Screwed up and Disturbing Games we play Pages 1 2 NEXT
Tone it down a notch there killer. The excessive use of the f bomb and the atrocious grammar killed the thread from the get go I think. :( That being said, I was highly disturbed with some of the goings on in Dante's Inferno. While I enjoyed it as a whole I was a bit surprised (and filled with laughter) to see a giant mutant tittied woman shooting dead babies out of her nipples at one point. Good game though! :)
Katawa shoujo . A dating sim with disabled/handicapped/deformed highschool students . Oh and a blind crazy guy . Does that count as fucked up?
Since I'm finally getting around to playing it I'll put down Condemned 2: Blood Shots. I'm pleasantly surprised how much mindfuckery is in this game so far. I just really suck at it. Also gonna put the obligatory mention to quite a few scenes from Silent Hill 2. Pyramid Head, need I say more?
is it bad that GoW comes first in thinking for that lol and there toned it down sense you didn't get rude about it. :P
I did a Challenge run of that recently No guns unless required to advance. It was hard later on D: I think the hardest part for me was when your forced to use a gun and cant move trying not to spoiler it.
Yeah, I haven't made it very far because of how ass awful I am at first person fighting (I'm an hour or so into the Hotel) but the few guns I've run across have been God sends.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines There are some bits in that game which are just plain messed up, definitely a game that deserves its M rating. How it escaped without an Adults Only mystifies me really.
I wonder that for Postal 2 as well...
I basickly unloaded my guns as soon as I picked em up then threw em at foes XD im clearly useing then effectivly
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That's fantastic! I'm so gonna try that sometime. I could just imagine the normal enemies staggering back and looking at you like 'what the fuck?'.
it is quite effective at stuns always aim for the head best time was when a guy was fighting ppl with a shotgun I tossd my gun at him then just rush in and beat his head in it was so awesome I had alot of trouble with game tho im not to good in first person main reason i did no guns was because some of my cast viewers challenged me to it and I almost always acapt them even if they are stupid as fuck In SR2 i forget the amount but someone said I couldn't loose a ton of money and get the exact number in less then a hour. I PROVED EM I COULD.
Well the silent hill games are pretty messed up. So's manhunt, with its awesome -running man- concept and truly odd enemies. Too bad the sequel fucked it up. They could have done a lot more with the snuff-film idea. Definitely the condemned games. Damn that dude in the locker.
To mention games that have not already been talked about, The Darkness and Deadly Premonition. In the first game you can eat people's hearts, and in the second, well... This is the cover: And things only get more stange and messed up from there. Damn, that game is awesome... The killer7 of this generation, I tells ya. EDIT: Also No More Heroes. The boss executions are just brutal, and some of the bosses are really messed up (Destroyman, anyone?).
Well, I recently finished the visual novel Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer and that was pretty messed up, and some of the scenes were downright creepy. I can't really show you any examples without getting banned for offensive material. Still a fantastic VN though.
Does it count as f'ed up when the last boss in Earthbound is basically a fetus inside a uterus and you have to pray to defeat it? If so, then yes - I've played Earthbound several times. Quite an awesome game, too.
I'm gonna go ahead and nominate Bioshock's "Fort Frolic" level. Or just Bioshock in general, actually. In other news, why is this captcha trying to hypnotize me?
The most messed up game I've played is Silent Hill 2, lol
I think amnesia: the dark descent has to be the most disturbing stuff i've seen.
Wow... for the most part I tend to stay away from such games. Not for the subject matter but because I guess they just don't otherwise appeal to me. The Reapers of Mass Effect do some pretty sick twisted s***. Melting people. Stunning them so they're completely immobile but fully aware of the horrific things they're doing to you and your loved ones. Remember when Shepard blew them all up from the inside out and you could hear their mechanical screams of agony echoing out across the galaxy? ... yeah me neither... Bioshock is pretty freaking twisted. Little girls who frolic from corpse to corpse sucking the blood out of em while they whistle merrily about angles. Not to mention scenes of sucking the life out of the poor little girls and wrenching the bloody slug from out of their intestines by your own hand as they plead for their lives... disgusting! Arkham Asylum is pretty disturbing. Orderly's held against walls and gunned down mercilessly. Blood smears everywhere. Response teams massacred as they plead for the sake of their families. Joker's laughing gas. Women blown apart by bombs. Paramedics brutally murdered as they cower in fear for their lives. Starcraft. Zerg. Mindless, hideous, subservient, debilitated Infested Terrans stripped of all semblance of intellect and humanity. Sarah Karrigan. Bloody tragic character. Poor girl. As much a victim as the billions of people she destroys. [SPOILERS]then she regains her mind and has to live with all the destruction she's wrought[SPOILERS] Not to mention the story depicted in Hybrid, a canonical Starcraft short story printed in the now defunct Amazing Stories Magazine about Karrigan's experiments trying to re-create a hybrid like herself. Effectively conveys the horror involved in infesting a Terran.... Sick, twisted, tragic, morbid s***. http://sclegacy.com/feature/8-scencyclopedia/356-hybrid I couldn't stand to live in a galaxy with those things.... I couldn't bear to have to worry about wtf they might do to me...
Although none of it really it disturbs me anymore, Dawn of War executions change you :p, The Darkness 2 has some really dark stuff. Like holy-heart-eating-spine-grabbing-from-the-ass-alien-chestburster-shit! It has some of the goriest deaths I've ever seen in a game. And I loved every second of it >.>.
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. BEHOLD! THE DRAKENGARD ENDING D PATH! How the hell this game ended up being allowed to be sold in australia remains a mystery even to me...especially given the games other content.
Dwarf Fortress by far. It may be from player "creativity" rather than by design but if you think too hard about a lot of things you can do in that game it's just disturbing. The forums themselves are filled with perfectly serious threads about the most disturbing acts. Merman farms and Dwarven Daycare - To quote the thread started for that particular gem "Dwarven Daycare, it's like regular daycare only with more dogs and less care" Whenever another new feature is introduced to the game the same thing always happens someone somewhere in the community will weaponize it in a some horrific way.
I don't think virtual Violence or even the whole Horrorthing in Games really falls under disturbing, or well at least for me it doesn't. I'm more disturbed by stuff that really fucks with your mind like the whole atmosphere in Portal or really weird old glitches in 1st gen 3D Games. But the most disturbing thing I've ever played is a re4ally obscure m,od for the first Half-Life called Half-Quake. It's still being worked and holy fuck is it weird.
Binding of Issac, that game really got too me at times. but Deadly premonition is more so messed up
Heed this... Wolf? :) Binding of Isac was seriously screwed up from the get go. Fighting enemies inside the womb of your own mother thats trying to kill you? And you fight with your tears. Yeah, tears. But yes, VtM Bloodlines was pretty screwed too.
from the maker of freedom force. in developement
Saya no Uta is a fairly disturbing visual novel, I really don't recommend it except to those that can handle heavy gore, extremely violent sexual situations and the like.
most disturbing game? | |
The only really disturbing game I remember playing recently is Binding of Isaac. It's just really creepy, the dissonance with really happy smiley faces and blood and gore everywhere, and piss and shit all over the place.
eh? you're inside her womb?
Most screwed up game Is here, watch 2:30 for some hilarious moments too!
There's only one game I know of that has you fighting walking vaginas that shoot lasers, not to mention the feces and abundant dark humour (Such as the wire coat hanger item that ends up stuck through his head). The Binding of Isaac is one fucked up game.
Grrr.... You double ninja'd me. I would have to second all three of these games. Deadly Premonition was a brilliant sleeper title a couple of years ago. Its just very messed up. And lets not even get into the craziness that No More Heroes is. That was pure comic gold. And the scary part is that you laugh at the humour but its such a gruesome plot. captcha: klatu berada nikto I didn't realize the escapist was using misspelled alien languages now.
Yeah, I had a hard time swallowing that info too.

So i'm pretty sure we have all played some messed up games weather good or bad anyways i'm wondering what is the most messed up thing to happen in a game for you weather it be good, bad or uncomfortable feeling?
Mine is Killer 7 that game mindfucked me the entire time and the whole decapitated head that was clearly a young woman possibly teen talking about rape and murder is just nuts.
I love the game tho xD
