Starcraft Ghost | |
That one Nippon Ichi game. Y'know, the one with the main character that was an unlockable chica in Makai Kingdoms.
The sequels to The Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. The trailers didn't look too shabby, but I guess I'll just have to cope with the fact that only one game out of a planned trilogy was made. Not a huge loss, they are only video games after all.
The rest of Shenmue. | |
My brother's obsessed with that series. I think he was contemplating suicide (figuratively of course) after realizing that there'll probably never be a third entry.
I second Eight Days, the story seemed quite good and so did the gameplay (If that was real gameplay anyway) that was the game that originally made me want a PS3. I also think Harker would have been pretty good, but I guess we'll never know now :P
Didn't it just mutate into Yakuza?
They actually stopped it cause there was no online. Thats one of the reasons I think inFAMOUS will have Online multiplayer (which, considering the game is about superheroes in an open world game, could be the most awesome thing ever)
There was an article here about a game wich takes place in World War 3 between American and China. It was going to show the horrors of war and be a realistic representation of conflict. I can't remember the name of it, but it looked really good.
Yakuza is more like a RPG.
The promised epic part of KotOR II. At least Team Gizka's working on it, I'll be first in line to download that mod.
The proper Paper Mario 3. No damn platform jumping on things head crap.
I would of course have said Beyond Good & Evil 2, but it seems that against all odds a sequel is happening after all. So...
inFAMOUS looks incredible so far, I need to get myself a blasted PS3, fucking Sony with their overpriced consoles >.<
Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about - wasn't David Jaffe, the guy in charge of the first God of War, involved? That did sound really cool. Another is an FPS they were going to make of Werewolf: The Apocalypse. If any of you have played any Vampire: The Masquerade games, it's in the same setting as those, except you're a werewolf. You can probably find screens if you look around online.
Tomb Raider on the Saturn ..... I'll go cry into my Sega t-shirt now. Damn Sony, never forgiven them (for making the 'better'/more whore-like console).
Werewolf: The Apocalypse The Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse
Starcraft Ghost looked great, I wish it came out. Van Buren as well, it looked a hellova lot better then the current Fallout 3.
Dungeon Keeper 3. going by the trailer that was on Dungeon Keeper 2 I really wanted it... Who can say no to going and slaughtering heroes above ground. xD
To End All Wars- people were very split on whether it was a good genre or not, but atleast it's not another freakin' WWII shooter! I also want to see the Splinter Cell movie promised in Chaos Theory become a reality (and not by the hand of Boll)
I was eagerly awaiting Starcraft Ghost. The gameplay vids that they released for it looked really good but they just kept on delaying and then cancelling (curses)
Goldeneye on XBLA? | |
Err... it did come out on Satur. I own it. It's pretty good.
Impossible Creatures II.
I feel for you... Other wise I'd say Oni 2 and BTW here is evidence that it wasn't just a game that I was hoping to have a sequal http://sttnw.blogspot.com/2007/10/18-canceled-games-you-never-knew.html
I second Dungeon Keeper 3 and Van Buren (Fallout 3). Hmm, I wonder how many more 3's I can think of...
Core's Tenth Anniversary Edition of "Tomb Raider." I liked CD's, but there was room in my heart to play both.
You mean on the Virtual Console.
Chrono Break... In Chrono Cross, though we learn what happened to Schala, we never get to learn what happened to her brother, leaving an epic and complicated storyline unfinished.
I'd have to agree with the Eight Days cancellation, I didn't think it looked so AmAzInG but it did look pretty cool. I know I could name a few more, but I can't remember. Oh well.
The Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness trilogy, I REALLY loved the AOD, it was the second best (next to the origonal). EIDOS, SACK CRYSTAL DYNAMICS.
Lord of the rings, the white council

Games like Duke Nukem Forever do not count, as they are merely forever delayed, but not outright canceled.
I personally thought Eight Days would have been quite decent - the destruction sequenece seemed quite well done, as did the exploding gasoline. The gameplay also seemed quite fluid.
And, in keeping with my massive doubts about this games safety, seeing as how it would be fitting if it were too awesome to survive - Brutal Legend.
