On the top of my head: Uplink, Escape Velocity Nova and DEFCON... There are others, I just can't remember any more at the moment
"Mac Gaming" ^Contradiction in terms.
| |
I play Peggle. That's about it. For everything else, I have a Vista partition (that's unfortunately not working so hot right now). If Valve ported Steam to Mac (yeah right), then there would be no need for Windows.
Umm, Mac Gaming??? | |
Crysis on Very High via boot camp. Frame rate never drops below 30. Oh how i love the number 8. (Actually make that 4, Windows was stuck in a 32bit stone-age with XP.) Talk about a cock-slap, Mr. Gates.
Isn't Halo:CE for the mac too?
I recommend a copy of Windows to dual boot into. THere's a few games there
The hilarious Zero Punctuation video review not withstanding, EVE Online plays terrific on an intel-based iMac or MBP. So much so that I'm working to start a new cult. I call it Macs in EVE.
eve? and thats good?... and i dont want to put windows in my mac its just ugly hehe... so no more games? and i really dont like peggle... and yes ther is halo for mac XD and somewhere i saw a ps3 runing windows xp and in the windows they where runing halo in the ps3... it was weird to wach hehe
I'm on Lineage, old MMO :P but that is really as far as mac gaming goes for me other than flash games. I had warcraft 3 and Starcraft, but I had to wipe them :(
Aren't there more games available for the Virtual Boy than for the Mac? /too easy
Not really, as you still have to have Windows installed and last time I checked Microsoft primarily sell software.
| |
I'm not sure where people got the crazy notion that quoting someone without adding to the discussion constitutes a post...
Ha.... like Jaguar said, an oxymoron. http://ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20040703 PS: btw, how do you post links/pictures?
It's either going to be standard BB code or regular HTML code. I'll leave you to find the forum help and basic training for it though. I play a fair bit of Jedi academy on my MacBook. When I'm not working of course...
spore and civ 4 are good ones.
jajajaja people in jar room
well ive rigged it to have windows partition so i play stalker and crysis :p
*snort* Mac...*snicker*Gaming......*snicker*
Hey, if you think that Mac gaming lacks games, try Linux gaming for size. You have Nethack, some things by id Software, and that's about it, without using emulation or simulation. I had three months of exclusive use of Linux courtesy of the utter failure of Windows Me. Unfortunately, it was a dated form of SUSE Linux and didn't recognise my network adapter, so no internet and no possibility of downloading a newer form of it so that I could at least keep on the bleeding edge while I waited to obtain some form of Windows to rebuild my system. Oh well, at least I discovered Beneath a Steel Sky and learned some fundamental things about the operating system that would help me decide once and for all that I thought that Windows was utter bilge.
