Let me begin by saying that if this thread has been done before, I'm sorry. The search function on the top-right corner doesn't bring me to anything other than a list of all Escapist-related articles.

So let's put it this way- if you had a chance to enter into any video game and hang out with any one character, who would it be? Would it be the hero of a game, or the villain, or just some random NPC that you thought was cool? Would you play the game with the character or just hang out and talk with the person?

I would hang out with solid snake from MGS4 so I could beat the living crap outa him for being a really cool character in a game with the second worst storyline in history.

Well, that happened rather quickly.
I would only settle for characters that I created myself. That way you'd have a lot more in common, even if personality-wise things did get a little narcissistic.

Actually, that's how I would go too. I'd choose my Final Fantasy XI character over pretty much anyone else. Though, I'd also like to meet Joanna Dark (the N64 version, not 360 version) or anyone from Final Fantasy Tactics.

Look right under "Topic Index" or "New Topic" there is a small and not very noticable "search" that is directed for forum topics.

If you could choose one character, you'd choose an inanimate object? I'd rather hang out with psychotic GLaDOS than the Aperature Science Weighted Companion Cube. Remember, it cannot speak. If it does speak, you are to disregard whatever it says.

Maybe I'd hang out with Niko Bellic. On his off-time he's a pretty chill guy-- we could go bowling, shoot some pool, go out drinking and whatnot.

if i could choose to hang out with 1 gaming character, it would probably be Megaman, not sure why, he doesnt speak anything in his good games, but still, he's cool, hopefully he would be like in Captain N, only not green...

I'd hang with the Dark Side Revan from KOTOR. Just going around watching Revan being a total dick to people would be awesome. Also Atton from KOTOR 2, he'd be fun to go drink and get hookers with.

I would rather have Durandal from Bungie's mac series Marathon. I want a computer with a god complex that won't try to throw me out a air lock as soon as become "tiresome".

If you hung out with anyone who in some way saved the world/fought in a war/had their family killed/was tortured, whatever, NONE of your problems could compare to theirs, so you'd have to hope they either really liked you, or your guilt emotion has been disabled :P

However, it would be pretty cool to hang out with Niko Bellic, as long as you avoid any sort of double-crossing/pissing him off.
