In TF2. | |
that would make more sense to people if you explained why, if only for the people who dont know what it involves doing
I have a PS3, explain your mystical "achievements"
In TF2 each class can do a 'taunt' and with the heavy and pyro it can kill. each of the two have an achievement for killing someone with a taunt. Aaaaaaaaand now it's not funny anymore.
I would have to say One Free Bullet...
While it was annoyingly difficult at times, The One Free Bullet was one of the more satasfying achievements to pull off. (In Half-Life 2 Episode One, you have to beat the game with only a single bullet)
Terminal Velocity in Portal... Epileptic seizure ftw. No, really, my favorite achievements are those from Assassin's Creed. I know it sounds lame, but I felt so leet after I was done with em all (yeahs theres still that 1 richard flag and 1 templar i cant find...)
Rock Band has to have the best titled achievement I've ever seen. Completing the career for drums on expert - "AN-I-MAL!!" - Okay so I haven't done it but I fully intend to after I finish with hard! As for one I've actually done, "Closure" - Finding all the puzzle pieces and completing Braid. Massive sense of accomplishment 'cause that game was a mental workout and a half.
Vanilla Crazy Cake from Portal
Little rocket man (send the gnome in Half-Life 2 Ep2 into space) was frustrating at times but fun to finally pull off.
Trophies ;) | |
Completing the bloody palace on DMC4, unfortunately I did this including taking a life each to do DmD mode and a level each on the bloody palace. But we definitely had fun.
I still haven't found the gnome or the vortinaught cave. /shame Mine would be 'Hardcore' in TF2. You have to get 1000 kills total. It's not crazy hard, but it feels so satisfying to learn people have fallen to you ONE THOUSAND times. Another one is 'That's One Frustrated Sniper' in Shadowrun. Wired Reflexes is an ability that makes you faster and harder to hit, plus, you can block headshots with it. You have to do that ten times to get it.
Aw man! You guys got achievements in that one?? The PC version doesn't have any...
The One free bullet.....
It was Crackdown, and it was two achievements back to back: First one is climbing all the way to the very tippy-top of The Agency tower (need to be almost 5 star agility fo rthe jumps). I thinks it's called 'Top of the World' Then: 'Base Jumper': Jump from the very top of The Agnecy tower and land in the water unscathed.
My vote is for Crackdown's "Base Jumper", too. That was the Achievement I had the most fun deliberately going for. It's such a visceral experience doing it. -- Steve
That was easy, try Aperture Science lol
Beat Halo 3 on Legendary, for the ridiculous number of points it gives you for doing something not half as hard as any other game's challenges (One free bullet or little rocket man). Seriously, 125? Honestly though, more fun would be One Free Bullet, but Zombie Chopper was awesome too.
Does it have to be 360? If not, in Kongregate, Fancy Pants 1: Complete in less than 180 seconds. Forget what it's called but that was a well earned 30 points :)
The Conversationalist acheivement in Assassin's Creed. I learned so much more about Mr. Miles.
surviving 10 minutes in 6 star wanted rating in gta4 without using cheats or exploits you feel so 1337 knowing that you just dodged 3 shotgun totting super cops that
I actually got that achievement really easily. All you really need to do is go through a railway tunnel in Bohan before you unlock Algonquin, drive through until the game recognises you as trespassing into the Algonquin zone (thus giving you 6 stars), and wait five minutes. The cops don't come down the tunnel or anything. But still, well done to you. You sound a million times better against the cops than me (and less of a cheater). Anyway, Call of Duty 4 had lots of little ones that were cool (Your Show Sucks, Ghillies In The Mist, No Rest For The Weary). Strangley the greatest achievement for me was when my gamerscore hit exactly 5000.
OMGWTFBBQ!
| |
TF2 the getting 1000 kills.
One Free Bullet. It was fun, and quite challenging. Funny thing, I got it while also getting Citizen Escort, so even more challenging.
Soviet Block in TF2 - I achieved this in the middle of a scrim blocking the doorway for not only an ubered heavy, but also a soldier and pyro. All four enemies ended up dead.
I quite liked "Astronomical Katamari" in Beautiful Katamari. It's surprisingly hard to roll one 1,500,000km in diameter.
My personal favourite that i've got is "mile high club" on cod4, the satisfaction i got from finishing that was great, although my favourite overall is "seriously" from gears of war (requires you to get 10,000 kill online), just because its possibly one of the hardest ones out there
I like the portal achievements in general..such a good game.
I completed Halo 3 on Heroic on my first try, that was pretty satisfying (except for the game itself)
The Irony Achievement on Bioshock. I took a photo of Coen's dead body for a laugh and it popped up as an achievement! Made me chuckle.
I call BS! it is a known achievement.
Actually, it's a hidden achievement; if you aren't following all the game news online, it's easily possible to trigger it by surprise. Indeed, I didn't know it was there on my first play through and I have yet to play the game again to the stage I can unlock it. -- Steve

Talk of the achievements on the Xbox 360 that you had the most fun achieving, my personal favourite was probably "make the jump" on call of duty 4, simply because of the actual fear created during that frantic escape. now, whats yours?
