Although not an angry person by nature there have been times when I have slammed the mouse or thrown a joypad. What games have been the major culprits for gamer rage in your experience.

I would have to go with CHampionship Manager (Not very well known in america) as it brought the pain of losing at a computer game and seeing your team blow the league to your rivals in a last minute goal of the last game of the season.

Others I would say would be some of the original Tomb Raiders where you fell off a ledge and had to do the same bit for the 25th time.

The only game wherei have broken a controller was a Grand Turismo game. You had to do a two hour race in which I was leading from half an hour in to the last corner then spun out

Getting killed repeatedly without having a chance to respond, or dying at the hands of cheap tactics/lag.

My computer's current affliction of crashing 15 to 20 minutes into a game of TF2 for the last week has inspired endless rage.

It's little wonder that my mouse has been on the fritz as a result.

on gta4 online on free roam, when you're trying to do something funny or cool, and some douchefag keeps shooting you just to get kills, even though there's no score on free roam. gta4 should be strictly for the lulz. fuck off and play counter strike if you want to get competetive.

The only time I get Gamer rage is when playing team based games online and team mates get replaced by Muppets. Who refuse to communicate or in any way work together.

Eg: Playing Day of Defeat and helpfully pointing out that a house has an Mg in one window and a sniper in the other, would someone with a bazooka, rifle or smoke kindly lend assistance as my Tommy gun won't be effective from this range. Also, don't stay in the open.
The unanimous response from team mates is STFU NOOB as they blindly rush forward, get turned into confetti or treated to free high velocity dentistry.
Then they complain nobody told them about the campers...

...grrrrr...

Things like racist abuse, spamming, hacks and such don't bother me. I let them bother my friends Mr Kick and The Good Lady Ban instead.

its other players tht get me angry, the majority are great fun and just enjoy the game, but there are some tht take it too far

i was playing Garrys Mod one night, i wanst having a very good time of it and was getting my ass handed to me about 3 seconds after every respawn, this went on for over an hour, i was hell bent on killing him at least once even tho the score was like 23-0 to him, eventually i managed to take him out with a grenade...

he called me a "Cheating N***er" and left lol

BTW i'm a Scottish white boy lol

Guitar Hero 2 on hard. They say that practice makes perfect, to them I say:

Fuck off and ram a guitar shaped controller up tour ass.

Sideways.

Honestly, it really is beyond my meagre ability.

Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness

The whole game was an exercise in frustration, but the one sequence I will never forget is where you had to guide Lara across a series of stone platforms some of which would give way a few seconds after you landed on it. This would have been bad enough, but the fact that the rubbish control system meant you would either over shoot or fall short 9/10 times nearly reduced me to tears.

You'd hate to play with me then. I literally threw my mic away because I got so fed up with people bugging me to use it. It's simply not necessary for the games I was playing.

If it's not necessary then fine. It's games like TF2 or DoD where you have to work together to win that get's me.

I admit have game rage. I will get very competetive sometimes and I get down right pissed when eople get the gayest kills or use the cheapest tactics on me. The amount of frustration builds up but I scream at my computer than over my mic. only time i use my mic to express my rage is in my server against retards and cheaters, then they get a swift kick for being assholes or cheaters.

Playing Guild Wars can bring on its own frustration. Forming groups with random players to do certain missions or quests isn't recommended, because none of them seem to know how to play the game properly, and can't seem to understand that I've done most of the stuff countless times before, and that I can guide them through the easy, safe way. They choose to ignore me and do things the hard way (because they don't know what they're doing), getting us killed/failing our objective.

I'd rather just play with computer-controlled players, because at least they follow me closely, I have decent control over them, and they do things right (most of the time).

Demon Stone. Fucking no. I made a hole in my wall from the frustrations of the last 3-4 levels in that fucking game.

Grenade of Duty 4 gets me pretty pissed, more so when I know it's my own teams martyrdom that I have to end up running away from.

Getting interrupted while gaming online makes me pretty mad, for some reason. Single player, I'm cool. Also, if you are playing a deathmatch game, I don't care if you have a mic or not. If you are playing objective based anything, get a damn mic. The Xbox comes with one and PC mics are pretty cheap. A really good one came with my mobo and my headsets have one as well.

Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2

TEAM Fortress 2

That is all.

No game has ever given me as much rage as Burnout Paradise. 10 feet from the finish line in first place when a noncompeting npc car is crossing an intersection and hits you, making you lose the race.

Getting spawn killed in CoD4, especially when it's not the person's fault, like when it spawns me in the middle of a firefight or where I just died.

The Krogan Battlemaster on Therum on Insane in Mass Effect. He melees me once and I die. If his geth are still around, he'll stay back and rarely shoot, but the geth get so annoying you have to kill them. Once they're gone, he rushes foreword and melees each member of my party while we shoot him with what might as well be toy guns. It also doesn't help how many conversations you have to go through between the last time you can save and the fight.

I never get angry enough to shit a brick and then precede to throw said brick at my television screen. I take anything a game has to throw at me. Bad graphics, awkward controls, ridiculous AI, I deal with it and soldier through a game. Although, my friends...

I bought Brawl, and I played it a fair amount, and got pretty good at it. A friend came over, and after a 12-1 match (my favor) he got angry enough to chuck the controller at me. I dodged, and a fight ensued. Needless to say, it was the most violent confrontation that came from a video game that I had ever experienced.

EDIT: Nice avatar, Hopkins!

Halo 3 if I am on a killing spree of 15+ I get very angry when I die I normally dont get more than three more kills for the rest of the match

Or Oblivion when I am raiding a ruin and a giant ball flies from the sky and implats into my face leading to my sudden death

Even better GTA when I am running from the police and a car runs me over and the police place 50 clips in my dopey ass.

Forgetting to save and then dieing about an hour later.

I cannot count how many times that happened to me in KOTOR. Heck, it seems to happen to me in every Bioware game.

Wierd.

PUGs are just terrible nowadays, if you can find them at all.
Hero/Hench is basically the only real practical way you can do PvE, or you'd have to be in a pretty damn good guild.

As for PvP... ever done Heroes' Ascent? You waste over 2 hours trying to get a full party that can run a cookie cutter build, 6 out of the 8 people in your team have no clue on how to play their build properly, thus making you lose in the preliminary or first round... upon which at least 2 people quickly leave the group, after shouting that oh so typical 'NOOBZ'.

Or, again, you might have the luck of being in a good guild and avoid all that crap.

I have to say the game that really annoyed me was my copy of soul caliber 2...after it broke.
It kept on crashing at the character selection screen and I got so annoyed with the damn thing I ended up throwing the disc(and my controller) out the window.

People who use the god damn SVD Sniper Rifle in MGO, IT'S NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE YOU RETARDS! NEITHER IS THE OTHER AUTOMATIC SNIPER RIFLE!

I repeatedly threw my controller to the floor in frustration as for the umptienth time, somebody with a god damned SVD kills me with a headshot while I was aiming for the persons head the entire time (trust me, I know, I keep my eye on the reticle the whole time).

If to talk about rage, caused only by video games, then I have kinda two different "rages" and all of them are caused only by Team Fortress 2 lately. First happens when someone starts to show off during playing, something like "I pwn 3vr3zing and ur n00bz" by mic or ingame chat. Then I just turn on my mic and say something like "buddy, would you kindly shut your mouth?" but a bit more violently. Funny, but usually it works fine and person chills out )
The second "rage" happens when my team sucks at playing and I get repeatedly killed because of someone's else stupidity. For example, I got burned by Pyro and run to the Doctor to get healed, and medic just shoots his syringe gun and watching me dying right in front of him. In such moments I really wanna kill somebody. For real, with my bare hands. Once, in anger, I hitted the table with mouse (controller ofcourse) and it stopped working. Then I hitted it another time and it started working again. From that day I do all I can to control the anger.
