole series for me. And I know I sound like I'm coming across as melodramatic, but that's just how horrifically anti-climactic and terrible the ending was to ME. This is just a matter of opinion, and I know there are lots of people who liked the ending, but for me it just sucked so bad that it killed everything else, including my interest. I won't even be downloading that ending DLC when it comes out, and it's FREE. That's how little I care anymore.

I think this describes most fans of ME feelings. Very nice explanation.

I now find both ME3 and the company that made it/stand by it to be legitimately funny. Here's a quick summary of why:

1. Rates as literally flawless on the average "objective" reviewer's sliding scale, despite obvious and numerous problems throughout the game (not just the ending).

2. It's the final installment in a story heavy single player game famous for dedication to it's fanbase, and it's website doesn't even *mention* the single player campaign. Or fan reactions for that matter. If I had to guess from this homepage: http://masseffect.bioware.com/ I'd guess it was an arcade style shoot 'em up that's gonna be made available "free" in a few months.

3. Bioware has an entire egg basket on their collective faces and they're still acting like dandies on their way to the ball with powdered cheeks.

4. People actually genuinely believe Bioware has an intact fanbase.

5. People *still* buy that the "Extended Cut" will be worth the wait.

6. Some people believe the indoctrination theory. STILL.

So yeah, pretty damn funny. I can't help but picture bright wigs and puffy red noses on Bioware/EA officials when they talk about themselves now. Makes it entertaining.

I sort of agree

however I dont know where the ending came from...even worse aparetnly there was a good ending, but it was cut, and people have said that casy hudson pulled a george lucas..I dont know

Question: What is RME about exactly? One side says "It's cause Bioware lied about marketing." while others say "It's got too many plot holes."

That's like saying "what's the GOP about?" Well, they all like guns, I can tell you that much. After that it's every man for himself.

Kinda sad no one can be set on what they were exactly mad about.

well now that you people posting about disappointment and have finished your mass effect games.
Why not start with Myth II Soulblighter, 10 dollars on ebay. In its twelfth year running the Myth world cup tournament will begin in a months time, so we are looking for new blood to continue the legacy of this epic game.

Mass effect had its time, its now time for a older game that will not remove 100$ from your savings only to be ashamed later on for fooling for EA's effective Old tricks.

It's not either or, it's both.

For example, they specifically stated that the ending would not be in an ABC fashion and that they would reflect all the major decisions you made throughout the whole series.

That was obviously bullshit. (In fact when this guy made complain to Better Business Bureau they actually found favor to the fact that it WAS false advertising! But that there was no real case... on another note, how does that make any friggin sense?)

The other argument is a bit more complex to explain, look up some angry blog :D.

I was super pissed at the ending: I didn't touch my Xbox for 3 days (that's really something for me)
I felt slightly better about it when I saw the internet raging about it.
But then I watched Avatar(the only thing I'm more nerdy about than mass effect) for the first time in 2 years and I realised I didn't care for any of the characters in ME3 anymore.
That shows you how fickle I am...

I forgot about ME3 after picking up dark souls. Best decision ever.

WoW and BF3 for me. Then again, I was never really upset about the ending. It was just a 'eh so that happened' moment for me and I moved on.
