Awwh, I love the cheats. Because I only play it for the fun of causing chaos. The only time I've ever done a mission is when I'm forced to, to progress. And my wish would be, bring back the massive open landscapes, and airplanes! |

Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 25 Dec 2008 | Well,if it doesn't succeed and becomes a gritty/shitty realistic unfunny game,you can always do a mod :D |

Yes we do. From what I've heard, SR2 is great fun and everything GTAIV should have been. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 911 Joined: 20 Jun 2008 | How about they have a good ending for the next one. The ending for GTA4 was such a fucking ball slap I'm never going to playing again, in fact I'm going to try and sell it to some power sucker. |

My idea is it should be in the middle of america on the border to mexico, it could be a rip off of texas or somewhere south. Dallas as the biggest city, a lot of small towns, and some cities in mexico too. Controversial themes should include politics, immgration across the borders, smuggling of drugs/people, mexican drugcartels, yakuza, nationalism, extreme right religious nuts, government conspiracies, the military, cia, terrorists, poverty and american foreign policy. The main antagonist is a desillusioned marine returning from the war in iraq starting to do dirty jobs for a ruthless oil mogul. The whole setting should be a crazy caricature on an america divided in two. As for practical gameplay, there should be a ton of missions all the time. Moral choices must be made all the time. Less socializing, at least not as it was in GTA4. A zombie outbreak sometime during the game is an amazing idea. It could be part of a secret government population control experiment gone wrong. Actually it should become a big part of the main story. Bring back the crazyness! |
Paperboy Posts: 45 Joined: 30 Dec 2008 | I have honestly (ludicrously) always wanted a Superhero. I'm talking one vigilante bad-mama-jammer, who can't really be killed, but maybe who could be slightly hurt or slowed down... who either flies through the city, or bounces up and down building walls, but who... most importantly... has a car. A really cool superhero car. And that you can steal his car. And he will randomly pop up and try and fight you (with super strength) and get the car back. I always thought that would be awesome. Hey. GTA went totally real this time. Maybe next we'll get some silly again. - B |

This for christ's sake. I want my accurate depiction of Britain and I want to be gattin' chavs NAO! I think the devs of The Getaway did a very compelling story, much better than Rockstar could ever do, to the point where what I really want is 'The Getaway with better controls'. I even liked the idea of how you had to heal. Or better yet perhaps Volition should do a GTA 60's-70's style game, because they would do it far better and in a far more comic way (which I think would be fitting). GOD why did Rockstar have to ride the populace train and keep the settings gritty and realistic? They could have done something interesting with the IP(actually this reminds me of an overthinker/moviebob episode http://gameoverthinker.blogspot.com/2008/07/episode-ten-not-review-of-gta-iv.html ) And while we are at it how about they stop bumming the aspect of ultra gritty realism? Where GTA Cuba at? GTA chicago? (30s) |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2226 Joined: 5 Jan 2009 | they need to make the hand to hand fighting at least semi-functional, and it would be cool if they did a CoD type of story line that you switch between playing the usual lowlife thug and playing as a cop who has to stop the thugs. Experience both sides of the law. |

I Agree. |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 537 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Being able to have a little more freedom in how you do your mission. Like in far cry. Also make missions that makes you think a little more about how youre going to to it (again, far cry). Its pretty grating when the game tells you right away that youre supposed to shoot the tv- satellite dish to distract the enemy from the tv. |

The talk stations definately need more variety. It's the first thing I listen to in game and it soon gets old, especially if the music sucks. No reason why they can't update them with FREE!! DLC. |

Thst would be GREAT!!! people would have more sense there would be diferent plots, sttings, different cars. Things would be great!!!!!!!! Another great feture would being able to pick whether your a male or female because then they could go a different direction in each but make them tie together so either way you make them interact |

Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 851 Joined: 30 Jul 2008 | More stylistic, take a leaf from Max Payne. Less realism, more fun. More crazy missions, less car chase drive-by cop killings. |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 571 Joined: 22 Apr 2008 | - Make your own character. That's basically it, it's a damned fun game already, just finetune it. |
Beat Writer Posts: 190 Joined: 13 Dec 2007 | I think you can keep the seriousness of GTA4 but have in all the extra customization features without ruining it. There were some great missions in GTA4 but not as many great ones as there were previously. I also think they should build their own city rather than copy a lot from New York, and they can make it really special. Bring back the aeroplanes, tanks, flamethrowers etc, and bring back the custom features, i'm not saying go as far as Saints Row 2 did, but certainly more like San Andreas. |

Well I am American, I totally agree, but you totally missed out on the point of it being in such a futuristic city like Tokyo. Just think of the cars, guns, AI pushing you into the trains(no joke). |

Bring back the wackiness. Keep the improved controls but include plenty of cheats, many more wacky vehicles, a lot more wacky weapons (bring back the dildo as a melee weapon!), a much larger and more diverse setting, a faster pace/build up, the ability to car surf, more easter eggs, an online mode that actually works, more checkpoints, TANKS, more exciting and less repetitive missions and generally bring back the wackiness that made the 6th gen trilogy so great!
