The South Park RPG!

There is of course no way of telling how it's going to turn out, but there are certainly things about the whole project that seem promising. For one, Obsidian is a well established studio with a couple of good RPGs under their belt, so hopefully there will be able to rely on more than just the South Park license to make it fun. Secondly, I think the RPG genre is going to be a pretty good fit. The type of humor you can fit into a shooter or a tower defense game is mostly disconnected gags and one-liners, which isn't really the main reason South Park is so funny. Hopefully the slower pace of an RPG will allow for a really funny game.

Shadowrun Returns is the only one I'm really excited about. It kinda infected my friends to the point where our D&D campaign group has turned into a Shadowrun campaign group.

1st Day Purchase

Darksiders 2 (I want it to sell well enough to see all four of them and I really enjoyed the first)

The Witness (Loved Braid and want to see what Mr. Blow has come up with here)
Quantum Conundrum (Loved both Portal Games and I liked the Gameplay shown so far)
The Last Guardian (Loved Sotc. I have doubts about this one but I'm curious all the same)

Might get at some point

Max Payne 3 (Wasn't bowled over by gameplay in previous MP games and this doesn't look that much different, but I'm sure to enjoy the story)
Guild Wars 2 (Don't personally know anyone who is getting it and I'm not a fan of MMOs either, but id join if a friend decided to get it)

Anyway, the only game I'm excited about right now is Warlock: Master of the Arcane. Which, thankfully releases on Tuesday :D

Not much. The only games that are pretty much a definite release-date buy are Pokémon Conquest and Dawnguard. I'm also keeping an eye on Diablo 3, Heart of the Swarm, Black/White 2 and Borderlands 2, but they're really not screaming out to me right now.

I also don't get why people are so excited about Dishonored. OK, it looks cool, but that's pretty much the only solid information we have about it. At least wait for some gameplay videos before saying it's the greatest thing ever.

There's not really much I'm looking forward to this year... Halo 4 I guess. And The Last of Us, for sure... that one's coming out this year right?

I already know I don't want Prototype 2 and there's no new Batman game so... yeah.

EDIT: I am also so sick of Assassin's Creed it's literally like I need to run to the toilet every time I see it.

" Coming out for years " are the key words here.

Although Mystery Dungeon is probably the only spin-off series that I found entertaining.

I'm really looking forward to Guild Wars 2 Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2 because I have a good group of friends I game with.

Also just for myself I will be purchasing Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite. Any extra dungeons for Grimrock will be snapped up too.

Also, Virtues last Reward (the sequel of 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors, which is pretty much my favorite DS game).

Check out some of the articles about it out there. It seems like it'll play a lot like Deus Ex, but a more open world and magic. I think I also read somewhere that you can do a non-lethal play through as well, which always makes me happy. I'll have a look later and see if I can find one to link.

I have a few games that I can kind of say I'm excited for, but I'm a fairly cynical, pessimistic person. Therefore, I try not to get myself worked up too much over anything just in case it turns out to be crap.

- Company of Heroes 2 (probably a ways off yet)
- Hitman: Absolution
- Bioshock Infinite
- Metro: Last Light
- Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
- Max Payne 3
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Rising Storm (developer-supported full conversion mod for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad)

That is about all I can think of right now. I don't think I will be rushing out to buy any of them with the exception of Company of Heroes 2 and Rising Storm. I will let my brother pick up Grand Theft Auto V, Metro: Last Light, Hitman: Absolution and Bioshock Infinite. The other games on that list may or may not be bought eventually if Steam has a sale or they turn out to be the best thing ever.

The biggest ones I'm excited for aren't coming any time soon. The nearest one is Max Payne 3, which I'm trying to get excited about just cause Max payne 1 and 2 were part of my childhood. Other then that, I'm really really excited for Metro Last Light, cause I was bored and decided to try Metro 2033. Holy crap that game was magically good. It was like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, but linear, and i didn't mind. It was neatly packaged, and satisfied me completely. Besides that, GTA V, Bioshock Infinite, Hitman Absolution, Assassins Creed III (Not so much), Crysis 3 (Sorta).. I guess Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, just cause I've played other transformers games..

2012 is looking like a fairly non-descript affair on my gaming radar. The only releases I have slated for purchase this year are Trials Evolution, the 360 Minecraft port, and the upcoming Skyrim and MW3 DLCs. I was really fired up about Diablo 3, but then they unveiled the 'always online' function and that became a no-go for me.

Yup. I went there. Like the prick I am.

Anyway, I agree totally with the Diablo 3 comments as well. Always online is a deal breaker for me. Vote with your money and all that crap.

Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4 and the Extended Cut DLC for ME3. It totally counts.

GTA V, Assassin's Creed 3 and Dishonoured are the games I'm looking forward to most and will definitley get eventually. But a few more I'm keeping my eye on are Dragons Dogma, Max Payne 3 and Wasteland 2.

I'm also looking forward to buying a few old 2nd hand games as soon as my Exams are over. for example, I still havn't got round to the ICO collection. And all those other games aren't out till end of this year or next year.
