Paperboy Posts: 48 Joined: 30 Dec 2007 | The Syphon Filter series has become very disenchanted for me. I used to love the first two games on the PS1, but now they just seem redundant and rather poorly done. Of course, they were smashing back in their time, but I just finished playing both and found myself feeling empty instead of nostalgic. |

Why? Because I don't like pokemon? |

Partially. But then again, underaged chucklefucks who don't like Pokemon is one thing. It's another when you say that all NES and SNES games suck except the Mario Brothers games. Boot up an emulator, play Kirby Super Star, Contra, and Megaman X. User was banned for: Gaming culture is irrelevent. . (Permanent) |

I have a SNES and NES emulators with all the games. (only 183 MB for the NES and 0.99GB for the SNES. Kirby-mario like platformer with power stealing powers. Got repetitive quickly. TWO WORDS:Shaq Fu |

I've seen some crazy re-vamp mods for that game lately, maybe it's time to do a little surgery and liven it back up? |

Halo is a good game. The fans just suck. And highly overrated. User was banned for: Gaming culture is irrelevent. . (Permanent) |
Press Junketeer Posts: 442 Joined: 21 Jan 2008 | Megaman X was the best in the series, but thats not saying much. The best game to come out of that era is Metroid 3 in my opinion, but YMMV. Name any Resident Evil game other than 4. They don't age well at all. What really bothers me is that people constantly gave Tomb Raider (the first two are still pretty fun even today) crap about it's clunky controls but Resident Evil gets a pass. The things are nearly unplayable now. ZetaSan: You might want to tone down agression. I see a ban in your near future. |

Well yeah i could name quite a few resident evil games actually 5 if you count the one coming out( RE1, RE2, RE3, RE5, RE UC ) :P But yeah i dunno i was like 8 at the time and i have the orginal i think super NES is what it came out on? |

Anonymous Source Posts: 3 Joined: 3 Jul 2008 | Yeesh... a few flametards in this thread....Anyway before I get sucked into too, I'd have to say the game I'm most disappointed in going back to play now is Super Mario Land 2 for the original game boy. Used to love it and play it on family road trips all the time, picked it up and just couldn't get into it. Didn't feel like the same game I loved as a kid. |

Awe man, I still play the living shit out of that game! I constantly 100% it twice a day. Trying to speed run it and what-not.... *cough*. When I have the time ofcourse.... God that game is sweet. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2832 Joined: 8 May 2008 | Crash Bandicoot-Its still okay but looking back it wasn't the "Bestest Game on Playstation" I used to think it was. |
Paperboy Posts: 48 Joined: 30 Dec 2007 | Amusing to me how this thread started a little over an hour ago and half the posts are a small flame war. (I'll put $5 on shatnershaman) Anyway, another set of games that lost its luster for me is Hitman and Hitman 2. I absolutely love the Hitman series and still play Contracts and Blood Money to this day. But the other two are very glitchy, overly sensitive on the aggro/attention metre and the controls for the first game are rather sluggish. I still believe 2 is an improvement over the original, but both are very hard to play (control-wise) compared to the others. |

Yeah and theres going to be another hitman thats next-gen yay!( No sarcasm i remember it being announced ) |
Press Junketeer Posts: 428 Joined: 2 Jul 2008 | Pokemon (all). now its just so damn boring and frustrating. i hate random combat. your like, walking on the grass and a worm appears. a 2level worm chalanges my lv100 Raykuaza. shouldnt it back off? |

They fascinated you in past years, but you've become disillusioned since. Which are they for you?
Anyone remember Croc: Legend of the Gobbos on PS1? It dazzled me as a kid, but I tried going back to it and was overwhelmed by the redundancy.
