I'm having a bit of a problem justifying spending copious amounts of money on games. I end up renting the game 2 or 3 times then taking it back because I get bored. There ARE games I want to buy:

1)Too Human
2)Halo 3 (I'm gonna die for this...)
3)Mass Effect

I've rented all of these ('Cept too human, of course), but I just can't bring myself to spend the money for them, even used... Is there something wrong with me?!?

No, there is not. I find myself being careful as well when it comes to buying games.

Nope. Financial responsibility is a beautiful thing, and while possessing it may be scary and confusing, you will be glad throughout your life for this wondrous gift.

No, you just dont care for them enough as a solid investment. I want some games, but wait for them to get cheaper.

I want Mass Effect for PC, but I know the PC market and I know I can wait until it's in the $20~ price range and snag a copy :)

I'm not that tempted to buy Rock Band 2 because i'm just gonna be called a fanboy for spending that much money.

i have a summer job, and i'm making enough money to have to pay taxes :(
so i'm waiting until that's settled before i go dollarcrazy . i DID buy a ps3 and mgs 4 with my first check though ^_^

I feel your pain. I got Mass Effect on the cheap for $20, but right now I'm stuck between he following:

Force Unleashed
Fallout 3
Fable 2
Too Human
Dead Space

I can only buy two of the above this year due to gas prices (good job but I drive an 80 mile commute each day), so I may have to wait to get them on the cheap.

Damn I'd love rock band, or the sequel, but I just cant justify paying the price of a damn Xbox 360 on one game, even if it comes with fun controllers.

I DO have guitar hero, but there was a lotta consideration before I'd pay the extra £20 over the price of a new game.

@all: Thanks for everyone that showed me I wasn't the only one who does this!

With the quality of games nowadays I just wait till my birthday or christmas and have people guy me games.
