Though if they added in for instead of 4, idiots wouldn't get confused over what it means.

The 4 holds two meanings, the word for and the number 4. Its not that bad, besides who cares as long as the game is good.

Seriously though this thread is pointless. More about Resident Evil 4's distinct 7/10 nature and why, why why no-one else notices that 5 or 6 colossi are but clones.

It is a bad title, certainly. It is also a decidedly average game.

However, the most unfortunate game title is Left Behind, an RTS themed on the Book of Revelations. Never has a game's title reflected its sales performance.

There have got to be worse titles out there, what about.... 50 Cent: Bulletproof? Or Work Time Fun (WTF) for the psp? Or Michael Jacksons Moonwalker? I got a million of these.

Firstly, who cares - I don't see anyone complaining about the irrelevance of half-life, yes most of us know what a half-life is in chemistry, biology etc., but it doesn't really bear much relevance to the plot as a whole does it? Doesn't change the fact that HL and L4D are both golden gems of awesome gaming...in other words; it doesn't matter.

Unless you consider sales the measure of a good game, in which case in will almost inevitably be amazing, not because it deserves success, but because of the infuriatingly popular chavalicious licence. Woot with sarcasm syrup.

2. L4D is a golden gem of awesome gaming? Your blind valve fanboyism makes bungie fanboys look tolerant. You cannot rate any game when all you have seen is previews,screenshots etc.

I just thought it was weird he gave bio and chem as examples which are the to subjects id least associate with half lifes.

I know I may be pounced and gagged for this, but i thought that the demo for "Left 4 Dead" looked like utter crap. Maybe it was just the PC they used it on, but the environments looked terrible, the weapons had no defining range or power, weird animataions like the melee, and there could be 15 zombies on to you and you would still only lose 20 or 30 health.

Again, it might have just been a beta or the PC they used it on, but you PC and 360 guys can keep it. Sorry, i just really had to get it out of my body system.

And after a while of saying "Left 4 Dead" it doesn't sound right, like when you say "bull" or "breakfast" it doesn't really sould like a word anymore. The same thing happend with "Left 4/For Dead" it doesn't sound right. Anyone remember "Awesome Possum Kicks Mr Muchacho's Butt!!"? Sounds like the crappiest title i've heard.

EDIT: Yes, "Wild Woody" is also a great title.
