I don't see what's so wrong with the Sims games. Unless you play them on PC AND console. One or the other...

Is it a bad thing that it's taken me 4 months to even begin to like HL2?

Haha, I have a few.

I have no clue what Dues Ex Machina is.

I thought Halo was stupid till I played Halo 2, three months after it came out, then bought the special addition back in the end of 06', didn't beat it for five or six months, but loved every minute of it. Then bought Halo for $10 and still haven't beaten it. Got close but I downloaded the Halo 3 beta and never picked it back up.

I have more fun making fun of people who can't play Guitar Hero III than I do playing it.
To add to that, I can play HGIII on expert, I'm such a dork.

I watch more cartoons than I do anything else, including play video games.

When it's a slow day at work, I pretend the hot girls are laura craft, I have a gun, and life is awesome.

I've actually bought something from Gamespot.

The first game I ever beat was Halo 2.

I leave my ps3 on just so it can fold at home.

I haven't played a game on my ps3 since Oblivion came out, which I have still yet to finish.

Sometimes I talk in a high pitched whiny voice on Xbox Live just to piss people off.

I haven't played GTA IV in more than three weeks.

I own Bionicle and Kameo on the 360, and I actually enjoy both.

I make Kameo swim and move around the camera so I can look up her skirt.
She didn't have panties until the second update for the game.

I hate all the Half Lives.

EDIT: I'll add some more

I've never beaten a Mario game.

I played three games on the N64, Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64 and Glover, nothing else.

I've played a DBZ game.

Wario Ware is the funnest game I've ever played on a Nintendo console.

I used to like fighting games.

I didn't like Gears of War very much.

Bioshock may be awesome, but I get a head ache from playing it for more than a few hours.

I stole money from my mom to buy a game I never played.

I rate games on their amount of manliness.

I've beaten THUG 2 on the PSP more than six times. It's the only game I played for the summer of 07'

I think Mass Effect is boring as hell, but I really want to play it for the story.

I laugh at www.urmrgay.com than I do grind my teeth.

I play GTA's for a few hours, then just shoot cops and go on sprees for twenty minutes then stop playing for a few days.
If you play a game for a long time, then stop playing cause you have to do something, then play it less until you just play it for cheep laughs or cause someone told you to, I call it the "GTA effect" cause of that.

I liked the DOOM movie, till I saw it again just recently and realized how stupid it was.

I rarely know what Penny Arcade is talking about.

I wish they would make a PS3 without Blu ray so we don't have to put up with these damn load times.

I love Assassin's Creed (played it for a month when I first got my 360)

there nothing wrong with loving assassins creed, youve just got to step back to appreciate it.

I second that.

speaking of, I picked up the "kill 25 guards in one fight" achievement in a random guard chase, and by the end I was standing in the middle of an area covered with dead guards, with most being killed by the left handed assassin-dagger-stabby-thing. yeah, I got way too good with the combat system.

oh, as for something I don't even get a smidgen of pride out of: I couldn't catch the fat guy before he waddled into the guard post. yeah, fail.

I have yet to play:
Anything made by Valve
Any MMORPG of any kind. At all.

With the Exception of the Valve thing, I regret nothing.

L4Y Duke:
I've never played Starcraft.

GASP!

oh and i also beat many of the barbie games my sister bought under the excuse of 'testing to make sure they worked'

I played, and completed command and conquer generals, pokemon red, yellow, and gold(I also caught 251 pokemon and cheated repeatedly).
I played Yugioh for a year(including a video game), I played White Wolf for 2, and a few games of Vampire the masquerade. I was in a BESM (anime RPG) with a PC who had gaydar (we kicked him out for being a homophobe, who was probably gay just hiding at the back of the closet, and for creeping us the fuck out)
I spent 3 days trying to get a pair of girls to make love in Sims 2, while I was at a friend's house, I don't remember if I succeeded.
I've willingly role-played as a girl on several occasions, admittedly they were usually lesbians, if not then bi, and yes it did tend to come up.

EDIT: When I was in Jr. high I stole money from my band funraiser to buy a gameboy so I could play the copy of Pokemon red I was getting for christmas, which I took from my mom's closet while she was in the hospital, while I was at my grandparents house.

I can't think of anything else, for right now, however I've been a big time gamer for over a decade, I'm sure I'll remember something later.

The first time I tried to play FFVII, I didn't realize that the elevator was an elevator and promptly died right in the beginning.

I've NEVER been able to do the "hide-from-the-guard-puzzles" in any RPG I've ever played- I've always had to use gamefaqs.com to cheat my way through them.

I very rarely beat a game. (This stems mostly from the fact that I check them out for a maximum of 4 days from Gamestop, and I never actually have money to buy it afterwards) Among the few I have actually beaten are FFX, FFX2 *cringe*, Suikoden V, Neverwinter Nights (the original, no expansions... yet), and a couple DDRS on Standard. Maybe I should play a few that aren't RPG's just to beat them, lol.

I never played WoW myself but I used to sit on my ex boyfriend's lap and watch him play all the time. I was doing the same thing with Half-Life Two: Episode Two for a while...

EDIT:
Oh yes, unlike most gamers, I enjoyed 'Stay Alive'. When she brought out the camera from Fatal Frame, I squealed. Which the theatre wasn't happy about, but they can suck it because they probably didn't get the reference.

Epic post for an epic thread alert:

I've never played through a final fantasy game yet wasted my time on multiple pokemon games, not to mention hacked the crap out of those games once boredom set in and started selling things like rare shiny mews for example.

I fail to see how the newer mario games with their often preschool like character vocabulary are so popular.

I have pulled off the 'Diago' parry but now barely play fighting games and think mvc2 was nothing but a broken fanboy fest

I mastered Fatal Fury 1 before I even touched street fighter

unless you've played a game more then me, chances are I would be 'that guy' in a gaming party.

I still have my friends copy of shaqfu somewhere, completed it with all characters and even found glitches

I never played a zelda game until the wii came out. I've finished twilight princess but even now I don't fully see what the big deal with ocarina of time is.

I tried playing the first metroid and it bored me to death

I despise lag and consider it the reason for most of my losses online

I find anyone who uses the term 'e-sport' in a serious sense laughable

I took part in a final fantasy online bet to see which mithra could get the most free stuff in terms of ingame currency value. I came 3rd out of 4 people (the winner doing so because he married his victim!) as well as partied in a team of nothing but Mithras. I acted more respectfully then normal since I assembled since I was the last person joining they were girl friends who knew each other, only for them to later confess all but one of them were men! Since then I have the belief that items in rpgs = power not skill and girl characters in rpgs (real or not as long as they're willing to use their charms) have it easy.

I've barely played halo and the appeal to me seems to be it can do all the things PC shooters have been able to do for years already!

Face hugger encounters in games turn me to a suicide bomber, should I happen to be carrying something explosive in my hand at the time.

I'm one of the few people to play through batman forever on the genesis and the broken as hell arcade version *cringes*

I think the DOA games are 90% fanservice and 10% gameplay

I think fighting games played with joysticks makes you look stupid, the industry switched to pads for a reason!

I was furious on metal gear solid 2 the first time vamp kills you know who, then so confused by the last boss I didn't even know if I was supposed to kill him or bide more time for snake to show up

I have cried laughing at a drunken friend being chased by a Pyro Monkey in TimeSplitters 2

I originally played through Parodius 1 and 2 oblivious to all the sexual innuendos

I did a count of how many games I've played out of curiosity, so far the count is just over 300

I have a few to contribute as my first post on these forums.

1: I hate the Halo series.
2: I've never enjoyed any of Valve's games, with Portal being the only exception.
3: I've played a DBZ game.
4: I found Bioshock to be practically flawless, really, it was like Painkiller, the story was forgetable and was made perfect by the variety of ways you could kill tonnes of dudes.
5: I've finished every Final Fantasy to date, bar 11, I refuse to buy it.

I hate Mario! I thought all Super Mario games sucked. I don't like platformers except Psychonauts. But I really want Mario killed by being stuck in a SuperNova that is thrown in a blackhole with Paris Hilton.

I really want to try World of Warcraft (overall, is it worth it?).

What you should do is play the 10 Day trial, Google World of Warcraft Free Trial and click on the first link.

If not, play a private server for a while, then buy the game

I have no skill at first-person shooters, fighting games, or strategy games - and they bring me nothing but frustration - but still continue to buy and play them anyway.

In high school, I once paid a classmate five dollars to clone his Mew in Pokemon Red.

I wept when my Pokemon Silver cartridge stopped saving.

The only incentive I have to purchase a new console is to play Disgaea 3.

I played Final Fantasy XI for all of two hours six months ago, but I still haven't canceled my account. They'd delete my mithra.

I kind of like Age of Conan.

Oh yeah I played Maple story also, it was ok took too long to level and you could never tell when something was going to eat your face, the only real way was to use a ranged attack once, if you hit you might stand a chance, if not you will be waking up in town real soon.

EDIT : oh yeah I owned pokemon cards also, had almost the entire first set until some little douchbags walked of with the 3 most valuable cards in the set.

I never played FF7, got bored and didn't finish Bioshock, and i cheat shamelessly on RTS games just because i love watching an innumerable horde march forth and decimate my NPC opponents (i don't cheat online, so don't chew me out. i still have some morals when it comes to cheating)
