Personally that spike tower climb in God of war was friggen annoying.
The high disconnection rate in hellgate is also ridiculous

In Soul Calibur 4, when I'm arcade or story mode, I hate when the opponent has like, 1 hit, but they block your attack, countering with a Ring-out. p(-.-)z

"Japanese Perfectionist Games," i.e. games with a completion rate tracker that have special rewards. Most of these seem to be Japanese, hence the title. I don't mean things like 360 achievements, things like Metroid Prime.

Moving anyone who can't handle a gun from A to B in Dead Rising. It's like trying to lead a group of manic depressives through a cyanide and noose factory.

Nothing more frustrating than losing connection in an online game long enough to get yourself killed.

Otogi 2, that damn level where you have to escort Raikoh's shadow through the River of Souls. Haven't sworn at a game since Dead or Alive 4

Ninja gaiden- when 100000000000000 Ultra ninjas attack you with 10000000000000000 exploding shurikens before you can swing your katana

Devil May Cry 3 - I got to the last level on Dante Must Die mode (I don't know how I did it, luck I think) and I just can't do it...

The red baron mission on GTA SA, when you pilot a model plane and kill people with a fuel limit. I just whiped out all of your competition, Zero, so what if there wasn't enough fuel to make it back, we'll just go pick it up. Also, screwing something small up on Hitman when everything else has been executed perfectly and blowing everything.

EDIT: Forgot Battletoads!!!! That god-f*cking-damned driving level.

I read the title of this thread and thought: "EASY, Ninja Gaiden is the most frustrating game ever"
When I read the first post I just had to laugh. :D

Beating Super Ghouls & Ghosts on the SNES because after that they send you back to the first level 'cause they thought it was a swell idea to make you beat the game again and force you to use the crappiest weapon ever on the final boss. The ending was pretty cool at least.

I just had one with Twilight Princess with the escort section where you take Ilia and big tits McGhee to Kakariko Village with them in a horse drawn carriage and me fending off three archers on horseback, while trying to prevent the cart from being set on fire while also trying to kill all those damn bird things that drop bombs and change the direction of the cart.

It only took me two trys, but just the fact that the worst part of the game is yet again an escort mission pissed me off. Why do developers insist on making me escort dumbasses to places, Why couldn't the bitch just use her own eyes and avoid those bloody bombs?

General [-bleeeeeep!-] RAAM in Gears of War. Not only is the fight not terribly fun, and not only is it remarkably tougher than the rest of the game, but you've also got that [-bleeeep!-]ing cutscene after the checkpoint but before the fight. Man, that dialog gets annoying after a while even when I do skip it.

I can pretty much ace the rest of the game on Insane, but RAAM... grrr...

There was a level in Xenogears where the characters needed to jump on platforms to get to the next portion of the game that were really exercises in controller breaking frustration. You had to land just right or else you fall down to the last part of the stage. The camera did not coporate in this.

The nightmare level in Max Payne where you have to walk across the trail of blood in a dark room, and if you make a slight misstep, you fall to your death and have to retry. My buddies and I went ****in' crazy over that mission. it haunts me still...

Probably the only frustrating moment of a game that I haven't been able to circumvent eventually that isn't a final boss is St. Germain from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. You simply don't have enough antidotes for all of the times he poisons you, and that self-healing and time-stopping thing gets really effing annoying, even when you have the Innocent Devil that is supposed to counter it.

When I was a kid, I never could make that long jump in Super Mario Bros. level 8-1(i think).

Top Gun after like level 3 or 5, something like that.

It's kind of funny, I could go on, but all the moments for me happened back in the day. Not too many challenging games any more it seems.

The TV-station level in CoD4 after a million tries on Veteran, there's always something

That or the little mistake that ruins a perfect assassination in Hitman

I remember one part in Okami where you had to cross a river by cutting logs or some such thing. I believe I woke up the entire neighborhood with my copious strings of expletives.

Beating Freya on Guitar hero II on hard when i was a kid was so difficult that it made me cry, partly from the wanker cramp i had after not giving up after 50 times but also because that was the first time a game seemed to laugh at my face telling me that i sucked :(

Aparently its virtually impossible on the ps2 version, slightly easier on the pc. ive come so close only to run out of fuel in sight of the building...gah! makes me want to throw the speccy git off the roof on to a pile of something sharp and jagged. or explosive.

That's the only game I could think of when I saw this post! Surely it has to go down as THE most frustrating part of any game! Why would they do that?! No, why would they ALLOW that?! I almost find it more shocking that I actually kept TRYING!

Speederbike courses in Battletoads

Seriously, that's not fun, even on an emulator. I just mashed Quicksave and Quickload a million times to get through it.

"Phins Get A Win" Madden moment

Josh McCown has a pus-arm and can't throw it accurately beyond 6 yards, Ronnie Brown is a decent back, but the offensive line sucks too bad to let him get much further than the line of scrimmage, and the receivers drop 50% of passes that I manage to get to them, and couple that with the fact that they only run their routes properly about half the time.
