Keep in mind here people that we're playing with large teams of relatively new players and there's going to be some admins on board (i think) to make sure teams don't try anything that's completely bullshit.

I can sort of understand class limits, if only because mass amounts of certain classes can screw things over (lots of engies can do well with relativly no skill, though a big group of demo medics isn't gonna happen with a bunch of noobs, probably) but on the spot rules on what's fair and what's not?

You mean a set of glitches that occured six months ago and was patched five months ago? There aren't any of those left (except the scout-other class glitch, and that's completly random), and I know Decoy has played TF2 within the past day, so I don't think that's what he meant.

Not specifically, no. But games are software, software always has bugs no matter how long you spend fixing them, and some bugs let you cheat. And even if there are no bugs you can still be really annoying (get in the way, don't help your team at all, make annoying noises on voicechat, etc).

You can still be an annoying jerk over the microphone. Someone was doing that in a game I was in just yesterday. It's kind of a hard thing to regulate. And nothing can stop you from building teleporters to stupid or deadly places, jumping around in front of your team's snipers to distract them, carrying the intel back into the enemy base, or just being an unhelpful dolt.

Only active human intelligence can stop human stupidity.

On the other hand, we all love TF2, too and the last time we set up a server and did something like this it was tons of fun. We all hung around here in the office staying late, ordered some pizza and drinks and invited all of the community in to play with us. We should totally do it more often and it's nice to see this much of an interest in doing it again. It's just unfortunate timing with our previous server going AWOL, but we're taking care of that as soon as we get the new one all set up and good to go.

I cant do it on the Saturday but if everyone else can have fun. :)

I just discovered that my cousin only banned my account from VAC Secure servers. So if you would disable VAC and put a password on the server then I can join easily.

Of course, if none of the server operators trust me, I do have a corner that I can cry in.
