Alright guys, lets build a pokemon team. All you have to do for this is pick one pokemon from each generation of pokemon and then one legendary. Mine would be:

1 - Gyarados
2 - Scizor
3 - Flygon
4 - Magmortar
5 - Druddigon
6 - Groudon

Alright, what would your teams be?

Edit: Just thought of another team.

Edit 2: Third team, I promise this will be the last one but this is so much fun, I love team building the possiblites are endless.

1.Dragonair
2.Typhlosion
3.Gardevoir
4.Empoleon
5.Ferrothorn
6.Ho-oh
Roll on the elite four.

Nidorino
Tyranitar
Aggron
Luxray

They haven't let me down so far and holy shit those are long URLs.

A Sandstorm team.

1. Dugtrio @ Life Orb w/Sand Force (Earthquake, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Substitute)
2. Tyranitar @ Leftovers w/Sandstream (Stone Edge, Stealth Rock, Crunch, Ice Punch)
3. Cacturne @ Life Orb w/ Sand Veil (Swords Dance, Seed Bomb, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse)
4. Garchomp(what a surprise!) @ Leftovers w/ Sand Veil (Swords Dance, Earthquake, Outrage, Roar)
5. Excadrill @ Expert Belt w/Sand Force (Rapid Spin, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Horn Drill)

Legendary: Terrakion @ Leftovers w/Justified (Sacred Sword, Stone Edge, Quick Attack, Taunt)

Well lets see here:

1. Red: Clefable
2. Silver:Typhlosion
3. Ruby: Gardevoir
4. Diamond: Torterra
5: White: Braviary
6. Legendary: Zekrom

I don't know any Pokemon past the second generation, and even then I don't know most of the second gen either.

But I'll go against rules and say Dragonite, Gengar, Alakazam, Raichu, Machamp and Garydos.

Gen 1. Charizard
Gen 2. Feraligatr
Gen 3. Gardevoir
Gen 4. Glaceon
Gen 5. Serperior
Legendary. Giratina Origin Forme

Generation 1:

Starmie

Generation 2:

Tyranitar

Generation 3:

Sceptile

Generation 4:

Empoleon

Generation 5:

Scolipede

Legendary:

Zapdos or Darkrai

Ima have the best adventures.

Here are my main teams however:

Kanto - Sandslash
Johto - Typloshion
Hoenn - Flygon
Sinnoh - Empoleon
Unova - Escavalier
Legendary - Melotta (I know it hasn't been released yet, but still my choice)

Razoack:

1 - Gyarados
2 - Scizor
3 - Flygon
4 - Magmortar
5 - Druddigon
6 - Groudon

You had a good thing going with Scizor and Gyarados. But then you had to throw a wrench into everything with Magmortar and Druddigon.

Raichu's stickin out like a sore thumb, there. A blemish amongst a golden plate.

This isn't even fair to the other guys.

1: Jolteon
2: Heracross
3: Flygon
4: Empoleon
5: Chandelure
6: Celebi

The movesets I would give them, particularly Celebi, would depend on whether or not this is competitive or in-game. I prefer in-game, honestly, because it's easier to go with a hyper-aggressive, no-holds-barred beatdown strategy. I'm sort of a kill-the-enemy-before-he-kills-you type of player and I honestly don't see much point to walls other than spreading statuses like Toxic or Will-O-Wisp.

Honourable mentions go to some of my other favourites: Golem, Gengar, Vaporeon, Lapras, Starmie, Kabutops, Mewtwo, Typhlosion, Ampharos, Espeon, Umbreon, Dunsparce, Scizor, Skarmory, Houndoom, Donphan, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Blaziken, Swampert, Gardevoir, Aggron, Wailord, Absol, Walrein, Salamence, Metagross, Staraptor, Honchkrow, Electivire, Magmortar, Togekiss, Yanmega, Mamoswine, Frosslass, Rotom, Dialga, Giratina, Shaymin, Samurott, Krookodile, Archeops, Galvantula and Reshiram. Admittedly, I probably could make another team or two with these guys, but it's too late at night for it to be worth the effort. (It's almost half-past-midnight.)

Need a bit of elemental damage in there for fighting ghosts, and I guess my favourite element is just lightning. I could have said someone like Zapdos or something, but I think those birds are overrated.

I disagree. If you evolve Pikachu after about lv40 once he at least knows Thunderbolt and Double Team (learn Thunder via TM or something later) he keeps Pikachu's great speed and Double Team can really keep you in a tough fight. He is my first choice for an Electric type with Magneton coming a close second since him being a Steel type really fucks with anything that isn't a Fire type.

Articuno is my favourite of the Legendary birds. Zapdos would be but his Electric/Flying type really screws you over against other electric enemies

Let's see...

Gyrados - Level 20. Still my favourite
Pichu - A level 100 pichu is always a favourite project of mine.
Blaziken - Still my favourite starter
Lucario - I like dogs.
Haxorus - Mold Breaker
The legendary - Reshiram - I like truth

Gen 1: Ninetales with the ability Drought.
Gen 2: Jumpluff.
Gen 3: Salamence
Gen 4: Garchomp
Gen 5: Chandelure/Braviary
Legendary: Reshiram

Ninetales to set up Sunny Day, Jumpluff to cripple the shit out of everything via Sleep Powder, Leech Seed and Worry Seed, Salamence & Garchomp for a devastating one-two punch with Chandelure/Braviary serving to give me a powerful attacker (Chandelure gets boost from sunny day, but Braviary IS pretty bad-ass...)

And Reshiram... well, max out special attack and start slamming enemies with Choice-Specs + Sunny Day boosted Blue Flares. Insta-kill even the hardiest of enemies with that son-bitch.

For my 'looks cool, performs however the hell I want it too' team, it's:
Gen 1: Starmie
Gen 2: Tyranitar
Gen 3: Metagross
Gen 4: Garchomp
Gen 5: Chandelure
Legendary: Mewtwo

3 physical, 3 special, all powerful, all type coverage. Plus they all look cool. Granted there's no Braviary, but... Mewtwo makes up for that.

barely...

I never played past the first two generations.. so I will cheat. Also yes, I like Flying pokemon if that is not made abundantly clear from my list haha.

1 - Dragonite
2 - Dragonite
3 - Dragonite
4 - Charizard
5 - Gyarados
6 - Pidgeot

Needless to say, my battles with Lance in Gold/Silver are so awesome it causes the world to explode because it simply cannot handle that much awesomeness in a single battle.

Let see-

1 Vapoureon
2 Tyranitar
3 Gardevoir
4 Garchomp
5 Chandelure
6 Victini

I'm pretty sure there are several weakeness to that team setup but I was thinking Pokemons that are both useful and I liked.

My Team.

If you want an electric type special attacker, you go with Jolteon. Raichu's garbage. Even pikachu has superior attacking stats if it has a light ball.

And for countering ghost types, an electric type attacker isn't especially effective. Something with an actual type advantage like a dark type or a steel type would help.

Magneton outclasses Raichu so hard it's not even funny. Pikachu has a 90 base speed which barely grazes decent, and Raichu doesn't fare much better.

Raichu is frail, relatively slow, and lacks any decent type coverage. It's ultimately a subpar choice no matter how you look at it.

Also, use of Double Team is banned in any reputable Pokemon community.

conkeldurr

That is all that must be said.

Charizard
Tyranitar
Metagross
Garchomp
Victini
Articuno

(Gens 4 and 5 picked from other escapist's lists because I'm not too well versed with them)

Team not conforming to these rules:

Charizard
Ditto
Metagross
Dragonite
Pikachu
Swampert

Blastoise
Tyranitar
Metagross
Togekiss
Galvantula
Entei

Go ahead, just try and stop me from taking over the world. I dare you.

DarkRyter:

Why? Because it makes you harder to hit? Do they also ban Sand-Attack?

Dragonite
Smeargle
Metagross
Lucario
Sigilyph
Arceus

Two for power, two for speed, two for adaptability

DarkRyter:

Razoack:

In hindsight, replacing Magmortar i'd have probably gone with Electivire instead and Bisharp instead of Druddigon

When you use double team, the game becomes a crapshoot. Actual strategy and gameplay gets thrown out the window, and the game becomes one guy spamming an attack hoping to connect, while the other guy spams double team hoping he doesn't connect.

Sand Attack isn't banned as the pokemon with lowered accuracy could just be switched out and switched back in.

But doesn't it just teach players to pack someone with an auto-hit move like Shockwave?

Then the entire game would just be people using double team, and people using swift variants.

It just ruins varied or interesting gameplay.
