I'll miss you, Eli. | |
All I can say is Why oh why did you have to die Captain Price.
I choose to think he lived. He's too badass to die.
Well I am only assuming here but yeah your right he could be alive. I liked him a lot his ruthless attitude and remarks made him one of my favorite NPC characters ever.
Best part is, odds are there's never going to be any proof either way. He's Schrodinger's badass - in a constant state of both alive and dead.
I felt the captain's death pretty hard too, but you're right, Price's death was never confirmed
Yeah that makes it worse because if they somehow put him in a sequel when if they say he died than that's bullshit!
Sorta not entirely accurate to OP's question, but the death of the Battletech series came with the sell-off to WizKids. WizKids had no interest in Battletech as it was, and only wanted to pitch their Dark Ages shit, so they finished off the novels by killing off every character from every author and totally fucking up the "classic" battletech 'verse. Rest in peace Gray Death Legion, Kell Hounds, Northwind Highlanders, and Erandi Lighthorse.
Bu then if any of us try to find out, the waveform will collapse. :p I really liked the founder of Rapture in Bioshock, although his name escapes me.
Andrew Ryan! | |
How about Roman, in GTA4? My curiosity as to what would happen punishes me again!
I sorta feel sorry for the cps in half life 2, most of them probably just joined up to not get beaten with stunsticks.
I felt bad for everyone at the end of dreamfall:the longest journey. Remember that crap? Everyone freaking died!!!
Even though i knew it from the very beggining, i hated that the marine died in the SPOILERS (like you don't know already) nuclear explosion. Those parts where i played the marine were usually the best parts i played because i didn't need to "go silent" and wonder why the enemies havn't heard their comrad's gun fire next door. But ironically, i'd have to say that my favorite mission is "All Ghillied Up" as i do like stealth every now and again.
Aeris lol. Not really. I never even played that game. I really hated the end of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 where It wouldn't have been so bad if the game hadn't ended right there, but then the screen faded to black and the credits started rolling and I just sat there, mouth agape for like three minutes.
Gaz from COD4.oh,and Luca brasi from the godfather game.i knew he died,i just didin't expect it so soon.
agree with you on both! also Wrex on one of my Mass effects accounts
Sergeant Johnson....i mean wtf! And Carmine from Gears, i loved him :'(
I never killed Wrex, I talked him out of it, but picking between Kaiden and Ashley was painful
lol i bet you a gazillion bucks whoever u chose aint dead and turns up in the sequel as a convienient deus ex machina (spelling?)
In KOTOR when you become evil and you pretty much end up killing over half of your crew who you've grown to like a lot over the course of the game.....except for Carth...he was a prick. Weighted Companion Cube shall always be missed. The second time I played through Mass Effect and chose to sacrifice Ashley instead of Kaiden. Ashley was cool, unlike Kaiden. I mostly didn't like Kaiden because he was voiced by the same guy who voiced Carth from KOTOR. Eli Vance shall be missed.
THE DEATH OF BIG BOSS - THERE WILL ONLY EVER BE ONE BIG BOSS
How... How do you get "deus ex machina" right, when you can't spell convenient? That's... Amazing. I'm baffled.
I guess he doesn't exactly die, but at the end of Shadow of the Colossus, the bad-ass main character gets turned into a damn baby. I mean, that's worse than death, seriously.
Amen to that, what was with that ending?
fenix from starcraft! ...i just really liked him, he was my second favourite hero.
It was a shame about Black Guy On The Rooftop in Alone in the Dark 5. You're crawling around the side of the building, and he's there too, and shortly after meeting him he gets crushed by fallind debris. Sad, really.
Luis dying in RE4. Man, that sucked.
don't fret my friend carmine is back in gears 2 for some reason
I'm going to third Eli dying, but Hey, G-man gave him fair warning :P.
Why? Why did you have to die, Athena? You were the only person who Kratos actually liked! And you were the only person who was in any way likeable in the whole series (or you will be once we see what she meant by Gaeia betraying Kratos). But I doubt Eli will die. Does no-one else think its odd that they brought someone back to life early in the same chaptetr that they kill aniother main character? Also, the white trash girlfriend from Vice City Stories. In spite of the description, her death was a real emotional thing. And even though I forget his name, the British commander who you fought the Widowmaker in the hanger with. He gets the most sympathy for the least screen time.
Halo 2 Cortana-Because it wasn't permanent If it has to be permanent then defiantly Marine because his missions were actually fun after he died COD4 single player went down the tube.
He speaks Latin, but not English.
I like it when a character is developed and killed off, as long as it doesn't happen in every single game/movie. I just watched "Click", the Adam Sandler movie for the first time, and I thought it actually had a really good ending when he died. Then it ruined it by saying "ha ha, it was only a dream, everything that has happened so far was pointless."

Has there ever been a character in a game that you really felt for, a character that got you immersed in the game, only to get killed off ten minutes from the ending? I'm sure we've all felt that sting, I'm looking at you, companion Cube...
