It took me two hours to get a perfect one minute run of that level. It is pretty damn tough. |

Super powerful near automatic shotgun that kills in two hits. and the only way to harm him is (ignoring the whole bullet through the unprotected skull idea that has worked on everyone else in the game) to use dynamite bows to detonate vents in the floor that shoot out green gas. You need to hit him with these blasts about fifteen times, and unlike in the previous difficulties he now has a tendency to run away so he wont get hurt, and will fire his (super accurate) shotgun back at you. |

I only started playing 2 days ago, after all. But yeah, it counts as the final boss I haven't beaten. Yet, obviously. Also, King Dedede in Kirby's Dreamland. Hard mode, of course. Hell, I revisited the game recently and was killed by Hard Mode Whispy Woods. I'm amazed I even managed to get UP TO Dedede in hard as a 12 year old. |

forget about it ifyou're not playing coop. The game I hate with passion is Batman Returns for the "portable" console Atary Lynx. in fact I never arrived to the final boss in the second level (Catwoman). |

I thouht his "final" boss form was a lot easier than when you fight him earlier when he hops in the huge statue before you have a chance to get to him and fists you in the ass. However, kick it old school. Mike Tyson from Mike Tyson's punch out. I could get to him, but I could never beat him. Haven't tried it in forever though. |
Paperboy Posts: 11 Joined: 24 Apr 2008 | The final Boss of Baldurs Gate 2, Throne of Bhaal. On her own, my team could have kicked her arse to next sunday... but add the fact she summons up about 8 of the hardest bastards in the game the moment you begin, and it beomes a hand-wringing challenge. Then add the fact that you have to do it about four times without resting, and intermittently killing a bunch of elemental princes... no... no I don't think so. I got through the first couple of rounds by abusing the "Greater Wish" spell to revive my dead party members (i.e. most of them) and re-learn all of my spells, but no. No matter how many times I hit quick-save and quick-load, the outcome was invariably the same. Screw you bitch, I didn't want the throne that much anyway. You can have it. |

Haven't beaten her yet by 'normal means'. The way to block her retarded 'WARNING' attack, is to use faultless defense. I HAVE beaten her, twice. With Millia Rage, and with Chipp, my main. Even then, it's a huge pain to get the instant kill off with Chipp (who is such a bad match-up against Axl, who's always the last in line, right before I-No) Tekken Dark Resurrection also has such a lame boss. Beaten him multiple times, because the game is just like that, really. Get in a hit, and odds that you'll win are big. Get hit first, you're boned. Also, the final boss in Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. His first phase is piss easy, the second, not so. Needless to say, Guitar Hero bosses are also a pain.
If you have played GS1 as well, and brought over the characters, you'll have a pretty easy time (though it can still take up to 20-30 minutes). Just put all djinni on your backline to set (and make sure you have the Iris summon), and set all djinni except 2 (out of 3) to 'active' (or w/e it's called... just make sure you can use it). Have 2 people in your frontline just constantly use and set their damage lowering djinni, whilst the other 2 keep attacking (Meggido on Isaac, wewt) and occasionally healing whenever needed. After a while, the dragon will use the djinni resetting spell, and soon your frontline party should die. Then, immediatly use Iris (and the 3rd damage mitigation djinn so whoever summons it won't die again), and deal as much damage as possible on the dragon as you can (before they die). When that happens, you'll switch back to your revived 'main party', and within a few more attacks, he'll die. If you don't have GS1... ouch. Apparantly you can still get one djinn from GS1 by doing some extra temple in GS2, I'd get Flash there (party will take 1/10 damage when he's used in the turn) |

At least that's how the PSone games were. I can't remember a boss recently I gave up on. The Witcher has some hard ass bosses and I beat Cave Story, but gave up on the bonus dungeon, if that counts. |

Press Junketeer Posts: 430 Joined: 11 Jan 2008 | Mostly bosses from rental titles, but though I never played Lunar 1, if he's anything like Zophar in Lunar 2 anyone who complains about either of them is justified. 1st phase is pretty simple, but it's obvious he's got to have more than that. 2nd phase always kills me; Not only must you sit through tons of dialogue while an invincible Zophar pounds on you and you can do nothing but heal, after the real fight starts it's not much different. He has 1 head and 4 hands, each with their own powerful attacks and more HP than the 1st form apiece. Some FAQs I read suggested a suicide run at the head but that never seemed to work since the hands prevent physical strikes on it besides Poe Sword and some of Leo's stuff. He also gets 2 different insta-kill attacks, one of which is only used after 10 rounds or so (the laughter). Either way, there's not much you can do if he insta-kills Ronfar enough times so you run out of revive items (to be fair, I was only Level 56 and didn't have the items to grind any higher so maybe being Level 60+ helps). I only ever managed to kill 2 of the hands at best before either running out of revives or simply getting overwhelmed by all the damage. Great music though. Apparently he actually has a 3rd phase you fight with just Hiro and Lucia as well, which is equally difficult. |

On the Record Posts: 5966 Joined: 7 Feb 2008 | EGG in SaGa Frontier 2, often considered the hardest Traditional RPG End Boss ever... because he's nearly impossible to beat. He has 7 or so Suplimentary Bosses, each of which you can defeat before hand to make him easier... the catch is, each of these fights knocks out one of your characters, sometimes the powerful ones you REALLY need to fight the EGG proper and even after you beat all 7 of these, he's STILL REALLY POWERFUL! |
Copy Clerk Posts: 114 Joined: 3 Apr 2008 | The final boss from Donkey Kong 64, on paper it sounds very easy - get all the stupid monkeys to jump into cannons and fire themselves at the boss, however the only thing that ended up being fired was the game cartridge at the wall after being ripped out of the console. There are several 'mysterious' holes in my bedroom walls. And we never completed it. =[ |

OMG I never beat that game because I couldn't beat the original Donkey Kong you had to play to get the coins. :( I suck at those kind of games. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 90 Joined: 15 Dec 2007 | Okay, for the guys having trouble with Half-Life, you need to stop him from regenerating (it's not hard, so I won't say how) then get above him and blow his brains out (preferably with a non-guided shot from the rocket-launcher - the laser throws off your aim and anyway it's more stylish). Now, final bosses I couldn't beat... That guy from Wolfchild (embarrassing, I saw someone PUNCH him to death on Youtube); The last level of Aquanox (I could take out both bosses, as much as was possible, but those EFFing giant fish that attack the convoys that kept winning out - oh, my kingdom for a quicksave!). Can't think of any others. |

Never managed to beat the first form of the final boss in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Gave it a few tried then gave up, and eventually traded the game in. I saw screens of the last form or whatever and it looked awesome, and I'm pissed that I never got to actually see it.
