What was the best Bond game ever?

There have been many Bond games and I have played them all. From Golden Eye for the N64 to Everything or nothing. personally I prefer the games that are not based on flims. they just feel like there selling out and the game has to fit around the film. That is why my favourite game is 007 Nightfire. It had a good story line, the characters were new and innovative. One thing I loved about this game in particular was the rewards that you receive if you did something like 007 himself would do.
Yes other games are good but I would say this is the best 007 game yet.

It's clearly the Goldeneye Source mod.

Goldeneye on N64. No contest. But to be honest, they're all pretty mediocre, even Goldeneye. Seriously. I could not understand the hype at the time, and it has aged terribly.

I see what you mean they do seem to get worse as time goes on. But I have heard good things from E3 about Quantum of solace. so lets hope this is a fresh start for bond games.

Goldeneye 64, and nightfire is a very good second

It did age pretty poorly, but Goldeneye was just such a big deal at the time. Coming home from school with like 8 or 9 guys and constantly playing king of the hill was fun unmatched until Perfect Dark. And even Perfect Dark just felt like an improvement/expansion/sequel to Goldeneye, developed by the same company and mostly the same

I liked Nightfire, but I played it on PC and I think that might have been a mistake. Shooters always have to be held to higher standards on PC.

I remember really digging the level in Everything or Nothing where all the action took place as you were plummeting from the top of a very high cliff. You had to dodge obstacles while shooting other enemies that were falling alongside you. It was totally ridiculous, and totally freakin' sweet. That's all I remember about the game.

So probably GoldenEye.

I know the level your on about it was really stupid. If I was minimum wage grunt and a british secret agent and half the cliff side were falling towards me, I would not stand on my little wooden balcony next to some oil drums shooting at him. No, I would run for my life.

Goldeneye, hands down. Followed closely by Everything or Nothing.

the motor bike level in everything or nothing??!! Or even the very start where you are driving/crashing the porshe Cayenne...oooh that game had the most amazing levels of driving, and the overall gameplay with all the gadgets and guns was top notch as well. I would have to put that at the top of the Bond list for myself, followed by goldeneye, for making a game based on a movie good.

My vote goes to nightfire on the PC, simply for the online play and the great community.

EDIT: I just accidently reported myself.

Yeah... it's just that while that was going on, you also had the option of playing Quake 2 or Unreal on PC. I'll shut up now.

LOCAL MULTIPLAYER. Neither Quake 2 or Unreal ever let you have four players on one machine. Nor did they have the Siberian Special Forces.

b.o.t: Goldeneye 64 was/is the best. It's the only Bond game I've played that wasn't a massive disapointment. It also took every other console FPS of the time and shoved their chips down their collective throats.

Goleneye of course. I also like The World is Not Enough.

Nightfire (all formats) and maybe golden eye.

Goldeneye on N64 is my number one, but Everything or Nothing 3rd person is a very close second.

Nightfire is the best. I play nightfire all the time even with the rather stupid multiplayer AI but atleast it has AI unlike almost every FPS today. Decent weapons, could do with a weapon setup like agent under fire but after a couple of tries the random weapon sets get a good setup. I played Goldeneye at a friends house years ago and all I can remember is getting owned and saying the AK47 looked like a pencil.

I really like Everything or Nothing. Being as I didn't like FPSes when I had the chance to play Golden Eye. Come to think of it though I think my friend has it, and he would probably give it to me.

No question, Goldeneye. The best multiplayer game I've ever played until Halo. And it's still amazing to play through.

I know. whatever happened to multiplayer AI. its like all the other bits of games had meeting and AI bots turned up late and forgot to switch its phone off so now they're shund by everyone else.

No brainer: Goldeneye was and probably always will be the best.

Goldeneye, without a doubt.

i'll hope on the Golden gift Rareware gave us bandwagon here.

although i really hope Quantum can at least rattle the cage... but i could just be way to over the top optimistic here....

Goldeneye64, because i'm one of those people that suffer from 90's nostalgia

well daniel craig brought a new style of bond film mabey he will bring a new style of Bond game (wishful thinking)

Im Not Going To Say It 20 Other People Have Alreay Said It

everything or nothing, ridiculasly cool and extremely well made, the bike scene was just insane.

I thought Agent Under Fire was a reasonably good game.
My friends and I had some fun with the multiplayer mode.

Damn Photon Canon!

But... Goldeneye on N64 is still the best.

Well obviously Goldeneye is the best overall, so why don't we all at least mention what the second best would be? For me it's Everything or Nothing; a perfectly executed single player campaign with a huge amount of replay value, right down to completing every level on gold. Then again, you'd have to be insane to try some of the later levels for platinum.

I suppose Nightfire gets an honorable mention, purely based on how much time I wasted on the multiplayer.

I'm gonna go with Agent Under Fire. Me and my friend used to play that a ridiculous amount. It had loads of crazy options you could get on multiplayer, like turning the running speed way up and lowering the gravity so you could just jump from one side of the map to the other. Quite funny story just which proves how obsessed we were with it: We were playing it one day in a downstairs room in my house. My mum was upstairs cleaning in my bedroom. At the time, my bedroom door was faulty, so if you closed it you couldn't open it from the inside, you had to get someone else to come and open it from the outside. She ended up locking herself in my room by accident. She was banging on the floor and shouting but we couldn't hear her because the volume was so loud. Eventually, she climbed out of the window onto the roof, and started throwing hanging flower baskets outside the window of the room we were in to get our attention. But we had the curtain closed because the sun was reflecting on the screen. Eventually I looked outside and saw a load of broken flower pots and soil on the patio and was like WTFLOL then I went and got a ladder for her. The downside is that it was the day before my birthday, and while all this was going on the guy came to deliver my birthday present (a new skateboard), but of course we didn't hear him so I didn't have a present on my birthday :(

Goldeneye was awesome back in the day, although I remember Agent Under Fire having pretty good multiplayer though. Could just be my messed up memory, but I think they were about equal.

I really liked Rouge Agent. It was a twist on the series and funner than hell.

I'm not going to contribute anything with my message but, GoldenEye. Actually the only bond game I have played besides GoldenEye was From Russia With Love. It was pretty good for a Bond game.

I'd loved that game, an exagent goes bad gets a bionic eye which has MRI vision (ok that made some sense), a computer hack system, a sheild, and something magnetic which allows you to send enemys flying across the room. overall a good game. however the last level was repetitive and the time line made no sense what so ever it had villins from Dr.No to Scaramanga and at one point you Oddjob for no reason.
A good game but the writers could have done a better job.

Goldeneye 64.
