All The Right Type

Yep. Grade 4, teaching us how to properly type on a computer (which, seeing as how some people of my age group type, they promptly forgot... Y U NO STOP PECKING?!).

I still say it was Sonic '91. The opening music and Green Hill Zone music still send me into fits of nostalgia. And the drowning music signifies very bad things. That shit should be played before exams.

I honestly don't really remember. I mean, I remember plenty of the first games I played, but I don't remember exactly which was first.

It could have been any of these:
-Bubsy
-Galaga
-Gauntlet
-Marble Madness
-Earthbound
-Chrono Trigger
-Pac Man
-Frogger
-Sonic

Those are some of the earliest game memories that I have, so it was probably one of those 9

Either Asteroids or Skifree.

On an actual console?
Bomberman and Mischief Makers are some of the earliest I can recall.

First game I ever remember playing is X-Wing, I miss those games... :<

Pong or Mario Bros on the Atari.

First game for
Nes: The legend of Zelda
Snes: street fighter 2
Sega Genesis: Sonic the Hedgehog
N64: Mario 64
PS1: Final Fantasy 7 (I think)
Xbox: Star wars Old Republic
Xbox 360: (can't remember)

edit

Abe's Odyssey. When I was something like 8. It kicked my ass so hard :<

Hmmm......thinking way back now.....
It was duck hunt i think.....not really sure

I honestly can not remember. I can tell you the first game I've ever owned, but not the first one I've ever played. I think it was something on the NES. Or was it the SNES?

I don't remember the exact first, I think it was Age of Empires before the expansion came out. Not entirely sure, it may have been Mario NES but either of those would fit.

I honestly can't remember which came first: It was either Crash Team Racing or Pokemon Blue.

Sixcess:
The very first? Pong, on one of those wood veneer finish consoles in the late 70s or very early 80s.

However the first game I'd say I played in the modern age of gaming would be Final Doom, on the PS1. 15 years later and Doom is still my favourite game of all time.

How old ARE you? I always asumed you were a 20ish year old girl ... Based on your avatar . Then again my avatar is ... Maybe i shouldn't have said anything .

My avatar alone should have put me as slightly older, since it's Hana Tsu Vachel, the lead character of Fear Effect, which was released way back in 1999 on the PS1.

In 'geek/pop culture' carbon dating - the first Doctor I watched was Tom Baker (still my favourite) and the first film I saw at the cinema (on its original release) was Star Wars - which is why I'll never refer to it as 'A New Hope'... because it wasn't called that!

Or in simpler terms, I'm 40, so you were, uh, half right?

First that I remember was Battletoads on the SNES. Bloody hell that was a while ago...

The Night Angel:
First one I can recall playing was Croc on the Ps one. But there was probably something before that.

That definetely wasn't my first, but it's one of my favourites. Definestely a guilty pleasure.

My first game was Super Mario Land on the game boy. Or was it Tetris? Pokemon Red? I know it was on the game boy!

super mario bros on the NES, i was probably 5 years old

Q-Bert for Atari...

Man i feel old now

Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo entertainment system and I played the HELL out of it, and the MOMENT I get my first paycheck I will buy both and play them once again!

Can't remember but it was propberly Chucky Egg, Grannys Garden or Space Quest 2.

super smash bros melee on the gamecube at age 3! (I might have played something before then, but it's not likely and I don't remember it)

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. I never stopped playing this game in the car on the road to Italy. Eventually beat it without dying, I will forever be proud.

All I know is that it was a very old arcade game.Possibly Pac-man,Space Invaders,Asteroids or Donkey Kong

DOOM. While I was still very much a child my mother would play it to blow off steam from work, and sometimes she'd let me play it.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe For the GBC

Ha! You've fallen into my trap! What was the first videogame you ever played? THE first now! Do you wish it was something else? I am proud to say my first game was the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES. However, I am a bit ashamed to say it was the one that came in the same cartridge as Duck Hunt. I am a bit of a purist. Anyway, your turn Escapists! What was the first game you ever played? After all, you never forget your first.

I remember that Glorious day... Fresh with youth, I received my Gameboy Advance and with it came the first and most memorable game I have ever played... The Adventures of Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs. The world was so immersive and unlike any toy I had ever played with before.. I fell in love with it then and this is why I spit on the new Spyro games like the Skylanders series or Legend of Spyro!

The original Rainbow Six at 5 years old.

My dad did the planning and tactical bits, well, pretty much all of it - but he'd let me have a go at moving him around a bit while he aimed.

You think that's bad? My first game was a 32-in-1 cartridge for the Nintendo Game Boy. That's the 'cheap, infected prostitute your friends bought you as a joke' of game virginities.

The first game that was mine was Pokemon Sapphire but I think I used to play games my dad before that.
GBA with Pokemon sapphire is still probably my favorite birthday present.

The first game I ever played was space invaders on the Atari 2600 in 1984. Apparently that was enough to hook me for life :p

I think it was a Small Soldiers game on PS1, probably

lol thread necro

I don't know for absolute sure what my first game was. If I had to guess about it it would probably either be Super Mario World (on the Gameboy Advance yeah I'm not cool enough to have owned a SNES) or Goldeneye on the N64.

All in the same day, when the NES first came out

Mario Brothers
Duck Hunt
Zelda 1 and 2

The first I owned were Micro Machines, Street Fighter 2 and Alien 3 for the SNES.

I think I played the original Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit before that, split screen, with a joystick.

I'd have to say Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis.

And now I have a desire to listen to the bgm of Ice Cap. Which will probably be drowned out by my current obsession with Final Fantasy

Donkey Kong 64. I don't have much else to say about it. I played it a few months ago and it shattered all of my nostalgia.

The camera angle... Oh, God.
