mask, visionnairies, or in fact any of the old 80's hanna barbera cartoons that shaped my view of the world.

naturally they would suck and not compare to my memories, but there you go...

Mortal Kombat... Ninety-Nine Nights style

Scorpion would whirl enemies over head. Sub Zero would make a massive wall of ice ram into people. Kano's firin' his lazer. Then comes the Animalities...

Legend of Zelda, 1st person

Actually even though there was a creative thread here some weeks back, it seemed like a lot of Escapists are seeking an Old West type MMO. Something that may span the period of Deadwood and Tombstone. I'm personaly pretty tied of 'fantasy' and psuedo 'sci-fi' MMO's.

Party Babyz. OH WAIT: http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sim/imaginepartybabies/index.html

Is there a thread for games that should never have been made (AKA: Shoot Yourself in Head After Playing)

A cleverly done parody game, not a lazy attempt that the Simpsons did.
i suggest a over-the-top cliche JRPG that pokes fun at its-self

@Eldritch Warlord : There is a PnP RPG called Monkey, Ninja, Pirate, Robot

I'm sorry, I don't play Pen & Papers. Not that I have anything against them, I actually think they're pretty cool.

And on that note: An accurate virtual version of Dungeons & Dragons comparable to modern computer RPG (and by computer I mean represented visually by a computing device).

The only game I know that has pirates, ninjas, zombies and robots is Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball on XBLA.

And that game is pretty crap, though it was to be expected with Gamecock being involved.

You mean Disgaea 3?

I'm on a roll here.

I'm gonna say...a commercially-released next-gen graphics roguelike (Diablo 3 perhaps?). Always loved roguelikes, the learning involved (albeit sometimes like a brick wall) and the terrible, yet laughable, deaths that occur in the process of said learning.

Also, a sequel to Eternal Darkness would be filled with awesome.

-A Zelda style Robin Hood game

-A Warhammer 40k Musou (Dynasty Warriors) game

-A Warhammer FANTASY Musou (Dynasty Warriors) game

-A GOOD Warhammer 40k FPS (Fire Warrior wasn't unplayable, but it wasn't -good- either)

-A modern fantasy RPG that's actually NOT made by a Japanese developer. Imagine say, using common Western fantasy cliches (eg every single thing described in a Dungeons and dragons manual minus Beholders) in a place that's like New York City? With elves and orc's racism against humans and scottish/irish/russian dwarves mirroring the racism we see today. (It also will have to include double standards, eg you can say whatever you want about Orcs but DON'T YOU DARE say anything not positive against Elves!)

They call that Shadowrun, it's a D&D Cyberpunk setting. They DID make a game for it, and it was bad.

-On that note, a GOOD Shadowrun game

A 3rd person hack and slash like LotR Conquest about pirates or samurai.
They don't make enough of those games

Was that sarcasm? Cause Koei makes a bajillion of those. Pirates is a new one though.

-A REAL Dues Ex 2

-Republic Commando 2

-Another Jedi Knights game- one that doesn't resemble a F***ing expansion pack to the last one either, JK:ACADEMY.

-Starcraft Ghost

-CRAB BATTLE!

-The Ghostbusters game that just died.

And on that note: An accurate virtual version of Dungeons & Dragons comparable to modern computer RPG (and by computer I mean represented visually by a computing device).

Look up Neverwinter Nights. I'm playing it right now. Not Neverwinter Nights 2, thats made of suck and fail. The original. It's been going strong for uh... shit 5-8 years now?

-Again on that note, a real NWN2 or a spiritual successor

On the topic of NWN, When I first tried the game I was pretty happy with it. I decided to go online and see what that had to offer. It went something like this:

Me: Hey guys let's go get some quests done, and kill things.
NWN Player: No! We must camp here for the night, stay near the fire, there are dangerous creatures about.
Me: Oh right, and I bet you're gonna have to go drop a deuce behind those bushes after a good night of tale telling around the fire with a barrel of mead at your side...

A *good* dragon game where you control your dragon in flight burning things and doing what dragons do. A game that has some intuitive controls though, like holding down a button to keep flapping your wings, or letting it go to start gliding. Really some 3rd person type controls would work.

A squad based game like Commandos that's based on the A-Team.

Some of us like to roleplay, there are different servers for different tastes. If all you want is to pwnificate monsters, there ARE servers for you believe me. I tend to lean towards the other side of the spectrum. Thats the beauty of NWN- it's like a design your own game, game. It is literally ALMOST the perfect "Design your own game", you just can't change the actual mechanics or systems much... though with eight years of scripting, they can do some crazy shit.

Post Scriptum: oh, and yes, they need to make a GOOD Dragon game. Why must all dragons feel like a sack of bricks with wings?

A sims game where you are a murderer. Or maybe a game like the Dark Cloud series that kept the original godmodding stuff without going so Japanese it could have been A Final Fantasy adaptation.

EDIT: OH OH OH I JUST REMEMBERED! A SimCity that allows for intense development on every level, and allows you to LIVE in the city, The Sims style, and you acn actually drive your car really fast, GTA style.

Total GodMod, man.

PSE: Who in hell writes post scriptum instead of PS? Thats like being like,"We could go to a store in the mall, exemplo gratia Sears, Hot Topic, Vanessa's, et alii."

Congrats. U nos sum Latin.

*Deep Breath*

1080' 3.
Dark Forces 5: Jedi Knight 4: Jedi Outcast 3: Jedi Academy 2: Jedi <Insert Word Here>
Eternal Darkness 2.
Full Throttle 2.
Monkey Island 5.
Tie Fighter 2.
Zak & Wiki 2.

Also, a proper Rayman game (not Raving Rabbids, fun though those are), a Doctor Who adventure game (series?), a decent Battlestar Galactica game and, for the love of G'Quan, an MMO set in the Babylon 5 universe.

First person survival game where you play a tribe elder starting near the dawn of civilization where you must successfully plan and manage your tribe while participating in any of the tasks required to sustain and grow your tribe.

Creating tools and the like would be done by 'hand'. For example, in order to make a spear you would have to take a piece of wood, round it out, and carve a tip out of one end. Or to make a better spear, do the same thing except instead of carving a tip, you shape a rock, get some sort of binding, and manually tie all the pieces together. Not some lame inventory based system, but a game where you have to actually do everything.

Further, you actively advance your tribe through the ages, eventually leading up to around the medieval era. Of course, your rolls would change as you progress, similar to how Spore was done, but the basic mechanics are the same. Of course, you'd only die if you did were killed.

Can you imagine war with weapons you've created? How neat would that be?

Obviously best done on the Wii, preferably with the Wii-Motion Plus.

Forgot one - the Star Wars arcade game, ported to WiiWare. Would be awesome in the Lightsaber levels.

I would love to see Nintendo pick up Blast Corps on the Wii.
