I like:

<---

Frank from Dead Rising! I like that he kind of cares about everything but can easily get side tracked. Also I tend to have more knowledge if I've got a book in my hands.

Tricky. I have yet to meet a videogame character with whom I can empathize.

Does anyone know of any philisophical geek art students with a penchant for gravy-drinking? Preferably enjoying metal? Enjoys fine food somewhat? Believes either all gods exist or no gods exist?

On second thought, I relate to that painter guy from Psychonauts, only I'm not so poetic. I just wish I could draw better.

A large majority of games generically make the protaganist and the back up characters male with brown tidy hair, posess no strong and meaningful emotions, have the charisma/ intelligence of a bucket full of shite and look like they have just came straight out of a body building competition.

When they start making games with a slightly strong, slightly lanky, slightly emo, slightly intelligent, pessimistic and depressed 15 year old who still plays pokemon because he can't get a girlfriend as characters then maybe I might begin to relate to them.

Well uhm...

I'm a bit depressed now because of Death Magnetic, but being as how I'm a white male with dark tidy hair with no strong meaningful emotions, and have the charisma and intelligence of a bucket full of dictionaries with tourettes...

I'm less "ripped" being a college kid with a passion for sedentary life choices, but I tend to be the one doing the heavy lifting when it comes to doing it. All of this considered, I guess I most relate to... Maxim from Lufia II? What do you think?

Fenix from _StarCraft_; he always struck me as the most light-hearted of the Protoss, with a unique kind of fortitude.

Old snake from MGS4, not cause I'm old, but just because of his attitude where he keeps doing what he has to do, even though he's tired of it all, because he knows it has to be done....hmmm sounds a bit dark really now i think about it.

Gordon Freeman; trapped in a futile fight against a series of events that he has no real control over. And constantly mouthing swear words behind peoples backs because they're all a bunch of twats.

Something about Final Fantasy 8's Squall made me relate to it when I was younger, maybe teen angst or something. That was the case eight years ago, but I have not found any character after that who could hold a candle to it.

Whatcha mean _because_ he can't get a girlfriend. I've had several girlfriends in the recent years, and I still play Pokémon a fair bit.

Back on topic, though, either Nanaki, FFVII, or whoever the hell leaves explosives positively f*cking everywhere on BF:BC. Bewm.

One of the most funny lines I have hearded in a game. Must be a fun job.

I think I most relate to, drumroll, my WoW character, if they count.

Prince of Persia in the Sands of Time series.

I was a naďve do-good boy at first, then turned into a complete twat, now I'm a mix of both, basically. Never gotten a girl though (and not expecting that either)

Its hard to say, but most of the time I relate by looks.
Maybe Gordon Freeman I guess, Im not a leader, Im sorta guided along but people still see me as the guy that sorta leads and when push comes to shove, I can wade in and handle most stuff that comes my way.

Psychonaughts. That game that nobody but me played before Zero Punctuation. I relate to most JRPG protagonists, because most people see me and just assume I'm emo without even bothering to get to know me.

I do believe he means "Gears of War" old fellow, it's so easy to get those 2 mixed up! I'm somewhere inbetween an angry, cold, used, inbittered Kain from Legacy of Kain (or Arthus they're SO similer) and a super-mega-happy Yuffie from ff when her sugar-train's come in and she's in the middle of an artificial high. Hope that narrows it down for you...

I used to hate Anomen from BG2. On the surface arrogant and vain, but nursing various fears beneath his thin veneer of pretentiousness.

Then I realised that was pretty much a male version of me. Come back, Anomen, I'll take you in my party now!
