What a great game, though, totally underrated... so much fun to be had in that mall :) Kinda weird it took them this long to port it over to the Wii, although I suppose you really gotta use that motion controller and he has SO MANY motions... Would actually be an interesting game to play on the Wii, I think... a lot of fun movements and swinging of the axes and plopping masks on zombies and such... |

Press Junketeer Posts: 399 Joined: 6 Jul 2008 | Pfft, like they'll do a sequel when there's Resident Evil 4.1 (AKA Resident Evil 5) to finish and Resident Evil 4.2 (AKA Resident Evil 6) to begin. |

Haven't you learned? Fanboys never say anything negative about their own console! Besides, Xbox 360 fanboys generally only fight PS3 fanboys. |
Press Junketeer Posts: 399 Joined: 6 Jul 2008 | Nintendo seem to focus on Japan a lot more than Europe and America. Microsoft and Sony, on the other hand, are intelligent, so they don't treat the majority of gamers like shit just because of where they live. Knowing this, many developers keep games off the Wii because they know they'll sell sod all outside of Japan. Or at least, that's how I understand it. |

Whether or not your analysis is true, "not-intelligent" Nintendo has been winning the sales race all over the world to this point.. Of course I live in Japan, so best of both worlds ^^ |

This story reaks suspiciously of bullshit. |
BANNED Posts: 12958 Joined: 30 Jan 2008 | Huh. I wonder what brought this on? I mean, this doesn't seem the logical choice, to bring a game about murderous zombies onto the system seen as the kiddie system, or one with a steep difficulty curve onto the platform for casuals. I'm pretty sure this "exclusive" stopped selling XBoxes a long time ago. I hope its good though... maybe they'll fix some of the frustrating bugs and glitches from the XBox version. |

Just because it has a lot of kiddy/casual games, doesn't mean it has no mature games at all. |

*cough* Really? Resident Evil? Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem on the GameCube? That new one on the DS that I can't remember the name of? Nintendo has had quite a few survival horror games over the years... and Dead Rising is way less scary and more... goofy than any of those. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 717 Joined: 4 Feb 2008 | I loved this game, despite all of its faults So I'm glad that this game may find a new audience to love it. Good for you, Dead Rising. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1085 Joined: 25 Feb 2008 | I'm suprised that the wii can even run something originaly intended for a real console. I was expecting(and hoping for) a pc port to be honest, with the x360 pretty much being a pc with a growth disorder in the imput part... |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3757 Joined: 18 Dec 2007 | I might get this aslong as they get rid of the tiny writing that ruined the 360 version. |

I object to the implication that the Wii isn't a real console and I don't even own one (360 fuck yeah). Would you care to explain why the Wii is any less of a console than the other 2? |

Sony cares about America? |

I don't know where you are buddy, but I believe SCEA is set in America. Though this does smell of bullshit, it will still give me a reason to turn on my Wii and not myself. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2487 Joined: 29 Nov 2007 | Eh, they made cell phone version of the game, why not? It looks like the only real changes they'll have to make is cut down the number of zombies on screen from 800+ to...whatever number the Wii can handle. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2694 Joined: 20 Feb 2008 | It could be good if they fix some issues I had with the original (mainly that guy who kept calling me every 2 seconds to say things I couldn't read without taping my TV to my eyes). Hope they don't go with a classic control system. |

The 360's not doomed because of loosing exclusive titles, it's doomed because it's a defective red-ringed piece of cuntwaffles made by a company everyone professes to abhor (yet still buy from), and because it doesn't offer anything special above and beyond simply being a console and not a PC. Wii and DS will outlast all other consoles, as Nintendo systems always have, because they AREN'T just like all the other systems. But PSX vs Dreamcast, PS2 vs XBox, and PS3 vs 360 all came down to a fight between near-identical systems. The idea is that an exclusive title may convince someone to buy one console over the other. The reality is that many true gamers buy both consoles, and that if someone truly does not like a system (I for one hate Xbox/360), no exclusive title will convince them to shell out for a system just for one or two games. As for Dead Rising. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1615 Joined: 16 Jan 2008 | IF they do it right. I'm dearly trying not to get too excited, but the Wii has such potential for Dead rising... bowl the bowling ball, swing the baseball bat. If they can manage to get the proper movement for each item it'll make the whole game so much cooler. Although, being a 360 fanboy ( \o/ ), apparently I can't look forward to it. I don't even have a Wii, I'll have to invade mate's to play it. This is the second thread with 360-fan paranoia I've seen recently... |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2110 Joined: 23 Feb 2008 | I'm hoping it's a little easier to aim a gun in this port since last time it was frustratingly hard. Shouldn't be that difficult to do with the wii's motion sensing device. |
Paperboy Posts: 35 Joined: 15 Jul 2008 | the game was bad on 360 and will be worse on wii. it was a great idea, but horribly executed |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1521 Joined: 5 Jul 2008 | I might consider giving the game another chance so long as the Wii version will have new content and that Capcom seriously reconsiders the save system in the game. The system the game has now is horrible, plain and simple. Multiple save slots are a must. |

Actually, I'm moreso hoping on just the classic controller functionality. I find the Wiimote to be too gimmicky and more of a hindrance than a benefit on most games, it's better when at least the nunchuck works with it, but I find I use the classic controller most often. ESPECIALLY in Kart and Brawl... The "wheel" use in MarioKart is such a disadvantage, you'd be better off in the game by slapping your penis against the sensor bar. |

See link here:http://darkzero.co.uk/game-news/dead-rising-coming-to-wii/ Seems like an odd choice to me, but it's good that the Wii will be getting a real game in the near future. Wonder if the fanboy's will all start crying about how the 360 is doomed because it lost this exclusive etc......
