I figure that it can be a two part deal - SCE Santa Monica help with that, and Blizzard help with the God Of War themed mythology based RTS. I know that's why I said similar and not the same ^^ |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2169 Joined: 4 Jun 2008 | First of all, why the hell was Kid Chameleon ditched after one game? It was the stuff of legend (any game that lets you be Jason, a rhino, a pink flying dude, a samurai and a tank must be good...there is a law saying that). Secondly, where is Vectorman? Two games and then nothing but occasional appearances on SEGA collections? I say take your CoD4 and Half Life 2 and stick it where the sun doesn't shine! 1000 shiney pennies to the man who gives me another Vectorman. Final note, although they are apparantly working on it I'm going to mention it anyway. Duke Nukem: Forever. Enough said. |

I'd like to see Shenmue III, or a follow-up to Skies Of Arcadia personally, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for either at this point... :( |

Paperboy Posts: 47 Joined: 12 Feb 2008 | A game like Mirror's Edge. That was a thought i had in my head since... 1999, actually. A First Person run-on-walls, jumping and climbing and stuff. And why havent they made another Deus Ex lookalike game? A modern fps with character-skills and alternative storylines, and tactical equipment. And why have they yet to make a 3d PC-fighting game? |

Because Fighting games are crippled without a joystick or a D-Pad? User was banned for: Poll: What is your opinion on the Metal Gear Solid storylines?. (Permanent) |

They made a 300 game. It blew. We all knew it would. |

You would just have to be a different bomber at the start of every mission. Will never get made as its too controversal. |

You did go there, but you weren't the first. Others that shouldn't have been forgotten are: Run Like Hell (a sequel would have rocked...and it would have had more Breaking Benjamin), Firewarrior (it wasn't that bad) and Predator: Concrete Jungle. |

I.e BoS, Enclave, Raiders, Beast lords, Super mutants etc... oh yea and those robot thingies too |

Holy Toledo! Someone else actually remembers that awesome, hard as fuck, game. Don't forget Laser blaster dude and Knight dude that could inexplicably climb stuff. In fact said dude was pretty cool when he was simply a dude with sunglasses. I loved that game but couldn't get that far in it until years later and emulation + quick saves helped me through. It's like an 8-10 hour game with no saving! |

There is a follow up to Skies of Arcadia... it's coming out on the Wii. |
Beat Writer Posts: 131 Joined: 29 Aug 2008 | -A Spy Game in which you actually ARE a spy and are gathering information to send to your country to use against your enemies while avoiding detection of Espionage. -A modern fantasy RPG that's actually NOT made by a Japanese developer. Imagine say, using common Western fantasy cliches (eg every single thing described in a Dungeons and dragons manual minus Beholders) in a place that's like New York City? With elves and orc's racism against humans and scottish/irish/russian dwarves mirroring the racism we see today. (It also will have to include double standards, eg you can say whatever you want about Orcs but DON'T YOU DARE say anything not positive against Elves!) -A steampunk game with colour...like Bioshock. -A Dieselpunk game. -A game with "realistic" graphics that was designed by people who DON'T wear multiple pairs of sunglasses over their eyes when they go outside. (Twilight Princess, Shadow of the Colossus, I am looking at you...) |

Agreed, I've had allot of fun with Team Buddies, strangely enough it always seemed as if nobody else had played the damn game. I'd like to see a good Western MMO, not an RPG, but more in terms of a third person shooter with heavy Elder Scrolls-esque RPG elements. Or heck, a good free offline free roaming Western game. For some reason I've always had these ideas of a game like it, and how it would properly work, but it seems as if the industry is too busy making RPGs either about the dark ages or making them all sci-fi. I'd like to see a different era for a change. I'd also like to see some more XBLA games that are better played with an analog than a D-pad. I hate how too many developers simply remake or bring back old games that play best with a D-pad on a console that has a D-pad so bad it makes you wonder why the even put it on the controller.
Morrowind brought the whole race thing on the table already. |
Muckraker Posts: 328 Joined: 8 Jul 2008 | An actual sequel to Quake. I get that when John Romero left iD Software that they made Quake into a sci-fi furistic type game and left the horror stuff behind, but something that actually connected the origial and the second game would have been nice. |

Simple as the thread title.
And if you say "A decent MGS" I'm going to hit you.
A Hack and Slash Adventure game based on the World of World of Warcraft. A lot of that stuff is really cool, but only deeply committed players can reach it. Just give the rest of us a chance to fight these things.
A tie-in game to the old horror movies that put you in the shoes of the villain. Here me out. Nightmare on Elm Street. You get to kill these kids. However, much like Hitman, its all about technique. You need to terrify them the most before you kill them. You gain more powers the more you terrify the kids. And throw in a plot about revenge and the need to survie and be remembered.
