Recently i heard there is a kingdom hearts 3 in the works.
And lets face it I fucking loved the kingdom heart series (probably because i have the mental age of a 5 year old).
but i want to know your thoughts.
Are you excited. could you not give a shit. or do you think that the same game should not be remade over and over again *cough* NINTENDO *cough*

This is Disney and Square Enix we are talking about, both companies are known for making sequels whenever something does well to milk it for all its worth, yes there will be a Kingdom Hearts 3 and at least 1 DS game to go along with it. Actually im looking forward to KH3 mainly because I enjoyed the first two games and im curious to see if they can get the story going again without using new main characters. Then again they probably will anyway since Halley Joel Osmand probably wont be able to do the voice of Sora anymore and they are not allowed to find a different voice actor for Sora.

I actually am a huge KH fan and am wondering where the story can go. Considering the tale of Sora, Riku, and Karie is pretty much done.

The games in development currently are a prequel (PSP game) and a light shiner (DS game), just like Chain of Memories more expanding on the universe but neither are progressing the story any further.

Don't know about KH 3, if it happens though, its a long while off (considering Squares current line up is stretching into mid 2009.

Doesnt anyone else think that they just may run out of disney movies.
What new Characters would you like to see in the new KH?

Me well i havnt finished KH2 yet due to the fact i dont own it.

But i would like to see the Toy Story World and was the Lion King done? I cant remember.

Lion King was done for Kingdom Hearts 2 (almost in Little Mermaid fashion to the first one), and Toy Story has yet to be touched.

I'd like to see more of the Pixar stuff included, Monsters Inc. or Wall-E would be quite nice to see if KH 3 comes along.

Lion King was done. But I'd like to see some newer disney movies, maybe monsters inc, wally, robots, newer stuff.

The PSP game follows the story of those three knights seen in the ultra secret ending to KH2.

Hehe I remember KH, I played all of them. But now that I'm in high school and when I just finished KH 2, I thought "Am I really the person who plays KH?" Though I'm embarrassed to admit it but all the games where awesome. :D
Sigh* but I loved every second of it, except KH 2, it was a little slow and seemed less immense then KH, but still awesome.

I kinda remember the ending to KH 2 and am curious to see where the story and characters go. Loved the story/characters and game play, but since I doubt KH 3 will be on Xbox 360 I guess I'll learn what happens in wiki.

I'm writing a KH fanfic in which the consortium of Disney villains (led by Maleficent, not Xehanort) turn out to be the Senior Partners of Wolfram & Hart (and after a good night's sleep, when my brain works properly due to not having been awake for 18 hours, I'll probably regret telling you lot that).

As for KHIII, they've already beaten Xehanort's heartless and his nobody, so not much left on that front. My guess is they work in some new main characters too, to fight new super-villains. Or maybe they'll just stick with Maleficent and Pete, and not insert any new baddies as the final boss. But I doubt it.

Kingdom hearts was a great game, theirs nothing childish about it, the only ones who seem to think so are the people here "admitting" they enjoyed it. The games have been given great reviews, had dept, and a unique concept, I've seen worse things in this word to admit to then loving the glory that is an ass-kickin Micky mouse.

As for Kh3........in all honest I doubt its coming any time soon, the new ds/psp games are basically filling in some gaps left previously. If they ever get aroudn to making a third game it will either be irrelevant and regarded with the series like the new Indiana Jones movie "which I loved but most refuse to count as a true blue indi movie" ooorrrrrr it will be so repaved with new characters and concepts and what not that it'll be unrecognizable as a kh game.

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game of all time (even though I was a kid when I first played it) Kingdon Hearts II was also great!! And I hope with every fiber of my being that they make a Kingdom Hearts III, I might just have to kill someone if they don't ;)

Birth By Sleep refers to the PSP prequel, also carrying the same title as the game "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep". KH 3 has no confirmed setting or even announcement that it will happen.

Kingdom hearts is the only franchise Disney has worked on that actually manages to merge adult themes with their characters. This alone kept me entertained with the first one.

Yes, I remember discussing that elsewhere. The big theory is this: As was mentioned in the games, a person is made up of a body, a heart, and a soul. The heartless take the hearts, and the nobodies are the bodies, so that third symbol must represent the soul.

I remember that secret ending in KH2 .. GIANT FIELD OF KEYBLADES. I guess that's where they all went when I didn't use them anymore. I'm pretty excited about Birth by Sleep since I'm confused to all heck as to what those three keyblade kids are about ("Ven" who looks like Roxas, "Terra" who looks like Squall and Zack, and "Aqua" Who .. surprisingly doesn't look like anyone) plus that creepy Xehanort looking dude ..

.. and I will admit that i am very happy about the Organization XIII game. *sheepish* I just really want to play as Marluxia, if it'll let me. Or WITH Marluxia.

As for disney worlds, they've got a lot more than just the classics they could go through, if that's what they decided to do. Someone up there mentioned Toy Story and now I too can't get Buzz Lightyear helping out. It'd be like that whole "flying" thing he did in Andy's room being the limit with Sora. *dorks out* They could also use final fantasy worlds, but then again, with the final fantasy charas all being from one place in KH (radiant garden) that theory's pretty much thrown out the window.

the one for the psp takes place ten years before the first kingdom hearts, and stars ven, or vent, I dont know its its spelled, but he looks like roxas, and the game will explain that, and how the keyblade master is chosen throughout the years.

can wait for this to come out don't think there is a set date yet but oh well plus disney has pixar now so more levels so who knows where its going to go with the story

I hope to god that it not only has more Disney ccharchters, but also some charachters from lets say, nintendo, or something thats actually cool, like Marcus or Dom from "Gears of War".

P.S. Don't want any more damn FF charachters because I hate FF and most Japanese media in general(However there are exeptions).
