Who is your favorite Jedi?

Now, Star Wars is easily one of the most popular franchises in all of media. The question is who do you think is the coolest Jedi? He/she could be from any medium: movies, games, books, etc., and can be good or evil. BTW, my faves include Yoda, Windu, and Darth Revan (Star Wars KOTOR)

Mace WIndow. Sorry bout that i don't know what i was thinking but yeah. He's the best one.

Obi Wan Kenobi I would assume he is the best.

Mace Windu or Anakin from epII, definitely (statement = 200% o.0).

o by the way, lets not have any heated arguments i dont wanna get locked and banned again

Well I would always choose Plo Koon on Jedi Power Battles so I guess I'll go with him.

Exar Kun. He was a Jedi before becoming an awesomely evil bastard.

Yoda

conqueror Kenny:
Mace WIndow FTW! The only black Jedi ever.

Does it also provide a refreshing but sometimes annoying draft from time to time, too? Or perhaps an 'insight onto the wider world', literally?

o by the way, lets not have any heated arguments i dont wanna get locked again

So, what? We state which one we like an leave it at that. I personally would think you'd get locked for the fact that this thread doesn't really provide much of a 'discussion point', but rather an open question where answers are limited anyway.

My favourite is the prequel saga's Obi Wan; because he can act!

so what? thats exactly what its supposed to be, just a simple discussion like you might have with your friends. and besides, no heated arguments doesnt mean no friendly debating

Obi Wan Kenobi for being the most underrated Jedi ever. In Episode I, he beats the ultimate bad-ass himself, Darth Maul, then in Episode III he takes Grievous, then when everyone is hyping Anakin up and saying he'll be the strongest Jedi ever, Obi Wan kicks the punk's ass. And in the Obi Wan only dies because he lets himself get killed.

Other than him, though, it's all about the Sith; Darth Revan, Darth Vader, and the Dark Side Exile (KOTOR II.)

I am in complete agreement. I only didnt say him too cuz I figured everybody would

+2 for Obi Wan

I would say Darth Maul. Obi Wan only kicks Anakin's ass because ass because he isnt the strongest jedi yet.

The dead ones.

Because they're dead.

Kyle "I'll use Force Lightning whenever I freaking want" Katarn. He goes soft in the later games but for the first 2 or 3 he's a pretty edgy character.

hey, ive forgotten the name of the mandalorian who joins your party in KOTOR, can anyone refresh my memory?

Canderous Ordo or Mandalore depending on which one you're playing.

Obi Wan was the best Jedi. He kicked the most ass. Only one to come close was Mace Windu but only because his lightsaber actually had B.M.F. on the handle!

thx

From the movies, I'll go with my boys Obi-wan Kenobi an Ki-Adi-Mundi. Just straight up cool characters that can be bad ass but also very wise. For books and other lesser know canon, Corran Horn and Jacen Solo. Horn reminds me of Obi-wan, and with Jacen I admire his way of thinking outside some of the Jedi ways(I'm only on LOTF Exile so no spoilers please).

Obi-wan Kenobi as played by Sir Alec Guinness hands down. Ewan McGregor was pretty cool too, but nothing compared to the original mysterious old hermit.

"It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together."

If Sith count then Darth Bane wins the cake. Killing a massive army of jedi and all the people under his command with the Though Bomb, hell yeah.

I'll have to say . . . Dooku. He uses the Makashi stance which is always fun to watch :D

Does General Grevious from the cartoons count? When I saw III I couldn't understand why he was supposed to be cool or interesting, then Tartovsky's cartoons made him into the ultimate badass.

Seeing as Grievous is as much as a Jedi as C-3PO is...no :P

I'd say Jolee Bindo. Cranky old man that tells the jedi and sith to shove it and live him alone.
On the darker side, Kreia for being a manipulative old witch.

KotOR Jedi > movie/book jedi

Qui-Gon Jinn was definitely the best. I was angry at him being killed. And please no one else say Obi-Wan. Sure, he was cool, but he could not have defeated Grievous by himself. Watch the cartoon, Grievous was badass. The only way Obi-Wan beat Anakin was because Anakin was a little bitch. And yes I love the movies.

Well Lazarus, you're out of luck...

Another vote for old Obi-Wan,
master of the Jedi mind trick, could sense a planet being blown up half a sector away, he managed to keep his presence supressed for some forty years (without needing a planet teeming with life to mask him), getting both the Emperor and Vader to think he was dead. The more books you read the more powerful he becomes, apart from Exar Kun he also managed to keep his spirit from dissipating longer than any other Jedi out there.

I also love the way he fights in ep IV, those little arcs and tiny swipes are all you need to carve someone to pieces with a lightsaber, that way of fighting always seemed to make much more sense to me than the wild swinging it later became. A weapon with limitless penetrating power would seem to me to be one you would stab rather than slice with, especially as slicing can lead it to bouncing off another saber and into your own face.

Whatever he did in eps I to III I don't particularly care about, it was the 'crazy old wizard' he became that is the most impressive about him. For the prequels Lucas largely rewrote what was established about him in the early movies and books.

C'Baoth gets a note for being deliciously insane.

My own SW rpg jedi (named Vortigar obviously) was also modelled largely after old Obi-Wan, primarily vested with defensive skills and mind tricks.

Drugar:
There were characters like that in the books before KoTOR was released... The witches of jadajadaIdontknowwhattheplanetwascalledagain to name three.

Dathomir? :P
I should read more of the books. I got the Swarm War and the Entire legacy of the Force saga (Is that Legacy? The one where Jacen go bonkers anyway) but I've only managed to read one book in three months or so. Things like Mass Effect and occasionally work distract me.

True, the arcs and swipes are good, but with a weapon with limitless penetration power, you can do pretty much whatever you want. Also, the big intricate fights we got later were about applying enough power to the swing to break your enemy's defense, and also just getting around those defenses. Also, they looked beautiful and cool.

Zayne from the KOTOR comics, nuff said.

No votes for Kyle Katarn?

General Grevious, for having an excellent Drunken-Fist technique with 4 lightsabers.

L.B. Jeffries:

It's the other way round actually. He was a badass first and then Lucas made him into an asthmatic. He's not technically a Jedi/Sith though.

I'm going to go with Exur Kun, or Darth/Dark Underlord

pffft, Jedi. Darth Maul is the best thing to ever hold a lightsaber.
