Hello Peeps!

The GamerLympics is over and even though we had a great turn-out, there seemed to be quite a few members that consistently show up forums that DID NOT participate. So, I was wondering why? Was there events you would have liked to have seen? Didn't have enough time? You were captured by aliens for 2 weeks? I would love to get some feedback so the next one can try to encompass everyone for the next GamerLympics.

Thanks in advance! I look forward to chatting!

Too busy, alas. I posted when I was in the office, and thus away from photoshop and computers with Flash enabled. The rest of the time I was either on-the-go or too tired to do much more than browse.

Wish it'd been different on my end; looked like it was a lot of fun.

I was enjoying the ending of summer.

Also, I was too lazy to create another Kongregate account for myself :P

To be honest, It was just because when I tryed all the games you had listed for the 'lympics, they were all pathetically easy.

And although that is coming from somebody who beat IWBTG in less than a week, my point still applys.

It was simply not my cup of tea. Though I would've done the trivia one, except i didn't have the time at that point. Also not a big fan of registering at a site for a one time thing.

I saw something about the N-Gage, and thought that it sounded silly because of that.

Just for a little bit of feedback as well Spinwhiz, I just checked out the list of events, and to be honest I would have only participated in the trivia ones anyway. The comic/picture things are a good idea but I cant photoshop or draw to save my life. Not a big fan of the flash games either, they didn't look too enticing.

Would be awesome if it was possible to maybe organise a mini tournament or set of matches on Xbox live or PSN for some console games. Hell I'd even dig out some old PC games if there were events organised for some ones I had. I know this would require a LOT of organisation but if you or some of the other mods or more experienced members of the site would be feeling up to it, I'm sure it would be worth the time and effort.

I didn't participate because I thought I was too busy to actually stand a chance against anyone. xD Plus, I'm so green. I'm new here and didn't feel right jumping into a big event like the Olympics. I thought I should let people that had been here quite a bit longer do the competing.

Amazingly enough, PSN, Wii Ware and XBox Live were contacted by me personally. So, without getting into detail, we will contact them again in the future and perhaps we can work something out that will suit our community. Also, the idea has been brought up of an older type game that would make a good tournament. Very good stuff! Thanks a bunch!

Anyone else? Keep them coming! This is OUR community, so it is what you make it. I just implement it :)

Maybe a Gamerlympics that involved a little more actual playing of games. And not stupid browser ones, either.

I only have one internet capable game on my PS2(Star Wars BattleFront 2), and the few internet capable games on my laptop, I don't think anyone else still plays (Empire at War, C&C Tiberian Sun) or I have not played long enough to be comfortable with (Sins of a Solar Empire). And I also dislike browser games... Not sure why, just most don't hold my attention well enough.

I'm basically retarded when it comes to working with computers, so apon entering the Gamerlympics page, I had a cold moment and fled to the "Forum games and RP" section

I just wasn't interested, it's not something I looked into or even thought about after seeing news about it. Not my cup of tea as someone already said. I still don't even know what it actually was.

I wasn't sure who the whole thing worked and didn't feel the need to make the effort to get some badges to make me look better than everyone else.

Most of the events collided with working fulltime so there was no possible way for me to participate in any event. If I was in college then maybe but working retail or the standard 9-5 job where you are stuck at a specific location for 9+ hours a day(but only get paid for 7 or less) does not allow me the time to play the games.

I did not agree with the execution of the concept. When I think of a competition for gamers, I think playing online tournaments, and maybe one or two mental competitons. When I noticed that no games were going to be played, I decided not to try.

I know this is a bit off topic, but if you have a contact with the community manager at XBL, have you thought about gamerpics for this site? I know Screw Attack did something of the sort last year. It made them some money and let the XBL users express their undying love for their community. Anyway, sorry for getting off topic.

Edit: Plus, who wouldn't pay a dollar or two for ZP gamerpics?

I agree with Lt. Sera. It's just not really my cup of tea either. I've also been moving and getting all my stuff for my return to college though, so that didn't help much.

If you guys have GamerLympics next year I might check them out, but this year I guess I had other stuff going on (plus I'm still a relative newbie and didn't wanna step on any juggernaut's toes haha).

Well, hopefully this won't be too long winded, and of course I only speak for myself and not everone else, but:

1) I missed the initial explanation, so after missing the first day or two I lost immediate interest.

2) I didn't really understand it anyway. Once I did catch on that this was 'going on', I didn't see what was motivating me to particpate. I may be way off in left field, but I wasn't sure what was motivating me to particpate in this confusing thing. To earn a badge? Eh...

Would have loved to but (un)fortunately I have been sent all over the place with work the past couple of weeks so I couldn't dedicate time to it.

I was in Vancouver for a long weekend just as it started and I missed a couple of the events I thought I'd ace. After that I just kind of didn't bother.
