Nothing is confirmed yet, but personally, I think it's gonna be the Spy. Why? Because their latest post in the official blog ( http://www.teamfortress.com/ ) is labeled "Gentlemen" and the Spy says that so...well, that's my view. And not many people play as the spy.

At least not on Pc. On the Ps3 I get swamped by the bastards, and their infinite ammo sappers.

On an unrelated note, anyone know what the next "Meet The" video will be? I'm guessing the Pyro, and they'll pull a Metroid on us.

I doubt it. That would be like making Gordon speak. I think the Pyro one will be last, and just the Pyro doing Pyro-y things in his Pyrosuit. No mask taking off or clear speech or gender confirmation or any of that nonsense.

Sniper Upgrade

1: The Uber-Damage : Enemies hit with a headshot explode doing damage to the surrounding enemies. Weakness : Normal shots do 50% less

2: Magic Bullet : Snipers can perform shots that do not make sense, as long as they're in a Book Depository.

3: Calor Gas Stove : Because every camper needs one. Adds Fire damage to the Kukuri but only if stationary.

Seeming as how the flare gun for the pyro was meant to be somewhat like the incendiary cannon which they had in TFC i've got a feeling the spys gun is going to be the tranquilliser... thats all i can think of really.

That would be way too powerful. As an engineer, I'm telling you it makes no sense if they're there for half a second or a second.

It's going to be either the spy or the sniper. They started with the Medic update. What kills medics fast? Pyros. So they update the Pyro. What kills Pyros fast? Heavies. So they update the Heavy. What kills heavies? Snipers/spies.

Maybe that doesn't make any sense, so I will just go with the other argument for sniper/spy. Class order. First a support, then an offense, then a defense. Support's turn again.

As for what they could do, I think a set of X-ray goggles would do well. Not only are they supremely gadgety, but it would be helpful, but not game-breaking. Just give a soft glowing silhouette to anyone through a wall up to a certain distance. It would be easier to know if cloaking was necessary, when to run through a room, where engineers are, etc. It would have to replace the Sapper to be balanced. Have sniper-scope style put-on/take-off, with a small delay of blackness and a vision constriction.

Actually they're basing it on which class gets the least playtime. Either Soldier or demo is going to be last, with my bet being the Demo. Sniper 3rd to last and the scout coming after the spy.

I'll tell you this, the weeks after the scout and engineer updates are going to SUCK.

I agree, sapping is half the spy's job and possibly the most important, especially on fast respawn servers. I like the goggle idea, but I would probably let them replace the revolver. It gives the spy a significant disadvantage (no ranged weapon), while still letting him do what he does best.

Spy since he desperately requires a fix, then Scout because he's terribly underplayed. They need to give him some abilities that'd actually make him useful on A/D CP and PL.

As for the rest of them...

Soldier is fine but I would remove the damage drop off on distance from his RL.That's not how it works irl, it's supposed to gain power as it flies further.
Demo needs a sticky nerf.
Sniper is fine.
Engineer is as balanced as he can get.

what would be good for the spy is fake weaponry..
and the engineer? Motion sensors, if the spot an enemy, nearby sentries get a damage buff, replaces teleporter

Motion Remotes:
Hard to find, like Demoman's Stickies. If an enemy passes within 8 feet of one, it's like he walked into the detection way of a Sentry; *Beep beep beep!* and it starts tracking them, only firing if they enter into the normal firing and detection space.

Mod for the Engie: Normal: 1 Sentry, 1 Dispenser, 1 Teleporter Entrance and one exit.
Mod: 2 Sentrys, that's it.

Two sentry per engineer would be painful. You may not have the dispenser/engineer/sentry combo anymore but you would have double the firepower blasting away to make up for it. I think two sentrys might work if they also had less health then the one currently has now.

I don't think 2 sentries would be that bad; without a dispenser, it'd take forever to build and upgrade them, and they'd be pretty easy to take out with an uber. Kinda boring, though.

A more fun idea might be to let engies build a robot teammate instead of a sentry (less powerful, but mobile); probably impossible, though, since TF2 doesn't really have any movement AI. 2-way teleporters that take longer to build and/or recharge, or a Dispenser that explodes if a Spy tries to sap it (killing the Spy, but of course destroying the dispenser), could also be interesting.

I really hope they do some creative stuff for the Engineer; he's a construction class, so they could add just about anything they want to him as long as it's balanced.

Engineer's class is probably the easiest one to make upgrades for.All you have to do is assume that default set-up is for a Defensive Engie and then make a new one for an Offensive one.
