Oh my god, it's...! (Voice Acting)

Suddenly, Tara Strong everywhere.
Seriously, who would have guessed Harley Quinn from Arkham City is actually Timmy Turner in disguise? Or a magical unicorn? Or Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls.

Danny Elfman is my idol, didn't do many game voice overs, but he was the singing voice for Jack Skellington, the voice of Bone Jangles (Corpse Bride), he played the voice to all of the Oompa Loompas in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory.

Not to mention he's the composer for well known games, tv shows, and movies. (Fable, The Simpsons Theme, most Tim Burton movies)

On top of that he's the lead singer for Oingo Boingo which is mostly only known on here for the pedo sounding song Little Girls.....

I THINK, I may not be entirely sure about this, but I think the person who voices Jake in Adventure time also voices Bender in Futurearma.

When I heard the Illusive Man's voice for the first time, I shat several bricks because it was Martin Sheen. Made my day at the time.

Picked up Madworld for Wii and when I was playing it one of the commentators sounded annoyingly familiar. Then it struck me.It was this guy

who also voices this guy

You would be correct.John DiMaggio is his name

After beating peace walker and watching both MLP FIM seasons i realise Tara strong does both Paz and twilight sparkle voices

Hi, I'm Steve Blum, I play Steve Blum, Steve Blum and Lord Steve Blum the Inheritor.

No, but seriously, it's already been said, but Odo was Mr. House?

That was just the happiest day of my life when I found that out (don't worry, other cool things happened that day too, I'm not that sad)

The same voice actress makes the voice for Farseer Taldeer

and

My mind was pretty much blown the very second I found it out...

It was pretty cool to hear the voice of Splinter Cell's Lambert in a tiny tiny scene of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That guy has a great voice.
...sorry, that's all I got.

I get this a lot, hell, if you gave me the name of a prolific voice actor, I could tell you what other roles they played.

For instance, I was watching my brother start playing through Tales of Symphonia, but Lloyd sounded awfully familiar... it took me a moment, but I recognized him as having the same voice as Robin from Teen Titans!

Almost got a heartattack when I read that the one voicing the japanese voices of Temari (from Naruto) and Edward (from FullMetalAlchemist) were the same person.

I don't recognize that many voice actors, but I absolutely freaked when I first played Mass Effect 2 (PS3 owner, so I missed out on the first one), and realized that Joker was voiced by Seth Green.

John DiMaggio is everywhere... despite having such a characteristic voice, he's done a very wide range of characters, including gritty chainsaw-rifle-wielding super-soldier Marcus Fenix in "Gears of War", semi-retarded carribean underwater handball player Wakka in "Final Fantasy X" and scheming 400-year-old pirate vampire Smiling Jack in "Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines".

"...wait, Oz is Joker?!"

It was watching Adventure Time on the Fire Princess episode and listening to the Fire King and going "Holy Shit! Admiral ANDERSON!!!!!!" Another reason to love the show.

Then it was walking past my brother's room and hearing a commercial for "I'm in the band!" and freezing because I thought I heard Alistair. I thought he was playing DA:O, but no it was the guy in the show just talking. Then I sat down to watch the episode and squeed at his parts.

I had to be told by my friend that Benny from New Vegas was Matthew Perry. It just seems obvious now. I did recognise Jason Statham in Call of Duty though.

Also I totally flipped my shit when Cracked told me that two of my favourite characters from my youth, Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, were the same guy.

John DiMaggio is in quite a lot of stuff, both games and animated shows. Always a little treat. As is Steve Blum or Nolan North.

I was jittering in anticipation to see who would bring voice to my favorite character in Kingdom Hearts when I pre-ordered the Chain of Memories Remake.
Oh my god it's Derek Stephen Prince!

I hope nobody ninja'd me on this yet.

HOLY FUCK, IT'S EMPEROR PICARD!

Also, J.K. Simmons.

Several people here have mentioned Odo being Mr House, so it's almost strange that nobody has yet mentioned that Michael "Worf" Dorn plays Marcus the Supermutant in Fallout: New Negas - reprising his role from Fallout 2, in which he also played the game's final boss, Frank Horrigan.

TopazFusion:
Ahh yeah. These three being voiced by the same guy . . .

He has a lovely singing voice too:

Plus, he was in Armageddon. My boyfriends mum was watching it a few months ago and I walked past the living room and thought `I know that voice..`

soren7550:
The only instance I can think of right now when I was watching Avatar (Airbender, not Cameron) with the boyfriend, and as one of the characters is talking, I say to him "She sound really familiar." He doesn't recognize her and after hearing her say a few more lines, I say to him "I think it might be Jennifer Hale." After hearing another line from her, I yell "It is Hale!"
Boyfriend doesn't think it is, so I pull up the Avatar wiki and whadya know, it is her (I know she does a lot of voice work, but still).

She also does the voice of Electra in the Cowboy Bebop Movie. And Trishka from Bulletstorm (both of these are a massive surprise to me).

I know Nolan North voices quite a few video game characters these days but him doing the voice for Nathan Drake and Dr. Richthofen (of CoD zombies) was hard for me to believe.

Apparently a random asari soldier in ME3 is played by...

I would agree. I just assume she voices someone in everything ever.

I was surprised as hell when I heard Angel from Saints Row the Third being voiced by Hulk Hogan.

King of Asgaard:
For me, it would have to be finding out that Loghain (DA:O) is voiced by Simon Templeman, most known for his role as Kain in the Legacy of Kain franchise. It made me like his character all the more when I imagined him saying 'Vae Victis' after a victory.

Yeah whenever I hear Simon Templeman I always think of Kain straightaway he was in Mass Effect 2 as well on Talis mission trouble is for me his voice is so iconic with Kain I cant except him as anything else it just sounds weird.

I am usually pretty clueless when it comes to voice actors sure I recognise some but it is rarely immediately glaringly obvious to me I do remember playing Final Fantasy XII and the old guy in the temple starts talking and I just thought bloody hell its Dwight Schultz so I looked it up to make sure and it was, also it appears that he has done a lot of voice acting in games.

If you dont know who that is he is Howling Mad Murdock from the A team (tv series not film) if still dont know you have missed out.

Jennifer Hale. 'nuff said.

Goofguy:
I was doing a second playthrough of ME3, one in which:

The Asari councilor sounded so damn familiar, I just couldn't place her voice. I had to go on IMDB to look her up but even then, they didn't have that specific character listed so I had to scroll through the list of VAs until I found a name that would jump out at me. Sure enough, it was Susan Eisenberg who provided the voice for Wonder Woman in the Justice League series from 6-7 years ago.

holy shit! as soon as you said that i matched up the voice with wonder woman and it matched perfectly! subconciously i think that bugged me a bit but not enough to go on a crusade to figure that out, thanks for pointing that out!

DustyDrB:
There are two video game characters' voices in this video (both from the same game series), though you may only be able to tell one because the other is singing backup. Guess who?

And I totally stumbled on that video by accident. I still like Scooby Doo, but only the old stuff.

mind = blown. i love scooby doo too, and i never made that connection...that is insane. they should've put some easter eggs in the mass effect games mentioning hex girls :P

OT:

well kingdom hearts blew me out of the water, I was playing it earlier and really paid attention to the voices...here are some just to name a few:

Hayden Panettiere -> kairi
David Gallagher (7th Heaven anyone?) -> riku
LANCE BASS (yes the one and only) -> sephiroth
mandy moore -> aerith
David Boreanaz (a.k.a. angel) -> squall
Christy Romano (even stevens/kim possible anyone?) -> Yuffie
Billy Zane (kinda old) -> ansem

those are just to name some, I know in the 2nd kingdom hearts and a few others they had a few other big ticket VA's, still, was surprised at this wide range cast.

kieth David is an amazing actor/voice actor, I truly love his work, thanks for pointing out a couple of those, I forgot he was the arbiter!

Soap Mctavish form Modern Warfare is Lucius Vornus from Rome. Blew my mind

Steve Blum, Jennifer Hale. Those two are goddamn everywhere. Funny how people don't even notice in Blum's case, because it's impossible not to recognise his voice.

Vault101:

Tallim:
heh you just have to look at Planescape Torment, insanely good voice cast for that.

Won't list them all but:

Tony Jay
Sheena Easton
John De Lancie
Jennifer Hale
Mitch Pileggi

and the list goes on.

??? FROLLO!! is that frollo??!

and fucking hell...that women is in everything..how does she do it?

Jennifer Hale doesn't have a home, she has a luxury booth in a sound studio. Each morning they slide a tray of food under the door and a big stack of lines to read.

Played Kult: Heretic Kingdoms some time ago (Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition if you're from the States) and noticed the narration is done by Tom Baker :D

He also did some narration in Hostile waters and Fire Warrior, if my memory serves me correctly.

or they keep her locked in there because she is actually classified as "part of the audio equipment" and therefore doesnt need to be paid

I find that fact that you automatically knew who I was talking about pretty funny
