play a mmorpg that is somewhat of a cross between Team Fortress 2, and World Of Warcraft. I.E: an FPS mmorpg that's fast paced, with quests, and the total polar opposite of Richard Garriet's games.

Hellgate London could've been awesome had they listened to me and the other beta testers who told them to PUSH BACK THE )@#(#*!@ RELEASE DATE and REFINE THE GAME.

No sooner did they launch then every reviewer lambasted them with exactly the same things we cried on the Alpha/Beta forums. Melee is gimped, you need an item shifting system, these later quests are buggy, hay make sure you got that platinum payer content ready! PS- The Lightning gun = Imba.

lets see here your talking about... Hellgate, Tabula Rasa, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, The Witcher, Deus Ex, and i cant think of any more to add to the list. to answer your question, yea, i'd give em a shot. you gotta at least find out if you like the game.

Are you talking about an FPS MMORPG, or an MMORPG version of a popular FPS? I think I would give the latter a miss.

Yeah, they didn't listen to anything we tried to tell them. My friend tried to justify preordering by saying "It's still in Beta!" Yeah... we'll see how long you play it. I hear the servers are shut down now?

Is your game PlanetSide? Almost sounds like PlanetSide.

Anyways, I wouldn't play just because I'm poor and can't afford a monthly fee. If there's no monthly fee, I'd give it a shot.

A bit of elaboration: Basically taking WoW, gutting it, pulling out the stupid camera system, replacing the combat with flowing fast-paced combat, and adding a bit more depth to your character. Perhaps tweaking the skill trees a bit.
